I finally made it…

I can’t actually believe that I FINALLY get to write this blog post….

Those of you who have followed my blog for a while will know that I have been following the Slimming World plan for a few years, starting with my older sister Charlotte, back in 2014.

And now I am, as of Thursday 26th July 2018, A SLIMMING WORLD TARGET MEMBER!!

I went to weigh in feeling good after a positive week on plan, but not sure if I would get the 2lb loss I needed.

When I got on the scales and the numbers moved up and down, finally resting exactly on my target weight I was so shocked!!! & SO chuffed (I actually squealed!! & cried 🤣)

Ever since we booked our holiday over a year ago (Something crazy like 400 days ago!!) I said to myself I would get to my target, and at times I didn’t believe it to be honest, but it just proves that if you don’t let that doubt get the better of you and you carry on doing what you need to do, you can achieve your goals.

So Don’t give up!!!

I feel so good going into my holiday as a target member. I can’t remember the last time I felt as good in my clothes as I do now.

Buying my holiday clothes was such a pleasure this time round & I have been much more comfortable in my workout & summer clothes in the heat that we have been having.

It’s a great feeling to feel good about yourself.

Me and my twin sister Sarah were talking about this at group and saying that, even though we were always very slim when we were teens, we never felt as comfortable in our clothes as we do now, maybe you have to get to a low point in order to appreciate the high.

I know that I have achieved this, for myself and that’s pretty awesome.

I know that when I come back from holiday I am going to be straight out of my target (2 weeks in America, let’s be real) but I am armed with my target members book, motivation, good habits and everything that I have learnt so far on my Slimming World journey.

So, hopefully I will get back into that target range promptly.

Here’s a couple of cheeky little photo comparisons from 2014 now.

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂

Summer diaries: Week one!

I thought I would do a little series of blogs, throughout the Summer hols, all about what I get up to.

I asked over on my Twitter & Facebook page (@Roseannesblog) and it was a resounding yes, so here is Summer diaries instalment one.

The school I work at broke up on Friday so I’ll be starting it from then onwards.

Next week we are off on our holidays for 2 weeks so I will probably bring back my ‘Holiblog’ series from 2016, with the Florida edition, so that you can see what we get up to in Orlando.

Hopefully you guys will find this interesting & who knows it might even inspire you during the long summer break.

So let’s take a look at Week one!

Saturday 21st July 2018

Today I met up with my uni friends. We always try and have a couple of meet ups every now and then and we always meet in London.

We decided to do something a bit different this time and take the tube to the cinema at the 02.

But first, we met up in Westfield for a Nandos and a catch up!

We headed to the 02 to watch the 2pm showing of ‘Hotel Artemis’, I really enjoyed the film and the snacks!

I did a bit of shopping back at Westfield before I got my coach home.

Another fun day out together!

Sunday 22nd July 2018

Today my twin sister Sarah and my two nephew’s Noah & Casey came round for lunch!

We ended up spending the afternoon together, playing games, puzzles and we even went out to have a look at the boats and for a drink at a local cafe, in the sunshine ☀️

It’s the evening now and I’m staying over at my older sister Charlotte’s house with my niece Evie-Mae. We are off out together tomorrow so it made sense to stay over as she lives the other side of town to me.

Monday 23rd July 2018

Today we are off to a baby group (Me, my sister’s Sarah & Charlotte and my Niece Evie and Nephews Noah & Casey).

We had a lovely play in the sunshine, on the bikes, in the water & paint. The kiddies enjoyed a snack and we sung some songs together too, which was lovely.

I loved being able to go as I’m always at work when they usually go.

Off into town after the baby group and I bought a few holiday bits.

We just met our friend Demi for a coffee and a catch up in town and now I am heading to work.

20180725_113640.jpgThis morning I headed to the cinema with my two favourite little guys.

We went to watch Thomas & Friends: Big adventure! Armed with snacks and special cups we sat down and enjoyed the film.

The boys were so good and we all really enjoyed ourselves 😊

This afternoon my mum, my friend Steph and her two little boys are round for a cuppa, cake & a catch up!

We always try and meet up a few times in the holidays which is great.

Friday 27th July 2018

I’m off out this evening for drinks with my friend Charlotte. We are both off on holiday soon so we thought it would be nice to get together beforehand.

Coast to Coast & Cosy Club were our destinations for drinks.

I love Cosy Clubs ‘Cherry Bakewell’ cocktail 🍒

That’s Week One, done! I hope you’ve all been able to enjoy the sunshine wherever you are.

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂

6 Slimming World Sweet treats🍴

So, if like me you LOVE snacks and having a tasty treat alongside your free/speed food on the Slimming World plan then this post is perfect for you.

I love the versatility of the plan that Slimming World offers, especially the 5-15 syns that allows for some seriously sweet, and super yummy treats.

th

Below I have listed six of my fave sweet treats, including their syn values.

Hopefully this will give you some inspiration, if like me you need help with treat ideas and low syn snacks to get you through the day.

RidLMxkyT

1. Sweet & Salty popcorn

Ranging from 2.5-6 syns

The syns depend on the brand. I love the mini packets from Tesco that are 2.5 syns & Aldi’s own brand, which are a much bigger bag, for 6 syns.

Popcorn is a great snack, healthier than others & great for the cinema!

2. Hi fi bars

Syns: 3 syns each//X2 as a HEX B

My favourite flavour of hi fi bar is salted caramel, they are A-MAZING!

These are a great snack but some are also great as a cereal bar for a quick brekky on the go.

These are only available in class.

th

3. Snack biscuits

Syns: 2.5 syns per biscuit.

These are literally one of my favourite biscuits, covered in my favourite chocolate (I used to love the Cadbury shortcake bar in the blue wrapper!! 90s throwback!!) I didn’t realise how low in syns theses are… perfect with a cuppa and they definatly sort out that choc craving.

4. Nutella B Ready bars

Syns: 6 syns.

I LOVE these, they are so crispy and delicious and FULL of Nutella!! They are a great sweet treat for all you chocoholics like me.

5. No added sugar Jelly

Syns: 0.5 syn.

These make a perfect dessert after a meal, they are really tasty, with loads of flavours available & are really low in syns. My favourite flavour is raspberry.

Make sure it’s No added sugar Jelly as the others are more synful.

6. Whitworths Shots Berry & White chocolate

Syns: 4.5 syns

These are so sweet! I love the combo of dried fruit, which is naturally super sweet, and loads of little cubes of white chocolate, sooooo good.

They are surprisingly chocolatey too.

Well worth 4.5 syns as you get alot in the pack too, more than you’d think.

These are all perfect, they hit that sweet craving and make a great addition to a snack plate at the end of an eve.

So tasty!

Who says following a meal plan means you have to eat boring food aye, because let’s be honest, we all like a snack.

I hope you’ve found this handy. If you’d like me to do a savoury version then let me know.

Any of your ideas are greatly received too, anything to fend off my v.sweet tooth.

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂

Harry Potter Gobstone Alley box ⚡

One of the coolest gifts that I got for my birthday in May was a Harry Potter box of goodies. I recently received this from my friend and had to share it with you guys.

There are loads of Subscription boxes out there that are Harry Potter themed and they are also available as a one off box too, which is what I received.

So let’s take a look!

I love the detail that’s on each item, packaging and the box itself…

Inside the box…

You get a Umbridge proclamation with a list of all of the items in your box…

Summer OOTD

Hi guys!

I havn’t done an outfit post for a while and I love them so here’s a Summer edition.

We had a family get together at the weekend and I checked the weather beforehand, highs of 27°…

So, I rifled through my summer wardrobe and summer bits for holiday to find something comfortable but sun ready!

I opted for a dress.

IMG_20180701_194207_940 - Copy

I picked this up from Primark and I absolutely love it, it’s SO comfortable and looks so pretty. I love the striped detail and embroidered flowers.

It’s a midi dress that goes in just at the waist and the top is high with two close straps.

IMG_20180701_194302_228

I don’t often wear dresses with these sorts of straps as bra straps can be an issue, but I really liked the fit of them on me.

It’s a lovely cotton material and it is so light and airy, perfect for hot summer days.

I paired this with my sunnies, a pair of little gold hoops and some simple tan strappy sandals.

~Dress: Primark, £11

~Sandals: Boohoo, £6

~Gold Hoops, Pack of 6: Primark £3

~Sunglasses: Specsavers £49

~Nail Varnish: Barry M Coconut infusions, Mint Green £3.99

Enjoy the sunshine!

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂
