OOTD: Night out casual πŸ’‹

I had drinks with my work friends last night so I thought I would do a blog post of my outfit and make up look.

We started off at a casual bar so I went for a casual night out look. We did actually end up in town (& I was very thankful for my flats!)

We’ll start with the outfit…

I went for a black and white combo with this outfit.

The jumper is a black and white mix from H & M.

The black ankle grazer skinny jeans are from Primark.

The black choker comes from a set of three, again from Primark.

I pinned a little badge to my jumper to add a bit detail.

Red goes really well with black and the little rose is really cool. I matched my lipstick with this too and they both added a pop of colour to the look⚘🌷

My bag is from Primark too! It’s black with a suede effect flap on the front with gold detailing.

The black faux suede shoes with gold detailing are also from Primark.
I love how well these accessories go with the outfit and with each other.

Blogmas day 15! Beauty advent calender πŸ’‹

1o days to go until Christmas day!!

How exciting, the 10 day countdowns begun & it will soon be here before we know it.

I’m still not feeling great today which is so frustrating, I’ve missed a whole week of festive fun πŸ˜” but best not to dwell, let’s take a look at my beauty advent calender today.

As you’ll know from previous posts (Beauty advent calender) I have a beauty advent calender this year for the first time! In today’s window I got…

A mini compact mirror. This is so cute & super handy to pop into your bag.

It’s a lovely matte black finish with ‘Join the Revolution, Make up Revolution London’ written in rose gold/copper on the front. So cute.

What have you guys got in your beauty advents? What’s your favourite piece so far?

Blogmas day 2: Beauty advent calenderΒ

Day 2 is here! As I said yesterday this is all about my Beauty advent calender.

This is my first year of having a beauty advent calender and I’m loving it so far.

My husband kindly bought me this from Superdrug & it cost Β£40. I did feel a bit bad as it is now reduced to Β£25!

This one is really cool as it is 25 days and has full sized products in.

So what’s behind window no 2?

…a foundation Brush. I haven’t used a Revolution make up brush before so I’m looking forward to trying it out.

What beauty advent calenders have you guys got this year? 🌟

              Ho Ho Ho

OOTD: A Night Out look πŸΉ

Last night we had pre drinks at mine & Tim’s and then headed to town to celebrate my brother in law Dan’s 27th Birthday.

I really liked this outfit as it was a nice going out outfit but it was actually really comfy too, great for dancing πŸ’ƒ

I’ve also included the make up look that I went for, I’ll include as much information about the products I used & the clothes as I can!

We’ll start with the outfit first as I based the make up look on what I was wearing (Once I had decided!!)

Blouse: Primark Β£8-11 (sorry I can’t remember exactly)

Jeans, high waisted super skinny: Primark Β£8 reduced from Β£9

Shoes: Black patent moccasins, Primark Β£8

Choker:  with rose gold tips, Ebay Β£2.50 for a set of 2

I love these jeans for this look as they are really skinny and quite a dark denim so they look really smart with this outfit & are perfect for a night out. I don’t usually wear trouser for a night out but it was nice for a change.

The choker finished off this outfit really well, my sister got it for me from Ebay and it’s really cool. It comes as a set of two with a plain black velvet one.

I really liked how my make up turned out last night, I went a bit extra with the eyes as I think this is what sets a night out look apart from a everyday look.

Base/Foundation: Body shop bb cream shade 2, Β£12 & Bourjois Radiance reveal healthy mix foundation (1 pump) Β£9.99

Concealor: Collection lasting perfection in ‘Cool medium’ for the face, Superdrug Β£4.19 & Bourjois Radiance reveal in ‘Ivory’ for under the eyes, Superdrug Β£8.99

Blush: Revolution ‘Blush goddess’ blush palette, Superdrug Β£6

Highlighter: Sleek MakeUp Highlighter palette ‘Precious metals’ SuperdrugΒ£9.99

              Lipstick: Mac Velvet teddy Β£15

Eyes: Revolution ‘Fortune favours the brave’ palette, Superdrug Β£9.99

Charlotte Tilbury ‘Legendary lashes’ mascara Β£25

Make up brushes: Real techniques brushes

I really liked this look and I think my eyeshadow skills are defiantly improving.

This maroon, brown eye look went really well with my outfit, the revolution palette has some gorgeous colours.

The lipstick is a browny nude which I usually don’t like at all but I think this one is growing on me, I may need to add this to my Christmas list!!

I hope you enjoyed this going out look πŸ’‹

What are your make up favs for a great night out or an everyday look?

              Until next time,

              Roseanne πŸ™‚

              August favourites πŸ€—

I’ve wanted to do a favourites post for ages but I’ve never got round to it. I might have mentioned some of these things in other posts but these are a few things that I have been loving this month.

              First up, beauty & skincare…

I have definatly mentioned these first two before and I am still loving these so much!

Maybelline brow satin in the shade ‘Medium Brown’. This is a make up staple for me now, it’s so easy to apply.

Bourjois Rough velvet edition in the shade 07 ‘Nude-ist’. This glides on really nicely and dries matte. I πŸ’Ÿ this liquid lipstick, it’s my favourite out of all of my lipsticks. πŸ’„

Revolutions New Pro Glow highlighter palette. These colours are so beautiful and shimmery. I particularly like the gold shades as I haven’t tried these in a highlighter before.

              And finally…

Niveas intensive hydration after sun moisturiser. We discovered this on our honeymoon and it was perfect to apply after being in the sun all day and for making your skin feel really fresh and rich in moisture.

I love the smell of this too as it takes me right back to our honeymoon…ahhh β›±

              Next up, fashion.

I love this t-shirt from Primark. I love the stripes and the heart patch is super cute. This was only Β£5.

I’ve been wearing my new Havaianas a lot this month! We’ve had some pretty nice weather so these have been perfect and they are super comfy.

These were only Β£21 after my 10% discount, I got them in Office.

              Let’s talk books…

I love reading and it’s one of my favourite hobbies. These two I have particularly enjoyed and they are by two of my favourite authors.

The first one I’ll talk about is ‘That girl from nowhere’ by Dorothy Koomson.

‘Clemency Smittson was adopted as a baby and the only connection she has to her birth mother is a cardboard box hand-decorated with butterflies. Now an adult, Clem moves to Brighton, where she was born, and meets someone who knows all about the butterfly box and what happened to her birth parents.’

This was one of the books I read on our honeymoon and I couldn’t put it down!

I’d also recommend her novel ‘Goodnight, beautiful’ that I read this month too.

I am currently reading ‘See me’ by Nicholas Sparks. I’m up to chapter 8 and I’m loving it already, his novels are just so easy to read.

‘Colin Hancock is giving his second chance his best shot. At 28, he’s focused on getting his teaching degree and avoiding all the places and people that proved so destructive in his past. The last thing he’s looking for is a serious relationship. But when he crosses paths with Maria Sanchez one rainswept night, his carefully structures life is turned upside down.’

              And finally, food!

A couple of food items that I’ve really been enjoying this month both come from Aldi. This is where we do our weekly shop so I just picked these up to give them a try and ended up loving them.

This fizzy drink is Raspberry and Mint flavour, it is so refreshing and tastes so fresh and yummy.

The Granola squares in the picture above ☝ are super tasty! They are ‘Crispy oats & Honey Granola bites’ little squares of oaty goodness, be careful though, they are super moreish πŸ™Š

What have you been enjoying the month? Let me know 😎

              Until next time,

              Roseanne πŸ™‚

              • Bourjois radiance reveal concealor in the shade ‘Ivory’ Β£7.99

I chose this shade because I watched one of Zoella’s blogs where she recommended this for brightening  under the eyes and suggested getting a lighter shade than you would usually use on other areas of your face.

              MAYBELLINE

              • Maybelline colour tattoo 24 he creme eyeshadow in the shade 65 ‘Pink gold’ Β£4.99

              CHARLOTTE TILBURY

              • Colour chameleon eyeshadow pencil in the shade ‘Champagne diamonds’ Β£19

I chose this shade as it is designed for people with blue eyes, to make them stand out. This is great for applying all over the lid & crease of the eye.

Here is a swatch of the colour ‘Champagne diamonds

              • Charlotte Tilbury legendary lashes Β£25

This was actually a free sample when I brought the Colour chameleon, I thought if include it though as it’s a nice size bottle. I’ve included the price you would pay for a full size bottle online.

              ZOELLA

              • Zoella Blissful Mistful Fragranced Body Mist Β£8

This is from Zoellas original collection and smells so lovely.

              • Zoella make up bag Β£8

This is also from Zoellas original collection & is really cute. It says ‘these are a few of my favourite things’ on the front & different things that Zoella likes on the back it’s a lovely dark peachy coral colour.

              BARRY M

              • Barry M lip oils ‘Coco Loco’ & ‘ Berry Good’ Β£4.99 each

I actually got these after watching one of Zoella’s videos. She was talking about the Claines lip oils that she uses & that these were a good dupe for that brand.

              SLEEK

              • Sleek Make up creme contour kit in shade ‘Light’ Β£10.99

This kit comes highly recommended (which is why I bought it) and is a really high quality. I havnt really tried contouring much but this set comes with six different shades & a little leaflet to help you apply the appropriate colour the each area of the face.

              COLLECTION

              • Collection lasting perfection concealor Β£4.19

This also comes highly recommended and is a very good high street product. It’s affordable and brilliant quality.

              URBAN DECAY

              • Urban decay travel brush set Β£11.99

These are great for carrying around in your make up bag & for avoiding filling it to the brim 👍

              Roseanne πŸ™‚

My recent make up purchases πŸ’„

I’ve defiantly got more into make up since the wedding prep and make up trials. So many times I would think about buying make up then change my mind because I probably wouldn’t use it or even know how! I now go into shops to seek out new pieces for my ever growing collection and I find it quite exciting to experiment with different brands to see which ones work the best for me!

Here are my purchases from yesterday…

First up is is cute little eyebrow focus & fix shaping kit by Revoution.

I got it in light-medium as i have fair hair so like to keep my eyebrows toned down a bit. I like that you get the wax to shape and three different tones to use.

This is a great size to pop in your handbag and is only Β£2.50! Very affordable.
              Next up…

              Highlighter, highlighter, highlighter 🌫

I have really got into highlighters recently, they are a relatively new addition to my make up bag as I was a bit wary of how to use it to be honest. This is by Revolution and it’s their highlighting powder palette.

This one is so pretty and has three different shades to choose from.

I’ve only used the pinkie tone so far but I can’t wait to try out the others too. I’ve been watching YouTube videos to give me some tips.

Here’s a photo of the highlighter in use. You’ll have to excuse the quality of the photo as I only have my phone to use πŸ™ˆ

              This retails at Β£8.00.

Next up… All about the lips πŸ’‹

If I had to pick one item to carry around as a make up essential it would always be something for the lips. Yesterday I grabbed a couple of lip products.

This is a lip liner by BarryM. I actually picked this up after watching one of Zoellas blogs on her June favourites. Here’s a link to that: June favourites 2016

I brought no 15 which is shade ‘Rose’. This retails at Β£2.99.

I’ve left my favourite until last!

This is a Matte liquid lipstick by Bourjois, from their Rouge velvet edition range.

This is the second color I have brought from this range and I πŸ’– it. The shade is no 09 ‘Happy nude year’.

These are so great, they look lovely on and are really pigmented. It applies really smoothly and stays really well even when eating and drinking . One of the things I like the most about this Matte liquid lipstick is that it is much less drying than other ones I have tried, it feels really moisturising. I really like Sleek make up liquid lipsticks but they leave your lips feeling really dry as if they will crack,  this make doesn’t have that effect but still has the great look of a matte.

This shade is a nudey orange tone and I really like this, especially as it’s now summer🌞 this will look great on holiday with a tan πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

These are also in cute little bottles perfect for popping into your handbag. They retail at Β£8.99. I would highly recommend giving these a try!! πŸ‘„

It was a great time to go into Superdrug as they were offering 3 for 2 across their make up brands, I also managed to pick up a couple of nail varnishes πŸ’…πŸ» for a friend in the offer too, saving myself Β£6 in total βœŒπŸ»

I hope you enjoyed taking a look at my purchases, let me know how you’ve got on with these products or any you think I should try πŸ’πŸΌ
