Blogmas 2019: Day Six Decoration shopping 🎄

One shop that is doing amazing Christmas decorations this year is Matalan.

They have a great mix of traditional and more modern decorations.

They also have a real mix of the types of decorations that they sell, from small tree decorations, tinsel, wreaths, tall standing nutcrackers, centrepieces, table clothes, sacks, stockings and so much more!

It’s all really affordable too.

I’ll try and include as much info about prices etc as I can 👍🏻

Let’s take a look!

I was literally in Christmas heaven browsing the aisles!!

Christmas throws, From £6

These look super cosy ❤

They had a selection of different themed throws from the traditional Farisle patterned ones as well as tartan ones, reindeer and christmas tree patterned ones and block coloured ones, in various Christmas colours.

Assorted coloured Christmas Stockings & Christmas sacks (Sacks £10)

These luxurious lettered sacks and stockings are really lovely.

Santa and Snowman stockings and sacks

I love these traditional stockings and sacks.

Super cute and great for traditionalists a kids a like!

Pine cone Christmas wreaths. £15

These are SO pretty.

They had circular red pine cone wreaths and White heart shaped pine cone wreaths. They also did feather wreaths.

Assorted colour tinsel

Because let’s be honest, theres not alot that’s more christmassy than row upon row of tinsel!!! 🌟

Assorted tree decorations.

These were sectioned off by colour/style, so you’d definatly be able to find something to fit your style/colour or theme.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this little look into Matalans Christmas offerings.

I love Christmas decoration shopping SO MUCH!!!

Zoella & Colour Pop collab Make up range 💄

I’ve really enjoyed Zoe Suggs, ‘Zoella beauty’ ranges for a while now and I got into watching YouTube when I started watching some of her earlier sit down videos, many of which were make up tutorials, so when I saw that she was finally doing a make up collaboration I couldn’t wait to try out some of the pieces.

I love the cute packaging and brunch theme to the whole collection.

Breakfast food is the best food after all!

I chose some of the pieces that I knew I would get a lot of use out of as I haven’t tried any Colour Pop products before so I don’t know what they are like.

I went for the Blusher, Highlighter & one of the liquid eye shadows.

Pressed powder blush ‘Soulmate’

A lovely pink blush.

Pressed powder highlighter ‘Swipe right’

A lovely creamy, gold highlight.

Creme supernova liquid eyeshadow ‘Bellini’

A lovely pinky champagne tone.

They look so pretty on and I have already been using (& loving!) them loads.

I can’t wait for an occasion to wear the eye shadow as it is so pretty. I’m not an every day eyeshadow kind of girl so I’ll be saving this for an occasion.

The highlighter and blusher, on the other hand will, be used daily and are a great addition to an every day make up bag (great staying power, they look good all day)

I also found the prices to be really reasonable too which is great 👍🏻

Blusher & Highlighter ($8/£6) each

Eyeshadow ($7/£5.30) each

Have you tried any of the collection?

Thoughts?!?

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂

Dior’s New Autumn collection 2018 💄

Last weekend I went into Debenhams, more specifically the Dior counter to see my lovely friend who works there.

She wanted to show me, and try out, some of the amazing products from Dior’s latest Autumn collection.

The collection boasts a wide range of products from lipsticks with a new semi matte formula, highlighters, eye shadow and blushers.

They are all so beautiful and I loved trying them out.

So, let’s take a look at the collection…

The collections are the ‘Dior An Diable’ & The ‘DiorRouge Ultra Rouge’

The An Diable collection includes some eye shadow palettes and some beautiful highlighters.

The Ultra Rouge collection is permenant and includes their new Semi matte lipsticks that last for 12 hours!! Within the lipstick collection they have four reds so you can choose your perfect shade. Who doesn’t love a red lip!

It also includes nail varnishes, the colours have been selected to compliment the other products in the range, this is a brilliant idea.

Everything in these collections is Limited edition except for the blushers and highlighters.

So, what products did I try out?

  • The Blusher is no 219 in the shade Rose Montaigne Shimmer.

This is a lovely kinky toned blush with a lovely shimmer running through it. This added a lovely rosy flush to my cheeks.

  • Highlighter Shade no 02.

This is a beautiful highlighter and it is SO pigmented. It gives you a lovely irredescent glow and is just so pretty.

Like the blushers these are the perfect size for popping into your handbag on the go, I’m not a fan of bulky packaging.

  • Ultra Rouge Lipstick in the shade Rouge 485.

This lipstick was a pretty pink tone. As I said it is semi matte but wasn’t at all tacky and it really did last on my lips.

I also love the lipstick packaging, it looks so sleek.

  • Eyeshadow palette in the shade 837 Devilish.

This eye shadow palette is so pretty. I love the range of colours and it has some perfect Autumn shades for day and night time looks.

Those goldy tones and the rosey, burgundy are just beautiful.

The colour I wore was the pretty and subtle pink shade in the top corner.

Again, a super handy size!

I had so much fun trying all these products out and I will be going back in to Debenhams to purchase a few myself!

The collection is well worth checking out, especially for all you make up and beauty lovers out there!

It’s very reasonably priced for such good quality and high end make up.

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂

Summer OOTD

Hi guys!

I havn’t done an outfit post for a while and I love them so here’s a Summer edition.

We had a family get together at the weekend and I checked the weather beforehand, highs of 27°…

So, I rifled through my summer wardrobe and summer bits for holiday to find something comfortable but sun ready!

I opted for a dress.

IMG_20180701_194207_940 - Copy

I picked this up from Primark and I absolutely love it, it’s SO comfortable and looks so pretty. I love the striped detail and embroidered flowers.

It’s a midi dress that goes in just at the waist and the top is high with two close straps.

IMG_20180701_194302_228

I don’t often wear dresses with these sorts of straps as bra straps can be an issue, but I really liked the fit of them on me.

It’s a lovely cotton material and it is so light and airy, perfect for hot summer days.

I paired this with my sunnies, a pair of little gold hoops and some simple tan strappy sandals.

~Dress: Primark, £11

~Sandals: Boohoo, £6

~Gold Hoops, Pack of 6: Primark £3

~Sunglasses: Specsavers £49

~Nail Varnish: Barry M Coconut infusions, Mint Green £3.99

Enjoy the sunshine!

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂

My new make up storage.

I really wanted to get my make up sorted but I was so busy throughout December (and over Christmas especially) so I didn’t get a chance. In the end I thought why not leave it until the new year and start a fresh then!

So here we are in the new year and I’m ready to show you what I collected to store my make up and how I’ve done it.

Some of this storage is what I got new for this sort out and some of this I already had.

I’m really pleased with the finished result although it was scary to see how much I’ve collected over a 5 month period!! I only really got into make up after having my make up trials for my wedding and when I started watching YouTubers around July/August time last year.

So let’s get into it and start with the storage! I went to a couple of different shops and picked up a few things, mainly from Primark, Tiger and B & M.

From Primark I got…

A lipstick holder for £1.50. I probably have more lip products than any other type of make up so I just use this to put some of fav lipsticks in. This one currently holds my Tanya Burr lipsticks.

I also picked up another lipstick organiser, that’s what you can see at the top of the picture, and a  little set of draws. These were £4 each.

I also got a make up brush holder for £4 (I think it was £4, I did get it a little while ago now!)

The brush holder is a simple black, faux leather brush case. You can close it up by putting the top on and and clipping it shut either side or like me, leave it open so you can see your brushes.

From B & M I bought…

A make up storage & organiser, this was between £2-£4.

I also got this set of plastic draws, these were also between £2-£4.

Tiger I chose these cute, patterned cardboard boxes.

wp-image-2078673307jpg.jpgwp-image-243137692jpg.jpg

They come in three different sizes and patterns and fit inside one another. They were only £1 each too, bargin!

Some other things that I used for make up storage are a set of three of Zoella’s make up bags from her Christmas collection. These were reduced to £4.99 so I grabbed them straightaway.

I also used the box that my Tanya Burr ‘Tanya presents’ set came in. This is from her Christmas collection too…

That’s it for storage so let’s get into how I used these items  to spruce up my collection and keep it neat and tidy.

As I said I used the little lipstick holder to house my Tanya Burr lipsticks and some of her Limited edition mini lip glosses from her Christmas collection. They are so pretty with the gold packaging.

In the bottom draw of my plastic draws set I put all my eyeshadow palettes.

I actually had more than I realised!!!
In the next draw up I put my blushers and bronzers, (palettes and single ones).

And in the final top draw I put a few random face bits including my colour correcting palette, a loose powder and some contouring and face palettes.

I knew I had a lot of lip products but I didn’t realise the extent of my obsession when it comes to this make up item 🙈💄

As well as the holder I mentioned I also managed to fill this (See below) with lip glosses and my favourite Bourjois matte liquid lipsticks as well as the Tanya Burr box!

In the little draws I filled one with eyeliner/mascara products and the other with my foundations/BB creams.

I used the long section of the organiser to house my highlighters and strobing palettes as well as the lipstick organiser.

In the three sections I put my liquid highlighters & eyeshadow primers, my lashes and my compact mirrors & nail files.

& finally the boxes!

In the large one I put my  new Tanya Burr palettes from her Christmas collection, ‘Pretty unstoppable’ and ‘beautifully defined’.

In the medium sized one I put my eyebrow products…

In the small one I put some random face products like my primers and illuminator.

I popped my little stand up mirror in the middle too.

I bought some Fairy lights from Primark for £3 to go around the edge of my make up area.

And here’s how it looks all finished…

I hope you’ve enjoyed this blog post! Let me know what you think 👍

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂
