My May half term diary â˜€ď¸

I love doing a diary for each school holiday, it’s a great way of remembering what Ive got up to, a 21st century diary 👍🏻

Friday 24th May 2019

Me & Tim got some good use out of our Unlimited Cinema cards tonight by watching two films!

We watched ‘Detective Pikachu’ followed by ‘Rocketman’.

Both were really good. We had already seen Detective Pikachu and we just wanted to see it again, great for any Pokemon fans ✌🏻

Rocketman was also really good but not my fave of the recent biopic films.

Saturday 25th May 2019

Today I met up with my friend and her boys at the park. I took Noah & Casey with my to play with her boys.

They loved the bus ride.

We had a great time at the park, enjoying the sunshine and playing with all of the boys 💙

Me & Tim took the boys to see ‘Secret Life of Pets 2’. This was Casey’s pick as he loves cats 🐈 & he really enjoyed himself.

In the eve, once I’d dropped the boys off, me and my friends met up again and had a Chinese together at a local buffet restaurant. So good.

& a great opportunity for a catch up!

Sunday 26th May 2019

A busy weekend rounded off with a family day trip to Cambridge for some retail therapy.

Me & Tim drove down with my twin sister Sarah, Noah & Casey, whilst my older sister Charlotte drive down with her husband & Evie.

It was a lovely day and we enjoyed shopping (First stop, Primark of course!) Followed by some yummy lunch from our favourite Italian which we introduced to everyone, Aromi 👌🏻 Their veggie pesto lasagne is the one.

The kids loved the play area too.

Monday 27th May 2019

Cult Cafe for Tea, Cake & Games.

This has become our bank holiday Monday tradition and it’s great.

We usually chill on the bank holiday ans as the weekend was busy this is what we did. In the afternoon we decided to get out for a bit, Cabin fever was setting in!

This was really lovely ♡

Wednesday 29th May 2019

Today, with work, we visited a local farm.

It was a lovely day, really chilled It was fun being outside and visiting a farm I hadn’t been to before either.

Friday 31st May 2019

Today we met my friends little boy, Finley ♡

We hadn’t met him before and it was lovely to have cuddles he is adorable.

& it was a great excuse to get the girls together and have a bit of tea & cake.

Our friend was home for the weekend too which was great timing.

We went to my other friends in the evening for dinner which was great too.

Sunday 2nd June 2019

To round off the half term we decided to again take advantage of the lovely warm weather by taking a trip to Felixstowe.

‘Oh, I do like to he beside the seaside… 🏖’

We enjoyed a lovely meal of fish & chips, Mr Whippy & doughnuts on the beach. We had a lovely stroll along the prom before heading into the pier for some amusements. The perfect afternoon.

I even had a little paddle 🌊☀️ The weather was great.

I hope you enjoyed or are enjoying your half term!

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂

Bank holiday Byfords

As the Easter holidays draw to a close I thought I would share with you guys one of the cool places I visited during my time off.

It was my father in laws birthday on Good Friday and he had planned a day trip for us to do with him, and it was a really good day out.

We traveled to a place in Norfolk called Holt where a cafe (whose name was very apt for the tripees) resides…. ‘Byfords’. Byfords is (in it’s own words) a posh B’n’B, It has rooms to stay in, a restaurant, a shop/bakery that sells yummy locally produced goodies & a little bit of merch (no ‘Byfords’ travel mug though, gutted.)

Being Byford’s we thought this would be a really cool place to visit and it didn’t disappoint. The exterior and interior were really quaint and quirky and the food was delicious.

Me and Tim both had the breakfast pizza and, if like us, you are both a fan of breakfast food and pizzas then this is something you need to try!! SO GOOD.

After a small walk around Holt we made our way to the North Norfolk railway for a journey on a steam train. Now I’m not a train enthusiast but even I thought that this was really cool. The station was like something out of Heartbeat (throwback!) And the steam train itself had serious Hogwarts express vibes with its old fashioned wooden interior and compartments.

After a stroll on the beach and a slice of cake and a cuppa to refuel we got back on the train and headed to out final destination.

We ended our trip by taking a boat trip out to see the seals. They looked really chilled and are hilarious when they waddle around. Despite the wet weather this was a lovely end the day.

We had a lovely family day out & I was knackered by the end of it. Such fun!

I hope you all enjoyed the bank holiday weekend & Easter holidays 🐣🐰

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂

EASTER! 🌼🐣🐥

I havn’t done a blog post about something I’ve done in ages! I love reading those sort of posts myself (So I hope you guys do too!) Plus they are nice to look back on and reminisce.

My hubby had Friday off of course which was a nice treat so we decided to make the most of the day and do as much as we could together and it was soooo nice.

Good Friday

So we started off the day with a super yummy cooked brekky, a lovely Friday treat as usually we would both be at work and wouldn’t have time for such an indulgent breakfast.

After that we didn’t have long before the film we had decided to see at the cinema was starting (Beauty & the Beast!!!🥀) As we live close to our local cinema and the sun was shining we decided to walk.
Of course the film was amazing (I’d already seen it once!) But Tim also enjoyed it too.

We were getting a bit peckish again by the time the film had finished so we had a cheeky Nandos, because why not! It’s a bank HOLIDAY after all, treat yo self!

& the fun didn’t stop there, oh no. Next stop was back home for a spot of Harry Potter Monopoly (Yes you heard right!)
My very clever and lovely husband designed and made this for me for my birthday a few years ago as offical Harry Potter Monopoly doesnt exist. It’s amazing.

In the evening we decided to grab a drive thru Starbucks from the new one in our hometown and head to our local bowling alley. The Starbucks was beaut. 👌☕

We had three games of bowling (Tim won best of three) and then we headed home.

A very GOOD Friday! (Sorry, not sorry!)

Easter Weekend

Saturday

We completed our usual 5k Parkrun first thing Saturday morning, insert horrendous picture here ⬇

Once we had done that we went our separate ways to freshen up and get ready to go to Lowestoft. Tim’s mum & Dad have a holiday flat there so we are staying for the Easter weekend.

We arrived around 2 o clock and settled in before heading to the shops to grab some dinner supplies.

We then headed to the beach for a play & the arcades too!!!!! Seriously coooool.

Later on Me & Noah got creative and made some yummy chocolate Eatser treats…

& we cooked and ate dinner, watched BGT and played games in the evening 🎲

Easter Sunday

First things first, EASTER EGGS!!

We discovered the little cafe over the road from the flat is open on Easter Sunday so we headed over for breakfast…

…unfortunately everyone else had the same idea!! Looks like they are the only place open for business on Easter Sunday, in Lowestoft.

Whilst we waited for our food we took a walk!
Oh I do like to stroll along the prom prom prom 🐚🌞

Once we were suitably full and wind swept we headed back for more Easter frivolity ie an Egg hunt & an Egg and spoon race.

For the rest of the afternoon we chilled out before heading back home.

Our family has an Easter tradition of a Chinese takeaway in the evening on Easter Sunday (Yeah it’s random I know) Don’t hate us cause you ain’t us!

Jealous, right?! I love a family tradition.

What do you guys do for Easter?

Happy Easter! 🐥🐣🐰

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂

Sunday by the sea đŸŒžđŸŒŠ

Today me, Tim, Sarah & Noah joined our friends at Felixstowe for an afternoon in the sun.

We havnt had a very good summer so far but this weekend has been hot, hot, hot!🌝
We started off by heading to the seafront and a chip shop for some lunch (I had already grabbed some healthy alternatives from M&S to keep me on plan!)

After that  me and Sarah took Noah inside to cool down! ice creams were purchased 🍦

We had lots of fun at the beach 🐚

I love the seaside and we British do them so well! Its always nice and feels familiar when we re-visit Felixstowe as I spent a lot of my childhood there with my Nana.

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂
