OOTD: Night out casual ๐Ÿ’‹

I had drinks with my work friends last night so I thought I would do a blog post of my outfit and make up look.

We started off at a casual bar so I went for a casual night out look. We did actually end up in town (& I was very thankful for my flats!)

We’ll start with the outfit…

I went for a black and white combo with this outfit.

The jumper is a black and white mix from H & M.

The black ankle grazer skinny jeans are from Primark.

The black choker comes from a set of three, again from Primark.

I pinned a little badge to my jumper to add a bit detail.

Red goes really well with black and the little rose is really cool. I matched my lipstick with this too and they both added a pop of colour to the lookโš˜๐ŸŒท

My bag is from Primark too! It’s black with a suede effect flap on the front with gold detailing.

The black faux suede shoes with gold detailing are also from Primark.
I love how well these accessories go with the outfit and with each other.

On to make up…

A Christmas party make up look: Blogmas day 21 ๐Ÿ’‹

Since I had my work Christmas party last night I thought I would do a Christmas party make up look for you guys. I loved this look with a red lip and bronze eyeshadow.

The products that I used were:

  • The body shop bb cream in Shade no 2 mixed with Bourjois healthy mix radiance reveal foundation in the Shade light beige, 1 pump of each.
  • Collection lasting perfection Concealor in Cool medium & Bourjois radiance reveal Concealor in Ivory.
  • Clinique face primer creme
  • Revoltuion blusher ‘love’
  • Make up obsession highlighter in the shade ‘bronze’
  • Revolution make up eye primer
  • Make up obsession eyeshadow in the shade ‘rich’ & Maybelline Nudes palette.
  • Diorshow mascara in black
  • Tanya Burrs perfect brows palette
  • Rimmel lip Liner in the shade 004 ‘Indian pink’
  • Tanya Burrs lipstick in the shade ‘Big kiss’

Brushes

  • Real techniques beauty blender; I used this for foundation & concealor.
  • Real techniques buffing brush; I use this brush to apply blusher.
  • Real techniques base eyeshadow brush; I used this to apply the base colour of my eyeshadow & the darker colour into the outer corner.
  • Real Technique multi-task brush; I use this brush to just wipe away any excess and clean up the look.
  • Primark fan brush for highlighing; this Brush applies highlighter flawlessly. I only recently got this after wanting one for ages and I would 100% recommend getting one of these.
  • Revolution, Limited edition angled brush; I used this brush for my eyebrows.

I used a mixture of two face products in order to give more coverage all night without being too heavy. I love the mix of my bb cream and the healthy mix foundation, it works really well. I used a pump of each on my beauty blender to apply it to my face.

I used the Collection concealor for my face and any blemishes or spots and the Bourjois concealor under my eyes which is why I go for a lighter shade to make under my eyes brighter.

I bought a few of the products listed above expecially for this make up look, these were…

I love the colours that you can get by ‘Make up obsession’ and I went for a glowy bronze look with the highlighter and eyeshadow as I thought this would work really well with the red lip. The eye primer I used (from my beauty advent calender) was also fab and my eyeshadow stayed perfect all night.

Tanya Burrs lipsticks from her Autumn collection are AMAZING. people kept asking me all night what lipstick I was wearing and commenting on how well it had stayed on even whilst I was eating the meal. I love the slightly darker shade of red in this lipstick, it’s party perfect.

    Here’s the finished look!

I was really please with this make up look & it went perfectly with my outfit but would be so versatile for so many party looks!

I hope you liked the look too ๐Ÿ’‹

In my beauty advent calender today…

Today I got a baked blusher! This is one of my favorites items from the advent calender so far!! I love pink blushers and this one is beautiful ๐Ÿ˜

    Ho Ho Ho

OOTD: A Night Out look ๐Ÿน

Last night we had pre drinks at mine & Tim’s and then headed to town to celebrate my brother in law Dan’s 27th Birthday.

I really liked this outfit as it was a nice going out outfit but it was actually really comfy too, great for dancing ๐Ÿ’ƒ

I’ve also included the make up look that I went for, I’ll include as much information about the products I used & the clothes as I can!

We’ll start with the outfit first as I based the make up look on what I was wearing (Once I had decided!!)

Blouse: Primark ยฃ8-11 (sorry I can’t remember exactly)

Jeans, high waisted super skinny: Primark ยฃ8 reduced from ยฃ9

Shoes: Black patent moccasins, Primark ยฃ8

Choker:  with rose gold tips, Ebay ยฃ2.50 for a set of 2

I love these jeans for this look as they are really skinny and quite a dark denim so they look really smart with this outfit & are perfect for a night out. I don’t usually wear trouser for a night out but it was nice for a change.

The choker finished off this outfit really well, my sister got it for me from Ebay and it’s really cool. It comes as a set of two with a plain black velvet one.

I really liked how my make up turned out last night, I went a bit extra with the eyes as I think this is what sets a night out look apart from a everyday look.

Base/Foundation: Body shop bb cream shade 2, ยฃ12 & Bourjois Radiance reveal healthy mix foundation (1 pump) ยฃ9.99

Concealor: Collection lasting perfection in ‘Cool medium’ for the face, Superdrug ยฃ4.19 & Bourjois Radiance reveal in ‘Ivory’ for under the eyes, Superdrug ยฃ8.99

Blush: Revolution ‘Blush goddess’ blush palette, Superdrug ยฃ6

Highlighter: Sleek MakeUp Highlighter palette ‘Precious metals’ Superdrugยฃ9.99

    Lipstick: Mac Velvet teddy ยฃ15

Eyes: Revolution ‘Fortune favours the brave’ palette, Superdrug ยฃ9.99

Charlotte Tilbury ‘Legendary lashes’ mascara ยฃ25

Make up brushes: Real techniques brushes

I really liked this look and I think my eyeshadow skills are defiantly improving.

This maroon, brown eye look went really well with my outfit, the revolution palette has some gorgeous colours.

The lipstick is a browny nude which I usually don’t like at all but I think this one is growing on me, I may need to add this to my Christmas list!!

I hope you enjoyed this going out look ๐Ÿ’‹

What are your make up favs for a great night out or an everyday look?

    Until next time,

    August favourites ๐Ÿค—

I’ve wanted to do a favourites post for ages but I’ve never got round to it. I might have mentioned some of these things in other posts but these are a few things that I have been loving this month.

    First up, beauty & skincare…

I have definatly mentioned these first two before and I am still loving these so much!

Maybelline brow satin in the shade ‘Medium Brown’. This is a make up staple for me now, it’s so easy to apply.

Bourjois Rough velvet edition in the shade 07 ‘Nude-ist’. This glides on really nicely and dries matte. I ๐Ÿ’Ÿ this liquid lipstick, it’s my favourite out of all of my lipsticks. ๐Ÿ’„

Revolutions New Pro Glow highlighter palette. These colours are so beautiful and shimmery. I particularly like the gold shades as I haven’t tried these in a highlighter before.

    And finally…

Niveas intensive hydration after sun moisturiser. We discovered this on our honeymoon and it was perfect to apply after being in the sun all day and for making your skin feel really fresh and rich in moisture.

I love the smell of this too as it takes me right back to our honeymoon…ahhh โ›ฑ

    Next up, fashion.

I love this t-shirt from Primark. I love the stripes and the heart patch is super cute. This was only ยฃ5.

I’ve been wearing my new Havaianas a lot this month! We’ve had some pretty nice weather so these have been perfect and they are super comfy.

These were only ยฃ21 after my 10% discount, I got them in Office.

    Let’s talk books…

I love reading and it’s one of my favourite hobbies. These two I have particularly enjoyed and they are by two of my favourite authors.

The first one I’ll talk about is ‘That girl from nowhere’ by Dorothy Koomson.

‘Clemency Smittson was adopted as a baby and the only connection she has to her birth mother is a cardboard box hand-decorated with butterflies. Now an adult, Clem moves to Brighton, where she was born, and meets someone who knows all about the butterfly box and what happened to her birth parents.’

This was one of the books I read on our honeymoon and I couldn’t put it down!

I’d also recommend her novel ‘Goodnight, beautiful’ that I read this month too.

I am currently reading ‘See me’ by Nicholas Sparks. I’m up to chapter 8 and I’m loving it already, his novels are just so easy to read.

‘Colin Hancock is giving his second chance his best shot. At 28, he’s focused on getting his teaching degree and avoiding all the places and people that proved so destructive in his past. The last thing he’s looking for is a serious relationship. But when he crosses paths with Maria Sanchez one rainswept night, his carefully structures life is turned upside down.’

    And finally, food!

A couple of food items that I’ve really been enjoying this month both come from Aldi. This is where we do our weekly shop so I just picked these up to give them a try and ended up loving them.

This fizzy drink is Raspberry and Mint flavour, it is so refreshing and tastes so fresh and yummy.

The Granola squares in the picture above โ˜ are super tasty! They are ‘Crispy oats & Honey Granola bites’ little squares of oaty goodness, be careful though, they are super moreish ๐Ÿ™Š

What have you been enjoying the month? Let me know ๐Ÿ˜Ž

    Until next time,

    Today’s make up look 💄

I thought I would share today’s make up look! It’s quite a low key look, focusing on the eyes 👀

I apologise if the pictures aren’t great but I’m in the process of getting a new phone ๐Ÿ™‚

Disclaimer: I don’t claim to be good at applying make up, this is still relatively new to me but I’m really enjoying it and I love applying it all and trying  out different looks!

I’ll list the products I used for each part of the look.
    So here it is…

So, I started off by moisturising using my Olay Beauty Fluid. I apply this all over the face and rub it in.

Next up I applied my illuminator. I used Sleek Make ups Barekissed illuninator in the shade ‘Casablanca’. I applied this using a beauty blender.

It gives my skin a lovely glow.

Next up I applied my foundation layer, for a lighter finish today I used my BB cream. The BB cream I used is The body shop All-in-one BB cream Shade no 2.

After foundation I applied Concealer. I applied this under my eyes to hide any dark circles and on any spots or blemishes. I used a beauty blender to apply both my BB cream & Concealor.

The concealer I used was Collections lasting perfection concealor in shade no 2 ‘Cool medium’.

After concealor I did my blusher & highlighter 👑

I used Bourjois Paris blusher in shade 74 ‘Rose Ambre’. The highlighter I used is by Revolution and is one of their baked highlighters.

    Eyes!

I used a mix of palettes for this, I’ll pop a list below.

Before applying eyeshadow I use a primer, I would definatly recommend this as it makes the eyeshadow apply better & last longer. The primer I used was by Revolution, Focus & Fix eye primer.

I used a pale pink for the base, a shimmery pink in the crease, a dark brown/grey tone for the outer corner of the eye, a cream tone for the inner corners and a dark burgundy to add definition at the corners & under the lower lash line.

    Palettes used…

    • Revolutions Redemption palette Iconic 3
    • Maybellines The blushed nudes
    • Barry Ms Super Natural Eyeshadow palette Superdrug exclusive.

The Mascara I used is Dior’s ‘Diorshow’ Mascara in black.

    Next up eyebrows…

I get my eyebrows threaded and tinted so all I do is shape and fill them using my Maybelline brow satin in the shade ‘Medium brown’. I will be featuring this in my next Beauty haul blog but I would definatly recommend giving this product a go.

Finally, lips 💄 I love liquid lipsticks but this time I went for a lipstick with a matte finish.

This is a MAC lipstick in shade ‘Pink plaid’. I got this from duty free on my recent holiday & I love this pinky tone. Pinks are defiantly my favourite when it comes to most make up items 🌸🌹

I used my Revolution Pro fix Oil control Fixing Spray at the end to make the make up last longer.

    Here’s the final look ๐Ÿ™‚

If you have any questions about the products I used let me know and I’ll try my best to answer them 👍

    Until next time,

    Roseanne ๐Ÿ™‚

Acid wash ripped jeans, Primark ยฃ13.

    All together…

    Total cost; ยฃ42.99.

    Until next time,

My recent make up purchases ๐Ÿ’„

I’ve defiantly got more into make up since the wedding prep and make up trials. So many times I would think about buying make up then change my mind because I probably wouldn’t use it or even know how! I now go into shops to seek out new pieces for my ever growing collection and I find it quite exciting to experiment with different brands to see which ones work the best for me!

Here are my purchases from yesterday…

First up is is cute little eyebrow focus & fix shaping kit by Revoution.

I got it in light-medium as i have fair hair so like to keep my eyebrows toned down a bit. I like that you get the wax to shape and three different tones to use.

This is a great size to pop in your handbag and is only ยฃ2.50! Very affordable.
    Next up…

    Highlighter, highlighter, highlighter ๐ŸŒซ

I have really got into highlighters recently, they are a relatively new addition to my make up bag as I was a bit wary of how to use it to be honest. This is by Revolution and it’s their highlighting powder palette.

This one is so pretty and has three different shades to choose from.

I’ve only used the pinkie tone so far but I can’t wait to try out the others too. I’ve been watching YouTube videos to give me some tips.

Here’s a photo of the highlighter in use. You’ll have to excuse the quality of the photo as I only have my phone to use ๐Ÿ™ˆ

    This retails at ยฃ8.00.

Next up… All about the lips ๐Ÿ’‹

If I had to pick one item to carry around as a make up essential it would always be something for the lips. Yesterday I grabbed a couple of lip products.

This is a lip liner by BarryM. I actually picked this up after watching one of Zoellas blogs on her June favourites. Here’s a link to that: June favourites 2016

I brought no 15 which is shade ‘Rose’. This retails at ยฃ2.99.

I’ve left my favourite until last!

This is a Matte liquid lipstick by Bourjois, from their Rouge velvet edition range.

This is the second color I have brought from this range and I ๐Ÿ’– it. The shade is no 09 ‘Happy nude year’.

These are so great, they look lovely on and are really pigmented. It applies really smoothly and stays really well even when eating and drinking . One of the things I like the most about this Matte liquid lipstick is that it is much less drying than other ones I have tried, it feels really moisturising. I really like Sleek make up liquid lipsticks but they leave your lips feeling really dry as if they will crack,  this make doesn’t have that effect but still has the great look of a matte.

This shade is a nudey orange tone and I really like this, especially as it’s now summer๐ŸŒž this will look great on holiday with a tan ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ

These are also in cute little bottles perfect for popping into your handbag. They retail at ยฃ8.99. I would highly recommend giving these a try!! ๐Ÿ‘„

It was a great time to go into Superdrug as they were offering 3 for 2 across their make up brands, I also managed to pick up a couple of nail varnishes ๐Ÿ’…๐Ÿป for a friend in the offer too, saving myself ยฃ6 in total โœŒ๐Ÿป

I hope you enjoyed taking a look at my purchases, let me know how you’ve got on with these products or any you think I should try ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿผ

    Until next time,

    Roseanne ๐Ÿ™‚
