Blogmas 2019 Day Thirteen: Festive make up picks πŸ’„

At this time of year its Christmas parties galore, so I thought that I would put together a few of my make up favourites for the festive period.

Highlighter

This is my favourite make up item. Highlighter is perfect to add a seasonal sparkle and its so pretty!!!

A couple that I use, for going out, as they are super sparkly and a little glittery (a bit much for everyday) are:

Barry m liquid chrome highlighter drops liquid fortune

Barry M Liquid chrome

Revolution liquid highlighter liquid champagne

Revolution liquid highlighter

Face

One of my ultimate favourite products is Charlotte Tillbury’s HollyWood Flawless filter

This product is great for all occasions. It’s very light and just brightens the skin and gives you a lovely glow.

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless filter

Eyes

A smoky eye with a little black dress can be awesome for a work do, especially with a statement lip.

But if like me, you like a bit of sparkle (and you suck at creating ‘Smoky eyes’!!) then I’d go for a gold eye look.

I actually use one of my favourite highlighters all across the lid for a quick eye shadow.

Tanya Burr Cosmetics Highligher (Discontinued)

This colour looks lovely all over the lid.

These little eye shadow pots by Maybelline are also brilliant for creating a shimmery but speedy eye look.

Lips

I love a Christmassy red lip! Especially for a Christmas party.

Most drug stores do a red lip in their collections and they are usually very reasonably priced too.

A red lip that I bought on the highstreet recently and that defied my expectations is by Essence (Wilkinson’s) called ‘Craving you.’

& finally, one of my favourite bits…

Nails

I got my Christmassy nails ready for my work do this evening. I went for gels and had to go sparkly.

I did an undercoat for both of these glitters and then went for red with a gold accent nail.

I love them ❀

What are your beauty faves at Christmas time ?

Asos Christmas Charity jumper

I love the stylish cream colour of this jumper. The detailing of the colourful embroidered trees is really pretty, nice ans simple but effective. I like how they look like the they are made out of tinsel.

Β£28

Asos have a lovely selection of Fairisle patterned Christmas jumpers. So much so that I couldn’t choose! They ranged in style, size of the pattern and colour. Definatly worth checking out if you dont want anything too gimicky for a Christmas, something with a little festive feel to it.

Testing Primark make up palettes- Dupes!

Hi guys!

Hands up who loves Primark!! βœ‹ Hell yes.

And they have really upped their game when it comes to make up recently. They have a brilliant selection of products and currently some pretty cool dupes of high end make up products. So I thought I would give some a go!

I picked up three palettes, two are eye shadow palettes and one is a contour/eye shadow palette.

DSCN0366

The first two palettes are dupes for the Urban Decay Naked palettes, I went for Primark’s ‘Berry’ and ‘Amber’ palettes.

‘Amber’ channels Autumn for sure, and is a great dupe for the highly sought after Urban Decay Naked ‘Heat’ palette that everyone was crazy for in 2017.

‘Berry’ is more of a smokey palette with a mix of shades from the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette and the ‘Smokey’ Urban Decay palette. (Okay, I’m going to stop typing the word palette now, I think you get the idea)

Let’s take a closer look at each one!

Amber

This palette is full of lots of orangy, browny, red tones, with a mix of matte and shimmer shades. This palette is perfect for Autumn make up looks and to add a lovely warm glow to your lid.

The colours were really bright and I especially love the golden toned shimmer shades. They are really pigmented and the colours were really build-able on the lid.

7/10

Berry

These pretty purples and pinks make this a great Autumn into Spring palette. Again this palette is super pigmented with a lovely mix of matte and shimmer tones. I love the darker tones that blend really nicely into the crease of your eye lid to create definition and add a smokey feel to your eye shadow look. So pretty.

7/10

Chocolate

This palette smells so yummy. Super sweet and I LOVE the packaging! It has some lovely matte shades as well as the contour shades, but all in all I was a bit disappointed. Although aesthetically pleasing, the powders aren’t very pigmented (See above) and the contour shade is very light (Even for me!!). I tried to build the eye shadow colours on top of each other and although it did add a lovely soft brown colour to my lid they weren’t as build able or pigmented as the other two palettes. It’s a bit of a shame as this would make a lovely everyday palette with its neutral tones.

3/10

I hope you’ve found this useful! Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for these (& more) in Primark’s Beauty market place, in store. I can’t wait to try out some more of their products, super pleasantly surprised.

What products from Primark’s ranges should I test out next? What would you like me to review?

Until next time,

Roseanne πŸ™‚

OOTD: Casual layered lookΒ

Hi guys! πŸ‘

My outfit of the day post was quite popular last time (thanks for the love guys!) So I thought I would do another one for you.

I love writing these posts as clothes are one of my fave things, shopping counts as a hobby right?! (Albeit it a v.expensive hobby)

This is quite a casual look that I popped on to go to the cinema yesterday and I felt like this was quite cool but comfy too (always a winner in my book!!)

I think the accessories really make this outfit and it’s just a great outfit for everyday for those cooler “summer” days (or chilled out evenings) in the UK!

I’ll include as much information about the clothes/accessories etc as I can πŸ‘

Khaki Camo bomber jacket Β£10, Primark

Mom jeans Β£5, Primark

Tanya Burr Neutral ambience collection πŸπŸŒ΄

I was super excited to see that Tanya Burr had brought out some new additions to her beauty range, and what better way to spend my birthday money aye!?

I grabbed three of her four new products and I thought I would share them with you, let you know what they are like and such! So let’s get into it.

These are the two eyeshadow palettes. Let’s talk about the packaging!! It’s so pretty 😍 It’s a matte finish with shiny palm leaves and pineapples printed onto it. The ‘my escape’ palette is a lovely tropical green colour and the ‘my paradise’ is in a lovely copper colour

My escape 🌴

The four shades in this palette are: (from top left) New perspective, wild jungle, tree tops and master plan.

I love the dusky pink colour and the khaki colour is beautiful and has a lovely shimmer to it. I don’t have any colours like the khaki and it looks so pretty on. I love those two for an everyday look and then the bottom darker shades to add a smoky, night out feel to your eye look.

My paradise 🍍

The four shades in this palette are: (from top left) champagne cocktail, tranquillity, Miami sunrise and hammock (love that name!)
I love the coppery tones of this palette, this is a perfect addition to my eyeshadow collection (which mainly includes pinks) They are so pretty and again a lovely mix of matte and shimmery tones.

So pretty!

I also picked up one of the two new lipstick shades…

Sunday walk πŸ’„

This beautiful pinky toned lipstick is called ‘Sunday walk’ I love it soo much. Pink is my favourite shade and this is a lovely matte lip that looks really pretty on and can be quite subtle too, which I like! Great for everyday or a polished evening look, perfect with a smoky eye.

Having these products has made me want to start using eyeshadow more and trying out some different looks, being a bit more daring.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this little look at Tanya’s new products! Let me know if you’ve tried any out and your thoughts 😊

Until next time,

Roseanne πŸ™‚

Primark haulΒ

As promised here’s another Primark haul! Me and my sister went to the Primark on Oxford Street when we were in London recently and although we only had 15 minutes max we managed to grab an impressive amount between us!!

Im not sure it’s necessarily something to be proud of but I got some nice bits so I’m happy none the less haha #selfconfessedprimarkaddict

So let’s have a look at what I picked up!

Swimsuit Β£4

I love this swimsuit, it’s a lovely mint green colour with cute little pink flamingos all over it, adorable. I don’t need a new swimsuit but I am loving the tropical inspired prints of this season and for Β£4 you can’t go wrong!!

Plain black pumps Β£4

Although not overly exciting, I picked up two pairs of these plain black pumps for work. They are super comfy and again only Β£4 each.

Black Van style shoes Β£6

I was so tempted to ask for a pair of Vans for my birthday but I changed my mind at the last minute (hella expensive!!) and I’m glad I did!

I saw these in Primark literally the next day for Β£6 and you cannot tell the difference, in fact other than the enormous price difference the only thing they don’t have is a red vans tag on them.

Black pumps with gold detail Β£8

These were also bought for work and are a bit prettier than the others, however the size 6 in these doesn’t fit me even though the other black pumps are a 6, sadface.     So I will be having to return these, it’s such a shame as I love the gold detailing and tassels.

Dusky pink slip on mules Β£8
How pretty are these mules?! 🏡😍 my sister was on the hunt for these in the Oxford street Primark and when I saw them I had to grab a pair too!! They are a faux velvet material with a pretty pink bow on the front. They are super comfy as they are slip one and the colour is one of my favourites, plus only Β£8!!

Embroidered shirt Β£12

I am IN LOVE with this shirt. It’s beautiful. I love the trend of embroidery for casual clothes or on something more dressy so I instantly fell in love with this shirt when I saw it, Spring/Summer perfect πŸ‘Œ It’s a longer shirt which I like and the slight splits up either side make it really flattering with skinny black trousers for work or skinny jeans for a more causal look.

Les rose’ t shirt Β£6

This is a lovely causal tee with pretty rose gold/copper writing on the front, love it! The material is soooo soft too.

Dip dye t shirt Β£5

Coral is such a pretty summer colour so this really stood out to me when I was looking in the t shirt section. It’s an ombre effect from the coral to white and is slightly longer than a usual tee. I can’t wait to pair this with skinny jeans, 3/4 lengths or maybe even shorts (dare to dream!!)

Stripey t shirt with embroidered rose Β£6

Yep, your seeing right! Another stripey tee πŸ™ˆ But a girl can never have too many (Am I right!!) This one is a bit longer than a cropped tee but it is still quite short, it would work as a cropped top or if you’re like me and couldn’t think of anything worse grab those high waisted jeans/shorts/trousers and rock it with those instead.  I love the embroidered rose on it too πŸ₯€

Polka dot Sheer fashion socks Β£2

Tanya Burr recently wore some Vans with little socks like these and I loved the look so I grabbed these two pairs for Β£2. These have got cute polka dots on them.

Fishnet tights Β£3

These may seem an odd purchase but allow me to explain. As I said with my previous picture I took inspiration from a look Tanya Burr recently wore, but I couldn’t find the fishnet fashion socks in any of the Primarks I went in (even Oxford street!!) So, the next best thing was the tights because I figured under ripped jeans these would still be pretty cool as you can see the tights through the rips too.

Not everyones cup of tea i know but I  really liked this look.

So, those were my purchases! I hope you enjoyed this post. Let me know what bits you’ve picked up in good old Primark recently too πŸ‘

Until next time,

Roseanne πŸ™‚

OOTD: It’s all about dungarees πŸ‘–

As you’ll know, if  you’ve seen my recent post about my Spring clothes haul (you can check that out here) I recently bought a pair of dunagrees, these are really ‘in’ at the moment and I love mine from Boohoo, cool and comfy. Seen as they are new I thought it would be rude not to make them the focus of an outfit of the day. I’ll include as much info as I can about the clothes included πŸ™‚

Let’s take a look at the outfit πŸ™†

  • Skinny dungarees, Boohoo Β£12
  • Long sleeved striped top, H&M Β£12.99
  • Black longline bomber jacket, Boohoo Β£10
  • Choker set of 3, H&M Β£5.99
  • Floral pin badge Set of six, Primark Β£3
  • Black high top Converse Allstars, Office Β£42

This outfit is so comfy but really stylish too and I love the little details like the choker with the gold detailing and the embroidered floral badges! Got to love a bit of customization and making an outfit more you.

Let me know what you think πŸ‘

This warm weather is awesome. The sun is beating down as I write this, love it! What clothing items are you enjoying this Spring?

Until next time,

Roseanne πŸ™‚

My recent make up purchases πŸ’„

I’ve defiantly got more into make up since the wedding prep and make up trials. So many times I would think about buying make up then change my mind because I probably wouldn’t use it or even know how! I now go into shops to seek out new pieces for my ever growing collection and I find it quite exciting to experiment with different brands to see which ones work the best for me!

Here are my purchases from yesterday…

First up is is cute little eyebrow focus & fix shaping kit by Revoution.

I got it in light-medium as i have fair hair so like to keep my eyebrows toned down a bit. I like that you get the wax to shape and three different tones to use.

This is a great size to pop in your handbag and is only Β£2.50! Very affordable.
Next up…

Highlighter, highlighter, highlighter 🌫

I have really got into highlighters recently, they are a relatively new addition to my make up bag as I was a bit wary of how to use it to be honest. This is by Revolution and it’s their highlighting powder palette.

This one is so pretty and has three different shades to choose from.

I’ve only used the pinkie tone so far but I can’t wait to try out the others too. I’ve been watching YouTube videos to give me some tips.

Here’s a photo of the highlighter in use. You’ll have to excuse the quality of the photo as I only have my phone to use πŸ™ˆ

This retails at Β£8.00.

Next up… All about the lips πŸ’‹

If I had to pick one item to carry around as a make up essential it would always be something for the lips. Yesterday I grabbed a couple of lip products.

This is a lip liner by BarryM. I actually picked this up after watching one of Zoellas blogs on her June favourites. Here’s a link to that: June favourites 2016

I brought no 15 which is shade ‘Rose’. This retails at Β£2.99.

I’ve left my favourite until last!

This is a Matte liquid lipstick by Bourjois, from their Rouge velvet edition range.

This is the second color I have brought from this range and I πŸ’– it. The shade is no 09 ‘Happy nude year’.

These are so great, they look lovely on and are really pigmented. It applies really smoothly and stays really well even when eating and drinking . One of the things I like the most about this Matte liquid lipstick is that it is much less drying than other ones I have tried, it feels really moisturising. I really like Sleek make up liquid lipsticks but they leave your lips feeling really dry as if they will crack,  this make doesn’t have that effect but still has the great look of a matte.

This shade is a nudey orange tone and I really like this, especially as it’s now summer🌞 this will look great on holiday with a tan πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

These are also in cute little bottles perfect for popping into your handbag. They retail at Β£8.99. I would highly recommend giving these a try!! πŸ‘„

It was a great time to go into Superdrug as they were offering 3 for 2 across their make up brands, I also managed to pick up a couple of nail varnishes πŸ’…πŸ» for a friend in the offer too, saving myself Β£6 in total βœŒπŸ»

I hope you enjoyed taking a look at my purchases, let me know how you’ve got on with these products or any you think I should try πŸ’πŸΌ

Until next time,

Roseanne πŸ™‚
