My new camera πŸ“·

Hi guys! It’s been a little while, May seems to be slipping by rapidly!! Me & my twin sister celebrated our birthday on Friday so I thought I would share with you my main present from my lovely hubby.

It will come in super handy for my blog so I thought why not share!

So I’ve wanted a new camera for a little while and especially since me and my sister started YouTube. I don’t know a lot about cameras so I sought the advice of my bro in law who does and this is one he suggested…

It’s the Nikon Coolpix B500 bridge camera in black.

Whats a bridge camera I hear you say?

‘A bridge Camera is a general name for digital cameras that have some degree of manual control, a long range zoom lens and a viewfinder – but usually not interchangeable lenses. They are somewhere between a point and shoot camera, and a full DSLR.’ – O.Tadmor

I’m just getting to grips with it at the moment, It’s relatively easy to use once you have a fiddle about and I am loving some of the different effects you can take photos in. The quality for videos is great too!
Here are a few photos I took yesterday whilst in London. I hope you like them πŸ™‚

I hope you enjoyed this post and I’ll see you again soon for a Primark haul!

Until next time,

Joining the gym πŸ‘Š

So, I’ve done it, I’ve joined the gym! It is pretty much opposite our flat, it takes less than 2 minutes to walk there so there’s no excuse really is there? (Keep telling yourself that Roseanne!) For just using that gym it’s only Β£19.99 which I didn’t think was too bad either considering this is usually my bug bear about gyms (they are seriously expensive right!?!) That and the fact I spend most of my time trying to work out how to turn the machine on to a suitable level & where I can plug my headphones in (gym essential no 1!)

So in  preparation for sed joining of the gym I decided to kit myself out. Well I may as well look the part!! Because let’s be honest I havnt got a clue what I’m doing once I’m in there.
So let’s take a look at my costume ( I mean gym gear πŸ˜†)

Disclaimer: I’m not sponsored by Primark but 1. I BLOODY love it. You’ll know that if you’ve been round here before or met me in real life And 2. I’m going to sweat all over it, why spend a fortune?!

First up, tops!

I picked two different tops, both made of that similar gym clothing material (which according to the label is ….. Polyester & elastene, theres a fun fact for ya! Stretchy stretchy!)

I chose a pink top and a light grey one as I thought these were nice and would go nicely with the leggings I also picked up. These were Β£5 each.

Leggings!

I went for 3/4 length ones as I prefer these and I picked them up in light grey, love these.

They were Β£5.

I picked up another sports bra/crop top thing. I already have one from Primark from a little while ago, that I use for Parkrun, that looks like this ⬇

The new one I picked up is just a plain black one.

This was Β£3.50.

I also grabbed some socks! Does anyone else have somewhere in their house where their socks must go for a holiday because I buy so many and yet never have any to wear!!

I picked these up especially for the gym so I will put these in a super safe place! (Like that’s going to make a difference Roseanne.) Worth a try.

They cost Β£2.50.

And finally, a lovely new water bottle (I have a serious water bottle/travel mug/lunchbox obsession. Is this what happens when you become an adult in a full time job?) It’s seriously getting out of hand BUT this ones lovely and hardly breaks the bank at Β£2.50 So let the obsession continue.

So, those are my gym bits and bob’s.

On a serious note, I need to change my mindset really because I can’t just think I can eat crap and get away with it because I’ve done a class or been for a run, I need to make exercise a part of a more balanced lifestyle. Wish me luck 🀞

Until next time,

Roseanne πŸ™‚

Afternoon tea Β πŸ°β˜•

I love Afternoon tea & I know loads of you guys do too so I thought that I would share my most recent Afternoon tea experience with you.

We went to a place called Suffolk food hall that has a cafe, farm shop, garden centre & restaurant on site (amongst other things!) There’s lots going on there but it’s a lovely place.

The decoration in the restaurant is lovely, it’s nice & bright. I love the white wood painted ceilings, Sandy brick walls & restored beams.

The view outside the large windows is so lovely too! You look out onto the River Orwell & the cow fields too.

Here’s what we had for Afternoon tea…

Bottom tier:

  • Mini brown roll with Ham & mustard
  • Mini granary/seeded roll with smoked salmon & cream cheese
  • Mini white roll with cheese & pickle
  • Mini cheese & leek tartlet
  • Sausage roll

Middle tier:

  • Large Fruit scone with clotted cream & raspberry jam
  • Carrot cake slice with cream cheese frosting.

Top tier:

  • Mini chocolate & caramel shortbread
  • White chocolate chip cookie
  • Mini shortbread

& of course lots of English breakfast tea.

My mum doesn’t like chocolate so she was given a shortbread, however, she does eat white chocolate so I gave her my white choc chip cookie and I had her plain shortbread as I LOVE shortbread.

Me & mum both work at the same After school club and we arranged this afternoon tea for our friend (who also used to work at the after school club) as it was her 30th Birthday this year! We had a lovely time 🎈

I really enjoyed this afternoon tea as it was a bit different to the last one I had (check them out here: Patisserie Valerie ) as the cakes/biscuits were different & really tasty! I especially enjoyed the chocolate & caramel shortbread, it was literally melt in the mouth πŸ‘Œ

The only thing I feel could have been improved was having a variety of breads for the savoury section instead of all rolls & a little bit more filling in these.

Cost: Β£14.50 each & bookable in advance.
I hope you’ve found this useful 😁

Until next time,

EASTER! 🌼🐣πŸ₯

I havn’t done a blog post about something I’ve done in ages! I love reading those sort of posts myself (So I hope you guys do too!) Plus they are nice to look back on and reminisce.

My hubby had Friday off of course which was a nice treat so we decided to make the most of the day and do as much as we could together and it was soooo nice.

Good Friday

So we started off the day with a super yummy cooked brekky, a lovely Friday treat as usually we would both be at work and wouldn’t have time for such an indulgent breakfast.

After that we didn’t have long before the film we had decided to see at the cinema was starting (Beauty & the Beast!!!πŸ₯€) As we live close to our local cinema and the sun was shining we decided to walk.
Of course the film was amazing (I’d already seen it once!) But Tim also enjoyed it too.

We were getting a bit peckish again by the time the film had finished so we had a cheeky Nandos, because why not! It’s a bank HOLIDAY after all, treat yo self!

& the fun didn’t stop there, oh no. Next stop was back home for a spot of Harry Potter Monopoly (Yes you heard right!)
My very clever and lovely husband designed and made this for me for my birthday a few years ago as offical Harry Potter Monopoly doesnt exist. It’s amazing.

In the evening we decided to grab a drive thru Starbucks from the new one in our hometown and head to our local bowling alley. The Starbucks was beaut. πŸ‘Œβ˜•

We had three games of bowling (Tim won best of three) and then we headed home.

A very GOOD Friday! (Sorry, not sorry!)

Easter Weekend

Saturday

We completed our usual 5k Parkrun first thing Saturday morning, insert horrendous picture here ⬇

Once we had done that we went our separate ways to freshen up and get ready to go to Lowestoft. Tim’s mum & Dad have a holiday flat there so we are staying for the Easter weekend.

We arrived around 2 o clock and settled in before heading to the shops to grab some dinner supplies.

We then headed to the beach for a play & the arcades too!!!!! Seriously coooool.

Later on Me & Noah got creative and made some yummy chocolate Eatser treats…

& we cooked and ate dinner, watched BGT and played games in the evening 🎲

Easter Sunday

First things first, EASTER EGGS!!

We discovered the little cafe over the road from the flat is open on Easter Sunday so we headed over for breakfast…

…unfortunately everyone else had the same idea!! Looks like they are the only place open for business on Easter Sunday, in Lowestoft.

Whilst we waited for our food we took a walk!
Oh I do like to stroll along the prom prom prom 🐚🌞

Once we were suitably full and wind swept we headed back for more Easter frivolity ie an Egg hunt & an Egg and spoon race.

For the rest of the afternoon we chilled out before heading back home.

Our family has an Easter tradition of a Chinese takeaway in the evening on Easter Sunday (Yeah it’s random I know) Don’t hate us cause you ain’t us!

Jealous, right?! I love a family tradition.

What do you guys do for Easter?

Happy Easter! πŸ₯🐣🐰

Until next time,

My favourite Slimming World snacks!Β

As you may know from previous posts (or not? hello if you’re new πŸ‘‹) I follow the Slimming World (SW) plan. We shop at Aldi and they do amazing snacks & treats that are great on SW so I thought I would share with you my favourites!

So here they are…

Let’s start with savoury as I have less of them:

  • Cup Shotz. This is Aldi’s version of  a mugshot and its 100% free! The chicken and sweet & sour flavours are free, not all are.

  • Aldi’s crisps are amazing! The cheese curls are 3 syns and the melts are 4 syns. They make such great snacks & are excellent value for money too.

Next up, Sweet treats:

  • Brooklea light yoghurts. These are sooo tasty and free. I only discovered these on our shop today and they are fab. I picked them up in vanilla and toffee flavour. (These are free a couple of the flavours are 0.5 syn)

  • Crispy oats & honey granola bites. These are fab with a tea or coffee, crispy, oaty and delicious.

  • Sweet and salty popcorn. This is so yummy and great as a snack or for the cinema. I love the combo of sweet and salty and this big bag is 6 syns. These are also available in multipacks and those bags are only 2.5 syns each!!

  • These groovy bars are a delicious chocolatey biscuit fix to satisfy those sweet cravings. These are 6 syns each.

So those are a few of my favourites! I hope you’ve found it useful and discovered some yummy treats that you can pick up from a local supermarket.

I thought I would quickly mention some Easter favs and their syn values, there are a few that you can enjoy on plan and to me this is amazing, diet? What diet?

  • Cadbury creme eggs, 9 syns each.
  • Cadbury mini eggs, 1 syn each.
  • Malteaser mini bunnies, 3 syns each.

Enjoy πŸ‘Œ & don’t forget to treat yourself!!

Until next time,

OOTD: More dungarees & a stripy tee!

Now I know I’ve already done an ‘outfit of the day’ with dungarees & a stripy tee a month or so ago but come on, this combo never gets old!

I love how comfy (but on trend) dungarees are and I’ve always had a soft spot for a stripy tee, my stripes collection is becoming quite vast.

Although we’ve had a few quite warm days there is still that Spring freshness in the air so these are a great wardrobe staple for this season.

I’ll leave as much information about each piece as I can, enjoy πŸ™‚

  • Dungarees, Boohoo Β£12
  • Stripy tee, Primark Β£1
  • Blush pink trainers, Primark Β£10
  • Pink choker, Boohoo Β£3.99

I am loving these blush pink trainers, its one of my favourite colours and these suede effect trainers are so comfy and cute. They look cool with the dungarees turned up a bit too.

& you can’t got wrong with a bargain Β£1 stripy tee!

I hope you liked this post! See you soon x

Starting up a Youtube channel!Β

So, Me & my twin sister decided to take the plunge and start our own Youtube channel and we have called it ‘Roseanne & Sarah’. We both love watching Youtubers online and have our own blogs…

 *Find those here πŸ‘‡

Mine: Roseannegreen.wordpress.com

Sarah’s: sarahscornerblog.wordpress.com

We thought that a Youtube channel would complement our blogs and be a lot of fun to film too. We will cover similar topics on the channel that we do in our blogs such as beauty, make up, fashion, lifestyle, family & Slimming world updates/tips/ideas.

We would love your support with this so head on over and take a look 😊

OOTD: It’s all about dungarees πŸ‘–

As you’ll know, if  you’ve seen my recent post about my Spring clothes haul (you can check that out here) I recently bought a pair of dunagrees, these are really ‘in’ at the moment and I love mine from Boohoo, cool and comfy. Seen as they are new I thought it would be rude not to make them the focus of an outfit of the day. I’ll include as much info as I can about the clothes included πŸ™‚

Let’s take a look at the outfit πŸ™†

  • Skinny dungarees, Boohoo Β£12
  • Long sleeved striped top, H&M Β£12.99
  • Black longline bomber jacket, Boohoo Β£10
  • Choker set of 3, H&M Β£5.99
  • Floral pin badge Set of six, Primark Β£3
  • Black high top Converse Allstars, Office Β£42

This outfit is so comfy but really stylish too and I love the little details like the choker with the gold detailing and the embroidered floral badges! Got to love a bit of customization and making an outfit more you.

Let me know what you think πŸ‘

This warm weather is awesome. The sun is beating down as I write this, love it! What clothing items are you enjoying this Spring?

Until next time,
