I love documenting what we get up to in the Summer holidays.
Though thanks to Covid we didnt actually have a Summer ‘holiday’, I also didn’t have to work this Summer, so I had all six weeks to enjoy, have fun and relax ready for Sept!
So, without further ado, let’s have a look at what we got up to…
I love doing a diary for each school holiday, it’s a great way of remembering what Ive got up to, a 21st century diary ๐๐ป
Friday 24th May 2019
Me & Tim got some good use out of our Unlimited Cinema cards tonight by watching two films!
We watched ‘Detective Pikachu’ followed by ‘Rocketman’.
Both were really good. We had already seen Detective Pikachu and we just wanted to see it again, great for any Pokemon fans โ๐ป
Rocketman was also really good but not my fave of the recent biopic films.
Saturday 25th May 2019
Today I met up with my friend and her boys at the park. I took Noah & Casey with my to play with her boys.
They loved the bus ride.
We had a great time at the park, enjoying the sunshine and playing with all of the boys ๐
Me & Tim took the boys to see ‘Secret Life of Pets 2’. This was Casey’s pick as he loves cats ๐ & he really enjoyed himself.
In the eve, once I’d dropped the boys off, me and my friends met up again and had a Chinese together at a local buffet restaurant. So good.
& a great opportunity for a catch up!

A busy weekend rounded off with a family day trip to Cambridge for some retail therapy.
Me & Tim drove down with my twin sister Sarah, Noah & Casey, whilst my older sister Charlotte drive down with her husband & Evie.
It was a lovely day and we enjoyed shopping (First stop, Primark of course!) Followed by some yummy lunch from our favourite Italian which we introduced to everyone, Aromi ๐๐ป Their veggie pesto lasagne is the one.
The kids loved the play area too.

Cult Cafe for Tea, Cake & Games.
This has become our bank holiday Monday tradition and it’s great.
We usually chill on the bank holiday ans as the weekend was busy this is what we did. In the afternoon we decided to get out for a bit, Cabin fever was setting in!

Today, with work, we visited a local farm.
It was a lovely day, really chilled It was fun being outside and visiting a farm I hadn’t been to before either.

Today we met my friends little boy, Finley โก
We hadn’t met him before and it was lovely to have cuddles he is adorable.
& it was a great excuse to get the girls together and have a bit of tea & cake.
Our friend was home for the weekend too which was great timing.
We went to my other friends in the evening for dinner which was great too.

To round off the half term we decided to again take advantage of the lovely warm weather by taking a trip to Felixstowe.
‘Oh, I do like to he beside the seaside… ๐’
We enjoyed a lovely meal of fish & chips, Mr Whippy & doughnuts on the beach. We had a lovely stroll along the prom before heading into the pier for some amusements. The perfect afternoon.
I even had a little paddle ๐โ๏ธ The weather was great.

I thought I would do a little series of blogs, throughout the Summer hols, all about what I get up to.
I asked over on my Twitter & Facebook page (@Roseannesblog) and it was a resounding yes, so here is Summer diaries instalment one.
The school I work at broke up on Friday so I’ll be starting it from then onwards.
Next week we are off on our holidays for 2 weeks so I will probably bring back my ‘Holiblog’ series from 2016, with the Florida edition, so that you can see what we get up to in Orlando.
Hopefully you guys will find this interesting & who knows it might even inspire you during the long summer break.

Saturday 21st July 2018
Today I met up with my uni friends. We always try and have a couple of meet ups every now and then and we always meet in London.
We decided to do something a bit different this time and take the tube to the cinema at the 02.
But first, we met up in Westfield for a Nandos and a catch up!
We headed to the 02 to watch the 2pm showing of ‘Hotel Artemis’, I really enjoyed the film and the snacks!
I did a bit of shopping back at Westfield before I got my coach home.
Another fun day out together!

Today my twin sister Sarah and my two nephew’s Noah & Casey came round for lunch!
We ended up spending the afternoon together, playing games, puzzles and we even went out to have a look at the boats and for a drink at a local cafe, in the sunshine โ๏ธ
It’s the evening now and I’m staying over at my older sister Charlotte’s house with my niece Evie-Mae. We are off out together tomorrow so it made sense to stay over as she lives the other side of town to me.

Today we are off to a baby group (Me, my sister’s Sarah & Charlotte and my Niece Evie and Nephews Noah & Casey).
We had a lovely play in the sunshine, on the bikes, in the water & paint. The kiddies enjoyed a snack and we sung some songs together too, which was lovely.
I loved being able to go as I’m always at work when they usually go.
Off into town after the baby group and I bought a few holiday bits.
We just met our friend Demi for a coffee and a catch up in town and now I am heading to work.

This morning I headed to the cinema with my two favourite little guys.
We went to watch Thomas & Friends: Big adventure! Armed with snacks and special cups we sat down and enjoyed the film.
The boys were so good and we all really enjoyed ourselves ๐
This afternoon my mum, my friend Steph and her two little boys are round for a cuppa, cake & a catch up!
We always try and meet up a few times in the holidays which is great.

I’m off out this evening for drinks with my friend Charlotte. We are both off on holiday soon so we thought it would be nice to get together beforehand.
Coast to Coast & Cosy Club were our destinations for drinks.
I love Cosy Clubs ‘Cherry Bakewell’ cocktail ๐
