Blogmas Day Twenty Two: Christmas Eve Boxes đŸŽ…đŸť

3 days to go!!

I love putting together a Christmas eve box for my Nephews and Niece. I have been doing it each year since my Nephew Noah was born. It is one of my favourite traditions as I love to treat them.

You can get some great (various sized boxes) for this purpose from places like Card Factory, B&M, Home Bargins, and most Card or Pop up Christmas Shops.

It’s fun and festive finding little bits and bobs to go in them.

Here are some things that I usually go for:

  • Chocolate Coins
  • Box of Festive Cookie Mix/Cupcakes
  • Chocolate Santa
  • Festive Sweets
  • Christmas activity pack
  • Christmas arts & craft sets
  • Christmas Pjs
  • Christmas Socks
  • Christmas decoration
  • Novelty Christmas headware/hats/hairbands
  • Reindeer food
  • Hot chocolate sachet
  • Mini Christmas games eg Christmas Snap
  • Christmas hair bands

Hopefully that gives you a little bit of inspiration!

Here are my Christmas eve boxes for this year..

Have you put these together before?

What do you like to include?

Until Next Time,

Roseanne 🙂

Ingredients:

  • White Chocolate
  • Mini Kinder bars

  • Magic Stars
  • Green food colouring

Method:

  1. Place a Kinder bar, vertical, at the bottom of your piece of parchment.
  2. Slowly melt your white chocolate, 30 second increments until it is all fully melted.
  3. Mix in some green food colouring.

Let me know how you get on if you give them a go!

Halloween Fun 🎃

I Love Autumn & Halloween… here’s what we got up to !

We went out for the day, to a nearby farm!

It was brilliant.

There was SO much to do.. we made wands, got sorted into our Hogwarts house, had a spooky trailer ride, explored the spooky maze, picked and decorated pumpkins, pettee guinea pigs & rabbits, looked at loads of other animals and had a bug trailer ride.

A great family day out, themed really well and with lots of fun to be had.

We had a fun little family Halloween party at my sisters house.s

She set up some fun activities for them, we also had a buffet of party food, spooky tunes and Halloween pass the parcel.

Me & Tim always do a few Halloween traditions at home – these include carving a pumpkin (we’ve done one every year that we’ve been together) and I make us ‘Spooky Sausages’ which are meant to look like mummies.

I also like to watch horror films but Tim isn’t too keen on those so thats usually just me haha

Some of my favourites are Scream, Halloween, Hocus Pocus, Nightmare before Christmas and Nightmare on Elm St.

Our local cinema was showing some Halloween classics on Halloween.

Me and my Twin sister Sarah always watch horror films together so we went along and watched the original Scream! I can’t believe its the 25th Anniversay 😱

Scream is my favourite ‘Scary Movie’ and it was cool to watch it on the big screen.

What did you get up to this Halloween?

Do you have any traditions??

Until Next Time,

Roseanne 🙂

Blogmas 2019 Day Twenty Five: Christmas Eve pt 2 đŸŽ„

Let me just start by saying Merry Christmas! I hope you all have the best christmas day with your loved ones. Eat, drink, be merry and care free.

Christmas eve pt 2

The evening

Here is the second half of our Christmas Eve adventures.

Our tradition, and one of my absolute favourites, is our Christmas lights tour of our home town.

We have usual hot spots that we visit each year but I also like to keep an eye out, in the few weeks leading up to Christmas, for any other lights that would be good to drive by.

My twin sister Sarah usually comes but she wasnt able to this time as she was working so my husband drove us, mum, and my two nephews around.

Once we had seen our share of lights we headed back to the boys house and gave them their Christmas eve boxes.

Once they had munched on some chocolate, it was time for Christmas PJs, setting up for Santa C and a festive bedtime story.

I got my two nephews and niece matching Christmas pjs, the same print but the boys were blue and Evie’s were pink.

They were lovely, and only ÂŁ7 each from Asda.

I got them all a size up so they can have them for next year too.

All ready for Santa! 💙🎅🏻

Once the boys had listened to ‘The Night Before Christmas’ story and gone to sleep we settled down to have our Nachos and watch some Christmas tv.

We watched ‘Father Christmas’ and the Christmas Eve episode of Eastenders ready for tomorrow.

It was nice to chill after a fun but busy day!

& of course when I got home I had to get ready for Santa myself…

That’s it for another year of Blogmas, it goes by quicker every year!!

25 days, 25 festive posts, Done.

🎁🎄 Merry Christmas! 🎄🎁

Blogmas 2019: Day Nineteen Christmas Eve boxes

Hi guys!

So, of course Christmas day is the big day we all countdown to but I love Christmas eve and boxing day too.

Over the years we’ve added traditions to these days as I think they are just as good a day to celebrate as the 25th.

When my nephews, and now my niece too, came along I started a tradition of doing them a Christmas eve box each.

Its just a few little fun things but it really builds the Christmas excitement, the day before, and I like that it’s my little tradition that I do with them ♥️

So, what to put in a Christmas eve box?

In loads of supermarkets and shops in town they are now selling either ready made or empty ‘Christmas eve boxes’.

I like to fill mine myself as my nephews and niece are all different ages and I like to pick things that I know they would like.

I picked up the christmas boxes I’m using last year…

Places like Wilko, Card Factory, B&M,The Works, Tesco, Asda all have their own ones on offer.

What do you put in it?

Here’s what I have gone for this year…

(This is the content of my nieces box, she is two and a half years old, but it’s not particularly girly, my nephews have got pretty much the same.) I will add some extra ideas at the end too.

A Christmassy story.

I love books and I think its so important to get children interested in reading. My Niece loves books so I got her this Christmas classic.

Christmas Arts & crafts

I love popping something fun in, and it gives you something arty to do on Christmas eve, to keep the little ones occupied.

I got my niece this little ‘Make your own wreath set’ she has her own little tree this year that she loves so I thought she would like her own Christmas wreath to hang too.

Chocolate coins

A christmas classic item and a nice little treat.

Some cute little Christmas bath puppets (although they don’t have to just be used in the bath!)

My niece loves a bath so I thought she would enjoy these in general, but also on Christmas eve when she is getting all cosy and ready for bed.

Christmas pjs/new pjs

And on the same cosy theme I got her some new festive pjs to pop on after her bath. I went for these super cute festive ones from Asda. I loved the print and they had ones you could get for different ages to match.

I got my nephews the blue versions so they are all going to be matching, super cute!!!!

A Christmas decoration

I saw these cute little decorations when I was shopping in Wilkinsons (Check out more of their collection here.

I picked up a cheeky elf one for my niece. They also had a santa, a snowman and a reindeer.

Cookies for Santa

I thought that these were a lovely way of adding to the age old tradition of leaving Santa a snack on Christmas eve.

This is a really simple cookie making set and then you get a few festive bits to decorate them.

Again, I thought this would be fun and a great way to get them into the festive spirit and keep then occupied on Christmas eve.

I thought I would also include this as they are super cute and great for kids. I have previously bought these for my nephews but as this is the year my niece will really be having a proper Christmas dinner I thought it was time she had one too!

So cute and super fun!

Other ideas:

•Christmas activity books

•Christmas sticker books

•Cosy socks

•Hot chocolate

•A little Christmas teddy

• A pack of Reindeer food

• A selection box

• A Christmas top or Jumper

•A Christmas card game

•A Christmas plate for Santa

Unfortunately it wasn’t the best outcome as my team got relegated after this match! So, its League one for us next season. I still enjoyed watching the football non the less. COYB!

Sunday 14th April

Kaitlyn’s 4th Birthday party

My friends little girl turned 4 so we had some fun at soft play & cake of course!

Wednesday 17th April

Breakfast with friends

Today I met my twin sister, nephews & our friends Livy, Demi & CC for breakfast at our local Harvester! (Because let’s be honest, breakfast food is the best food!!)

It was lovely to catch up, especially as one of my friends is very close to her due date so it was lovely to see her before she becomes very busy!!

Thursday 18th April

Evie-Mae’s first sleepover at Auntie Ro Ro’s & Uncle TT’s

It was lots of fun having Evie to sleepover!

Friday 19th April

Good Friday

In the morning, once Evie was up, baths had been done & breakfast had been served, we went for a play and a lovely walk to the park.

It was beautiful weather & Evie loved the play area. We then sat down for a refreshing drink & snack at the park cafe before mummy & Daddy collected her 😊

In the evening we went out for a family meal to celebrate my brother in laws 30th Birthday.

Saturday 20th April

Our first BBQ of the year!

On Saturday the beautiful sunshine continued and it was glorious!

We had our first BBQ of the year, at my father in laws.

Sunday 21st April

Easter Sunday

I love Easter Sunday (& not just because of the vast quantity of chocolate that is consumed) but because it’s just a lovely day and as a family we always get together.

For as long as I can remember we have gathered on Eastet Sunday for a Chinese (delish!) My Nana started this tradition and I’m determined it continues (& again, not just because of the delicious Chinese food consumed haha) but because I like traditions and there is something really lovely about keeping them alive.

In the morning I did some Easter baking with the boys and I took another trip, to another local park, with the boys for a play in the sunshine. This was lovely before our Chinese.

We also enjoyed our Easter eggs and swapped treats with each other.

The boys and Evie were really pleased with their Easter buckets.

Monday 22nd April

Easter Monday

This was one of my favourite days of the bank holiday. Tim took me to his work (which I hadn’t seen before) & showed me a lovely walk that him and his colleagues often do at lunch times.

We walked some of the way, stopped for a yummy lunch, at Suffolk Food Hall, in the sunshine and then walked the rest of the loop back to the start.

It was a beautifully sunny day and I really enjoyed myself, the walk was stunning

&

it was a lovely way to spend some time together ♡

& that’s a wrap! A brilliant Easter holiday full of fun, sorting out, Spring cleaning & relaxing… perfect.

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂

Blogmas Day 25: Christmas eve boxes🎁 that’s a wrap!

🎅 MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE 🎅

Yesterday we had fun enjoying some festive frivolity with my sisters, niece & nephews and then out with friends for lunch.

In the evening, once we had seen the Christmas lights, we cracked open the Christmas eve boxes for the boys.

For the adults we all had new pjs, I had friends ones, Tim had dinosaur ones and Sarah & Dan had Grinch ones.

I put together a Christmas eve box for my nephews Noah & Casey as well as my niece Evie-Mae.

They seemed to really enjoy it.

They all especially liked the little light up, spinning toys.

So, what did I put into the boxes?

The boxes varied slightly as Noah & Casey are a bit older than Evie.

Noah & Casey

○Chocolate coins

○A Chocolate lolly each

○Reindeer food

○A light up, spinning toy

○A little Christmas book

○A Christmas puzzle

○New, Cosy Pjs

Evie-Mae

○Chocolate coins

○A Little Christmas book

○A light up, spinning toy

○A little Christmas book

○New, Cosy Pjs

Look at them in their matching Harry Potter Pjs 😍

They all seemed to enjoy their boxes and it’s a fun, cute little tradition to add some more magic to Christmas eve.

I love seeing their excited little faves.

I hope you have enjoyed my Blogmas posts this year, I love doing it, it always makes me feel so festive and I love sharing my love of Christmas.

I hope you all have the very best Christmas & a Happy New year.

See you in 2019!!

Blogmas Day 24: Decorating gingerbread men.

It’s Christmas Eve!!

I can’t believe it, this Blogmas has been the quickest yet.

Only One day to go!!

love doing festive craft and cooking with my nephews and niece.

I found these cute ‘decorate your own gingerbread man’ sets in the Co-op.

You get six mini gingerbread men (perfect for little ones) some icing tubes and sprinkles to decorate.

This is great for little ones as the gingerbread men aren’t too big, a good treat size, and nice and simple for them to.

They were all very excited to get started.

The set came with a little tube of icing and two different types of sprinkles.

It was a nice little bit of festive fun for the kiddies and of course their favourite part was the eating!

Merry Christmas Eve!

If you want to know how we are spending Christmas eve have a look at Blogmas Day Five

Whatever you are doing, I hope it’s a good one 🎄

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂
