Dior’s New Autumn collection 2018 πŸ’„

Last weekend I went into Debenhams, more specifically the Dior counter to see my lovely friend who works there.

She wanted to show me, and try out, some of the amazing products from Dior’s latest Autumn collection.

The collection boasts a wide range of products from lipsticks with a new semi matte formula, highlighters, eye shadow and blushers.

They are all so beautiful and I loved trying them out.

So, let’s take a look at the collection…

The collections are the ‘Dior An Diable’ & The ‘DiorRouge Ultra Rouge’

The An Diable collection includes some eye shadow palettes and some beautiful highlighters.

The Ultra Rouge collection is permenant and includes their new Semi matte lipsticks that last for 12 hours!! Within the lipstick collection they have four reds so you can choose your perfect shade. Who doesn’t love a red lip!

It also includes nail varnishes, the colours have been selected to compliment the other products in the range, this is a brilliant idea.

Everything in these collections is Limited edition except for the blushers and highlighters.

So, what products did I try out?

  • The Blusher is no 219 in the shade Rose Montaigne Shimmer.

This is a lovely kinky toned blush with a lovely shimmer running through it. This added a lovely rosy flush to my cheeks.

  • Highlighter Shade no 02.

This is a beautiful highlighter and it is SO pigmented. It gives you a lovely irredescent glow and is just so pretty.

Like the blushers these are the perfect size for popping into your handbag on the go, I’m not a fan of bulky packaging.

  • Ultra Rouge Lipstick in the shade Rouge 485.

This lipstick was a pretty pink tone. As I said it is semi matte but wasn’t at all tacky and it really did last on my lips.

I also love the lipstick packaging, it looks so sleek.

  • Eyeshadow palette in the shade 837 Devilish.

This eye shadow palette is so pretty. I love the range of colours and it has some perfect Autumn shades for day and night time looks.

Those goldy tones and the rosey, burgundy are just beautiful.

The colour I wore was the pretty and subtle pink shade in the top corner.

Again, a super handy size!

I had so much fun trying all these products out and I will be going back in to Debenhams to purchase a few myself!

The collection is well worth checking out, especially for all you make up and beauty lovers out there!

It’s very reasonably priced for such good quality and high end make up.

Until next time,

April Beauty Favourites πŸŒΈ

As its coming up to the end of April I thought that I would do an April favourites blog post as I havn’t done one of these in aaaaages! And these are some of my favourite blogs/vlogs to read and watch.

I’ve been trying out lots of different make up items this month so I thought it would be cool to make that the focus of my favourites.

So, let’s take a look at the beauty bits I’ve been enjoying throughout April 🌼

I’ve tried two new foundations this month, the Maybelline Super stay 24/7 full coverage foundation, in the shade porcelain and Rimmels match perfection foundation in the shade Ivory.

These are both really lovely foundations with great coverage and they are super affordable. The finish of these makes your skin look really flawless and they make a great base for your make up look.

Tanya Burr’s ‘Peony please’ illuminating powder.

This is just SO pretty. It is honestly one of my favourite make up items Ever.

It’s a great highlighter but also (and this is what I like to do) it is perfect for creating a pretty, fresh and glowy look. I apply this to the apples of my cheeks and along the top of my cheeks bones to give them a gorgeous glowy shimmer that makes your skin look amazing.

If you havn’t tried it I would 100% recommend giving it a go.

Benefit Ka-brow!

This is a fantastic brow product and its super long lasting. It’s creamy formula applies really easily and is great for creating a natural brow look in no time at all. The little angled brush makes it seamless when applying and creating shape and definition to your brow. This is often on offer in Boots so check it out if you are on the look out for a new brow product to try.

Some brushes that I have been loving are these two, as seen above. The large fluffyΒ  brush is by Real Techniques, I love using this to apply the Tanya Burr Illuminator to my cheeks and face.

The face brush at the bottom is also by Real techniques and it is what I’ve been using to apply my concealor/foundation recently and I am loving the finish it gives.

And finally, onto lip products.

Forever a fave… Tanya Burrs ‘Pink Cocoa’ creme lipstick. It is the prettiest nude shade and is so versatile, from everyday make up, evenings out and parties it is such a pretty shade.

I’ve also been loving pinky toned lip colours such as the Nyx soft matte lip cremes, especially the shade ‘Istanbul’. The perfect spring pink.

They are definatly a make up bag staple if you are a lover of liquid lipsticks!!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this insight into my current faves.
Maybe give some a go if your looking for something new to add to your make up collection!

See you soon.

Until next time,

Real Techniques Sculpting set.

I have been admiring the Real Techniques Sculpting set for a little while now. Most of my brushes are Real Techniques as I got them for a bargain price last year, check that out here.

So this sculpting set is a collectors edition so the look of the brushes is a bit different, they are more shiny and metallic as apposed to the usual matte look that the handles have. The set includes some brushes that I have wanted to try for ages as well as ones that I’ve wanted better versions of.

Let’s take a look at the set…

Accentuate favourite features, create defined contours for added depth, or simply enhance your natural bone structure with our collectors edition sculpting set.

With the use of light and dark makeup shades, this set gives you the flexibility to transform your look:

-Look pixel perfect even in harsh light.

-Ultra plush synthetic bristles.

  • Sculpting brush:  Features a wide, angled head specifically designed to help create defined contouts.
  • EXCLUSIVE Fan brush: Softly sweeps on powders & whisks away any excess make up for an even finish.
  • Setting brush: The key to completing any look with a controlled dusting of powder or highlighter.

(Pics below in order of list)

This is perfect for contouring and really defines your cheek bones.

This fan brush is so light and soft, it creates an amazing highlight with a small amount of product.

The setting brush is great for blending in concealer. This is what I’ve used it for so far and it works really well, especially for lighter concealor under and around the eyes.

Here’s how my make up looked when I used these brushes:

You can tell that these brushes are really good quality and this set only cost me Β£8.99 on eBay.

Which make up brushes are your fave?

    Until next time,

        August favourites πŸ€—

I’ve wanted to do a favourites post for ages but I’ve never got round to it. I might have mentioned some of these things in other posts but these are a few things that I have been loving this month.

        First up, beauty & skincare…

I have definatly mentioned these first two before and I am still loving these so much!

Maybelline brow satin in the shade ‘Medium Brown’. This is a make up staple for me now, it’s so easy to apply.

Bourjois Rough velvet edition in the shade 07 ‘Nude-ist’. This glides on really nicely and dries matte. I πŸ’Ÿ this liquid lipstick, it’s my favourite out of all of my lipsticks. πŸ’„

Revolutions New Pro Glow highlighter palette. These colours are so beautiful and shimmery. I particularly like the gold shades as I haven’t tried these in a highlighter before.

        And finally…

Niveas intensive hydration after sun moisturiser. We discovered this on our honeymoon and it was perfect to apply after being in the sun all day and for making your skin feel really fresh and rich in moisture.

I love the smell of this too as it takes me right back to our honeymoon…ahhh β›±

        Next up, fashion.

I love this t-shirt from Primark. I love the stripes and the heart patch is super cute. This was only Β£5.

I’ve been wearing my new Havaianas a lot this month! We’ve had some pretty nice weather so these have been perfect and they are super comfy.

These were only Β£21 after my 10% discount, I got them in Office.

        Let’s talk books…

I love reading and it’s one of my favourite hobbies. These two I have particularly enjoyed and they are by two of my favourite authors.

The first one I’ll talk about is ‘That girl from nowhere’ by Dorothy Koomson.

‘Clemency Smittson was adopted as a baby and the only connection she has to her birth mother is a cardboard box hand-decorated with butterflies. Now an adult, Clem moves to Brighton, where she was born, and meets someone who knows all about the butterfly box and what happened to her birth parents.’

This was one of the books I read on our honeymoon and I couldn’t put it down!

I’d also recommend her novel ‘Goodnight, beautiful’ that I read this month too.

I am currently reading ‘See me’ by Nicholas Sparks. I’m up to chapter 8 and I’m loving it already, his novels are just so easy to read.

‘Colin Hancock is giving his second chance his best shot. At 28, he’s focused on getting his teaching degree and avoiding all the places and people that proved so destructive in his past. The last thing he’s looking for is a serious relationship. But when he crosses paths with Maria Sanchez one rainswept night, his carefully structures life is turned upside down.’

        And finally, food!

A couple of food items that I’ve really been enjoying this month both come from Aldi. This is where we do our weekly shop so I just picked these up to give them a try and ended up loving them.

This fizzy drink is Raspberry and Mint flavour, it is so refreshing and tastes so fresh and yummy.

The Granola squares in the picture above ☝ are super tasty! They are ‘Crispy oats & Honey Granola bites’ little squares of oaty goodness, be careful though, they are super moreish πŸ™Š

What have you been enjoying the month? Let me know 😎

        Until next time,

        Roseanne πŸ™‚

My recent make up purchases πŸ’„

I’ve defiantly got more into make up since the wedding prep and make up trials. So many times I would think about buying make up then change my mind because I probably wouldn’t use it or even know how! I now go into shops to seek out new pieces for my ever growing collection and I find it quite exciting to experiment with different brands to see which ones work the best for me!

Here are my purchases from yesterday…

First up is is cute little eyebrow focus & fix shaping kit by Revoution.

I got it in light-medium as i have fair hair so like to keep my eyebrows toned down a bit. I like that you get the wax to shape and three different tones to use.

This is a great size to pop in your handbag and is only Β£2.50! Very affordable.
        Next up…

        Highlighter, highlighter, highlighter 🌫

I have really got into highlighters recently, they are a relatively new addition to my make up bag as I was a bit wary of how to use it to be honest. This is by Revolution and it’s their highlighting powder palette.

This one is so pretty and has three different shades to choose from.

I’ve only used the pinkie tone so far but I can’t wait to try out the others too. I’ve been watching YouTube videos to give me some tips.

Here’s a photo of the highlighter in use. You’ll have to excuse the quality of the photo as I only have my phone to use πŸ™ˆ

        This retails at Β£8.00.

Next up… All about the lips πŸ’‹

If I had to pick one item to carry around as a make up essential it would always be something for the lips. Yesterday I grabbed a couple of lip products.

This is a lip liner by BarryM. I actually picked this up after watching one of Zoellas blogs on her June favourites. Here’s a link to that: June favourites 2016

I brought no 15 which is shade ‘Rose’. This retails at Β£2.99.

I’ve left my favourite until last!

This is a Matte liquid lipstick by Bourjois, from their Rouge velvet edition range.

This is the second color I have brought from this range and I πŸ’– it. The shade is no 09 ‘Happy nude year’.

These are so great, they look lovely on and are really pigmented. It applies really smoothly and stays really well even when eating and drinking . One of the things I like the most about this Matte liquid lipstick is that it is much less drying than other ones I have tried, it feels really moisturising. I really like Sleek make up liquid lipsticks but they leave your lips feeling really dry as if they will crack,  this make doesn’t have that effect but still has the great look of a matte.

This shade is a nudey orange tone and I really like this, especially as it’s now summer🌞 this will look great on holiday with a tan πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

These are also in cute little bottles perfect for popping into your handbag. They retail at Β£8.99. I would highly recommend giving these a try!! πŸ‘„

It was a great time to go into Superdrug as they were offering 3 for 2 across their make up brands, I also managed to pick up a couple of nail varnishes πŸ’…πŸ» for a friend in the offer too, saving myself Β£6 in total βœŒπŸ»

I hope you enjoyed taking a look at my purchases, let me know how you’ve got on with these products or any you think I should try πŸ’πŸΌ

        Until next time,

        Roseanne πŸ™‚
