Hi Guys!

So this weekend me and my husband went to the Stranger Things Experience.

I bought us tickets for Tim’s birthday in July and we have really been looking forward to it since.

We decided to dress up for the experience.

I dressed as Eddie Munson…

And Tim dressed as Dustin Henderson…

The experience was really cool and really well done. It genuinely felt like we took a little trip to Hawkins, Indiana and snuck around the lab.

The actors and everyone involved were really good and very authentic – some of them were a little too good at staying in character.

Once we had finished the experience we were free to go around the merch/eating/drinks area. The themeing was really cool and very well done. They had recreated lots of iconic Stranger Things ‘Sets’ and rooms to make your experience really immersive.

There was the Surfer Boys Pizza Van, Family Video, Scoops Ahoy and they even recreated the iconic living room of the Byers house, fairy lights and all.

As well as these there were smaller themed areas and sets that were themed around Hawkins high and the Roller Rink from Season 4.

I had to do a little Eddie Munson Redemption Photo…. 86′ baby!

There was some cool merch on offer too (although not as much as I thought there would be) and a Hellfire Club themed Merch area which was amazing.

There were lots of cool photo opportunities with sets and props as well as retro photobooths.

Photo bioth snaps

It’s a brilliant experience for any Stranger Things fans and I would definitely recommend it.

The only negative I can think of is that maybe the actual experience could have been a little longer. It’s a 45 minute experience but I think an hour would make it more worth the money.

And prehaps a little more specific merch for some of the main characters like Dustin, Steve and Eddie.

I did pick up some cool bits though, Inc some Hellfire bits and a cool poster for our picture wall.

Eddie & Dustin’s Day Out
My fave!

Like I said, I would definitely recommend it, it was a really fun afternoon out.

Have you been?

Who is your favourite Stranger Things character?

Until Next Time,

Roseanne 🙂

Blogmas Day Twelve: A festive, but productive day đŸŽ„đŸ›đŸ›

So, here we are! Day Twelve.

Today has been both festive, productive and fun.. my kind of weekend in the run up to Christmas.

Me & hubby had a little lazy start, followed by a yummy breakfast because there is no better way to start a weekend.

After that I went Christmas shopping with my sister, which was fun!

And we well and truely shopped until we dropped.

But, I managed to get the everything that I needed!! Which is awesome.. I mean, I nearly lost an arm under the weight of my bags, but its all good because the Christmas shopping is done!

When I got home from town I had a nice, relaxing, festive bath.

Gotta love a Lush Festive Bath product.

This one smells so good and is a reusable bubble bar! ‘Elfie Stick’

It was so nice to chill after a fun but hectic time in town.

Feeling refreshed, I have now spent the evening sorting out what I bought, wrapping some more presents.

Super festive!

I’m now about to start decorating our second tree… because I decided one was enough and so I grabbed another one today, in town.

What’s your idea of a fun, festive day?

Until Next Time,

Roseanne 🙂

Blogmas Day Six: Hogwarts in the Snow🌨⚡

The • Warner Bros • Studio • Tour

Today, me, my husband Tim, my twin sister Sarah & her family went to the Harry Potter Studio tour in Watford.

We have wanted to go for AGES as we havn’t been since my Hen do!! And that was over 4 years ago!

Plus, the boys have never been…

…And we have always wanted to go near Christmas as they run the ‘Hogwarts in the snow’ event.

Just when you thought Harry Potter couldn’t get anymore magical they chuck snow over everything😁

& their Christmas decorations 😍

This was the perfect December Day out to get us all into a Magical Christmas mood.

Let’s take a look …

It was really nice to have a relatively ‘normal’ festive, fun day out.

If Hogwarts doesn’t get you into the festive spirit I don’t know what will!

19 days to go!

Until Next Time,

Roseanne 🙂

Blogmas 2019 Day Fifteen: Visiting Winter Wonderland â„

I’m in London all weekend so I thought I would share all of my festive activities with you guys.

Today, after staying up in London with one of my Uni friends (See yesterdays post for what I got up to in London yesterday ~ Blogmas Day 14 we met up with another of our uni friends and went to Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park.

I’ve been a couple of times before but not for at least two or three years, so it was nice to get the opportunity to go again and see what’s changed and have a nice festive day out.

At Winter Wonderland it is free to get in and have a look around.

There are lots of stalls, food places, craft, hot chocolate, snacks, beer and rides to go on (at extra cost)

But, if you want to, before you go you can book onto some of their other experiences that they have on offer, such as Ice skating, a big wheel, ice bar with ice sculptures and shows such as the circus.

When I have been with friends previously we have booked onto the ice bar, some of the shows and the big wheel.

This time, as we have kiddies with us too, we thought it would be nice to just have a look around, instead of booking the big things.

It’s a lovely festive day out so it’s nice that you dont necessarily have to pay extra for all the other things, but you can if you want to.

I’m not sure whether you can book on the day, it might just depend on availability.

Let’s take a look….

Such a fun, festive day out!

10 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!!!

Blogmas 2019 Day Fourteen: Festive FriendsFest â˜‚️

Festive Friendsfest

Today was such a fun day out with some of my work friends. We booked it a while ago but it seems to have come round so quickly!!

We went to Friendfest, the festive version in London, near Brick Lane.

I absolutely LOVE Friends and have previously been to the original Friends Fest with my sisters in Milton Keynes, in the summer.

Check that out here

I didn’t know what to expect from the festive version, maybe just a few Christmas decorations, but it didn’t disappoint.

The enchnacements and extras from the original one were really cool so it really didn’t matter that 3 of the 4 of us had been to the original Friends fest.

Let’s take a look…

Rachel & Monica’s Apartment

Chandler & Joey’s apartment

Central Perk

Recreating Festive scenes

‘I’m the Holiday Armadillo!!’

Food

We didn’t eat at Friendsfest last time so it was good to try some bits.

They had a very festive chocolate orange hot chocolate on offer, it was amazing. It had whipped cream and mini choc orange segments on top!! So good.

We got Joey’s pizza for lunch which was super delicious (& I had the Joey special!!!) Because it was too good to just get one piece.

It was so much fun!

The festive extras were brilliant and it really got us all into the festive spirit.

Feelin’ super christmassy now.

11 days until Christmas 🎄

Ho Ho Ho

Roseanne 🎅🏻

🔟 years!🎉

So, last weekend me and my Uni friends met up, but this time it wasn’t any old meet up, it was our 10 year friendaversary meet up!

Let’s take it back to the start

In 2009 I did my first year of university at the University of East London (UEL).

Whilst studying for my degree in Early Chiodhood studies (ECS) at the Stratford Campus I was introduced, at the beginning of a morning lecture, to Kirsty & Tarana and as they say, the rest is history!

And we’ve been friends ever since!

I only studied at UEL for a year before returning to my hometown to complete my studies, but we always stayed in contact and have met up at least every few of months, in London.

So, that’s the background, let’s see how we celebrate 10 years of friendship.

As I said, I went down to London last weekend to meet the girls and we had a fun day planned.

Meeting at Stratford, we headed to Leciester Square for lunch.

We always had a tradition of getting the pizza hut buffet after some of our lectures during the Uni year and so we thought this was the perfect tradition to start the day with.

It was really good!!

I havn’t had the buffet in ages 🍕

Once we had eaten and had a catch up we headed to the main event, Matilda The Musical!!!

We wanted to do something we had done together before, as it’s a special occasion, and we all love musicals so we chose this one as it’s a brilliant story (A children’s one, very apt for ECS graduates) and none of us have seen it before either.

The musical is AMAZING!! The actors were fantastic, really talented and very funny. How those children get up on that stage and perform like that is beyond me but it is aweosme to watch.

The music ans songs by Tim Minchin are brilliant too. You’ll be singing them for days, trust me!

If you are a fan of the book or the classic film (as I am) then I would 100% recommend this to you!! It won’t disappoint.

It was getting late once we had made it out of the theatre so we said our goodbyes and headed home.

It was a really fun day out and a great way to celebrate two of the loveliest people I know.

Even though I only went to UEL for a year I will always be glad that I did. It was a great experience in halls and I met some lovely people, including these two, so I will always be grateful for that.

I hope you are enjoying the last few weeks of the Summer holidays!

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂

My May half term diary â˜€ď¸

I love doing a diary for each school holiday, it’s a great way of remembering what Ive got up to, a 21st century diary 👍🏻

Friday 24th May 2019

Me & Tim got some good use out of our Unlimited Cinema cards tonight by watching two films!

We watched ‘Detective Pikachu’ followed by ‘Rocketman’.

Both were really good. We had already seen Detective Pikachu and we just wanted to see it again, great for any Pokemon fans ✌🏻

Rocketman was also really good but not my fave of the recent biopic films.

Saturday 25th May 2019

Today I met up with my friend and her boys at the park. I took Noah & Casey with my to play with her boys.

They loved the bus ride.

We had a great time at the park, enjoying the sunshine and playing with all of the boys 💙

Me & Tim took the boys to see ‘Secret Life of Pets 2’. This was Casey’s pick as he loves cats 🐈 & he really enjoyed himself.

In the eve, once I’d dropped the boys off, me and my friends met up again and had a Chinese together at a local buffet restaurant. So good.

& a great opportunity for a catch up!

Sunday 26th May 2019

A busy weekend rounded off with a family day trip to Cambridge for some retail therapy.

Me & Tim drove down with my twin sister Sarah, Noah & Casey, whilst my older sister Charlotte drive down with her husband & Evie.

It was a lovely day and we enjoyed shopping (First stop, Primark of course!) Followed by some yummy lunch from our favourite Italian which we introduced to everyone, Aromi 👌🏻 Their veggie pesto lasagne is the one.

The kids loved the play area too.

Monday 27th May 2019

Cult Cafe for Tea, Cake & Games.

This has become our bank holiday Monday tradition and it’s great.

We usually chill on the bank holiday ans as the weekend was busy this is what we did. In the afternoon we decided to get out for a bit, Cabin fever was setting in!

This was really lovely ♡

Wednesday 29th May 2019

Today, with work, we visited a local farm.

It was a lovely day, really chilled It was fun being outside and visiting a farm I hadn’t been to before either.

Friday 31st May 2019

We went to my other friends in the evening for dinner which was great too.

Sunday 2nd June 2019

To round off the half term we decided to again take advantage of the lovely warm weather by taking a trip to Felixstowe.

‘Oh, I do like to he beside the seaside… 🏖’

We enjoyed a lovely meal of fish & chips, Mr Whippy & doughnuts on the beach. We had a lovely stroll along the prom before heading into the pier for some amusements. The perfect afternoon.

I even had a little paddle 🌊☀️ The weather was great.

I hope you enjoyed or are enjoying your half term!

Half term diaries pt 1

Hi guys!

I thought I would document my half term, here on my blog. After all, I started this blog to capture memories, and so I thought that since I have a few things planned this week, this would be a nice way to document them.

Friday 15th February 2019

Half term is here!!

And what better way to roll in the half term than a delicious meal with a friend.

Me & my friend Steph met up for a long over due catch up at Wagamamas.

I tried a few things that I hadn’t had before and it was super delicious.

Then we rounded the evening off with a trip to Creams, a nearby dessert restaurant.

They do amazing crepes 😍

Saturday 16th February 2019

Me & my hubby Tim spent the day relaxing at a local spa ‘Aqua Springs’. This was our Valentine’s treat and a great opportunity to relax and spend some time together.

We rounded off the day with a couple of games of Cluedo with my mum and dad.

I’ve been wanting to play for ages but it’s not so good with just 2 players so we’ve had to wait.

I love their original Cluedo board!!

Unfortunately, I was the only one who didn’t win a game 👎🏻

Sunday 17th February 2019

Today, me & Tim visited my uni friend Kirsty and her little ones in London.

It was lovely to have a much needed catch up and Tim got to meet the newest edition to the gang, little Bella.

We had a great time chatting, playing some silly games and eating pizza.

Monday 18th February 2019

Today me and my friends Steph met up again, but this time in the day time so that I could see her boys too.

We had a lovely time at the soft play centre, a bit of lunch and then back to hers for a cuppa and a chat.

In the evening we went round to my mother in laws to see her and give her, her birthday present.

Another nice cuppa and a catch up to round off the day.

Tuesday 19th February 2019

Today me and my older sister Charlotte, and my niece Evie, went for Afternoon tea.

We successfully resisted any treats in the staff Room for the whole of the half term, and this was our reward.

We havn’t been here for Afternoon tea before but it didn’t disappoint!

There were four different finger sandwiches each (Chicken, Tuna, Cheese & Ham)

And a lovely warm sausage roll 😍

There was also a scone with cream and jam and a assortment of cakes, very nice!

Once we had finished we got the bus back into town, visited Elmer and then went back to Charlottes for a play.

My favourite girly 💜

What have you been up to this half term?

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂

Blogmas Day Four: A festive day out đŸŽ„đŸš‚

Last weekend me, my husband Tim, twin sister Sarah and her husband Dan and kiddies, Noah & Casey went away for a winter weekend away.

We stayed at Rose Farm in Great Yarmouth, in a lovely little static caravan.

It was lovely and reminded me of our family holidays from years gone by.

One of our activities on the Saturday was a little railway journey and it felt really festive.

There was a little winter chill in the air, just enough to need to wrap up all cosy, which added to the festive feels.

We went on the Bure Railway from Wroxham to Aylesham and it was just lovely. The boys really enjoyed themselves.

To add a little extra festive cheer, there were loads of Christmas decorations.

And when we got to Aylsham there was a Santa’s grotto as well as even more lights.

So festive! 🎄🎁🎅⛄

It was a lovely weekend and it made us all feel really ready to start having lots of festive fun days. Bring on the next Christmas activity.

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂

21 days to go!

Bank holiday Byfords

As the Easter holidays draw to a close I thought I would share with you guys one of the cool places I visited during my time off.

It was my father in laws birthday on Good Friday and he had planned a day trip for us to do with him, and it was a really good day out.

We traveled to a place in Norfolk called Holt where a cafe (whose name was very apt for the tripees) resides…. ‘Byfords’. Byfords is (in it’s own words) a posh B’n’B, It has rooms to stay in, a restaurant, a shop/bakery that sells yummy locally produced goodies & a little bit of merch (no ‘Byfords’ travel mug though, gutted.)

Being Byford’s we thought this would be a really cool place to visit and it didn’t disappoint. The exterior and interior were really quaint and quirky and the food was delicious.

Me and Tim both had the breakfast pizza and, if like us, you are both a fan of breakfast food and pizzas then this is something you need to try!! SO GOOD.

After a small walk around Holt we made our way to the North Norfolk railway for a journey on a steam train. Now I’m not a train enthusiast but even I thought that this was really cool. The station was like something out of Heartbeat (throwback!) And the steam train itself had serious Hogwarts express vibes with its old fashioned wooden interior and compartments.

After a stroll on the beach and a slice of cake and a cuppa to refuel we got back on the train and headed to out final destination.

We ended our trip by taking a boat trip out to see the seals. They looked really chilled and are hilarious when they waddle around. Despite the wet weather this was a lovely end the day.

We had a lovely family day out & I was knackered by the end of it. Such fun!

I hope you all enjoyed the bank holiday weekend & Easter holidays 🐣🐰

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂
