April Beauty Favourites 🌸

As its coming up to the end of April I thought that I would do an April favourites blog post as I havn’t done one of these in aaaaages! And these are some of my favourite blogs/vlogs to read and watch.

I’ve been trying out lots of different make up items this month so I thought it would be cool to make that the focus of my favourites.

So, let’s take a look at the beauty bits I’ve been enjoying throughout April 🌼

I’ve tried two new foundations this month, the Maybelline Super stay 24/7 full coverage foundation, in the shade porcelain and Rimmels match perfection foundation in the shade Ivory.

These are both really lovely foundations with great coverage and they are super affordable. The finish of these makes your skin look really flawless and they make a great base for your make up look.

Tanya Burr’s ‘Peony please’ illuminating powder.

This is just SO pretty. It is honestly one of my favourite make up items Ever.

It’s a great highlighter but also (and this is what I like to do) it is perfect for creating a pretty, fresh and glowy look. I apply this to the apples of my cheeks and along the top of my cheeks bones to give them a gorgeous glowy shimmer that makes your skin look amazing.

If you havn’t tried it I would 100% recommend giving it a go.

Benefit Ka-brow!

This is a fantastic brow product and its super long lasting. It’s creamy formula applies really easily and is great for creating a natural brow look in no time at all. The little angled brush makes it seamless when applying and creating shape and definition to your brow. This is often on offer in Boots so check it out if you are on the look out for a new brow product to try.

Some brushes that I have been loving are these two, as seen above. The large fluffy  brush is by Real Techniques, I love using this to apply the Tanya Burr Illuminator to my cheeks and face.

The face brush at the bottom is also by Real techniques and it is what I’ve been using to apply my concealor/foundation recently and I am loving the finish it gives.

And finally, onto lip products.

Forever a fave… Tanya Burrs ‘Pink Cocoa’ creme lipstick. It is the prettiest nude shade and is so versatile, from everyday make up, evenings out and parties it is such a pretty shade.

I’ve also been loving pinky toned lip colours such as the Nyx soft matte lip cremes, especially the shade ‘Istanbul’. The perfect spring pink.

They are definatly a make up bag staple if you are a lover of liquid lipsticks!!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this insight into my current faves.
Maybe give some a go if your looking for something new to add to your make up collection!

See you soon.

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂

Bank holiday Byfords

As the Easter holidays draw to a close I thought I would share with you guys one of the cool places I visited during my time off.

It was my father in laws birthday on Good Friday and he had planned a day trip for us to do with him, and it was a really good day out.

We traveled to a place in Norfolk called Holt where a cafe (whose name was very apt for the tripees) resides…. ‘Byfords’. Byfords is (in it’s own words) a posh B’n’B, It has rooms to stay in, a restaurant, a shop/bakery that sells yummy locally produced goodies & a little bit of merch (no ‘Byfords’ travel mug though, gutted.)

Being Byford’s we thought this would be a really cool place to visit and it didn’t disappoint. The exterior and interior were really quaint and quirky and the food was delicious.

Me and Tim both had the breakfast pizza and, if like us, you are both a fan of breakfast food and pizzas then this is something you need to try!! SO GOOD.

After a small walk around Holt we made our way to the North Norfolk railway for a journey on a steam train. Now I’m not a train enthusiast but even I thought that this was really cool. The station was like something out of Heartbeat (throwback!) And the steam train itself had serious Hogwarts express vibes with its old fashioned wooden interior and compartments.

After a stroll on the beach and a slice of cake and a cuppa to refuel we got back on the train and headed to out final destination.

We ended our trip by taking a boat trip out to see the seals. They looked really chilled and are hilarious when they waddle around. Despite the wet weather this was a lovely end the day.

We had a lovely family day out & I was knackered by the end of it. Such fun!

I hope you all enjoyed the bank holiday weekend & Easter holidays 🐣🐰

Until next time,

Leftover Easter chocolate!

If there is some leftovers after Easter Sunday… I’d be very surprised if I have any… I thought that these would be the perfect solution!

Don’t they just look delectable!?!

Grab those creme eggs that you couldn’t manage and make something yummy for yourself, or if you want to share (you might not, they are sooooo good) make them for family and friends too.

Gooey creme egg & mini egg brownies, absolute heaven 😍

I will leave a link to the basic brownie mix that I used and of course explain my eggcellent 😂 (sorry, not sorry) extra naughty but, nice additions.

BBC Good Food ‘Best Ever Brownies’ recipe

So I made up the Brownie mix that I’ve linked above, and stirred in a pack of mini eggs, with me it’s Cadbury’s all the way people. I then halved creme eggs and pushed them into the batter so they were halfway submerged in the gooey goodness.

Perfection.

You 100% need to give these a go if you are a lover of chocolate like me, you won’t regret it.

Let me know how you get on!

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂

Easter baskets for the kids 🐣

Easter has got to be one of my favourite celebrations. Now I’m not a Christian so I don’t celebrate it in the traditional sense, however I do enjoy the way that we ‘celebrate’ this annual occasion.

I love the giving (& recieivng of, because your lieing if you don’t enjoy receiving chocolate!!) chocolatey treats! Picking ones out you’ll know that your nearest and dearest will enjoy (FYI my fam, it’s all about Terrys choc oranges, Cadbury Mini eggs & Maltester bunnies 🤣)

I thought that since my nephews are a bit older it would be nice to get a bit creative with their Easter Gifts this year. I’ve also done a smaller scale one for my niece as she’s only 9 months old but I didn’t want to leave her out!

So let’s take a look at the goodies…

I picked up these super cute buckets from Home bargains and some ‘straw’ to fill them with.

I picked up a yellow one each for the boys and a purple one for Evie.

Now to add the treats…

In each basket the boys have got:

● A large chocolate character, one is a pig, ones a lamb.

● Mini assorted Easter chocolates

● A wind up toy, bunny & chick

● A large bubble wand

● A decorate your own chocolate egg kit

● For Noah I’ve popped in a Easter arts & crafts pack

● For Casey (as he is a bit smaller) I popped in a soft cuddly lamb teddy, super cute.

For Evie’s little basket I just filled it with some of her favourite snack bits & sweet treats, baby-tastic. I had to include her favourite banana wafers!

Such a cute & simple idea for the little ones.

Have a great Easter guys.

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂
