An update… πŸ’ͺ🏻

Now, if I’m being honest, I havn’t done an update on my Slimming World (SW) & fitness journey recently because in all honesty I havn’t achieved alot since we got back from Florida.

If we are being positive, if I hadn’t carried on going to class after I stepped onto those scales and saw my big holiday gain, then I would probably be in a much worse situation right now.

As it is, I have stayed rather stationary.

I have only really put on between 1-2 lbs since the holiday, which for 7 months is a pretty good consistency record… however, I am not at the weight I want to be, not by any stretch of the imagination.

Theres still plenty of work to do. I do rather feel like I am in a rut and even weeks when I have been really good I don’t seem to be achieving the loses that I once enjoyed.

So, what am I going to do about it?

β€’ Drink more water

,β€’Go back to alternate low/normal carb weeks (1 week, eat carbs, next week, try to limit them to 1 meal a day.)

β€’Return to the gym (I’ve been twice this week… a new record for 2019 πŸ™ˆ.

β€’Snack on free foods, put less crap food into my body unnecessarily. Don’t get me wrong, I will always love food, chocolate & treats, (always).

β€’Keep writing down what I am eating.

β€’Don’t use up my syns just for the sake of it.

What are your fitness /weightloss goals?

Any Tips & tricks ??

Zoella & Colour Pop collab Make up range πŸ’„

I’ve really enjoyed Zoe Suggs, ‘Zoella beauty’ ranges for a while now and I got into watching YouTube when I started watching some of her earlier sit down videos, many of which were make up tutorials, so when I saw that she was finally doing a make up collaboration I couldn’t wait to try out some of the pieces.

I love the cute packaging and brunch theme to the whole collection.

Breakfast food is the best food after all!

I chose some of the pieces that I knew I would get a lot of use out of as I haven’t tried any Colour Pop products before so I don’t know what they are like.

I went for the Blusher, Highlighter & one of the liquid eye shadows.

Pressed powder blush ‘Soulmate’

A lovely pink blush.

Pressed powder highlighter ‘Swipe right’

A lovely creamy, gold highlight.

Creme supernova liquid eyeshadow ‘Bellini’

A lovely pinky champagne tone.

They look so pretty on and I have already been using (& loving!) them loads.

I can’t wait for an occasion to wear the eye shadow as it is so pretty. I’m not an every day eyeshadow kind of girl so I’ll be saving this for an occasion.

The highlighter and blusher, on the other hand will, be used daily and are a great addition to an every day make up bag (great staying power, they look good all day)

I also found the prices to be really reasonable too which is great πŸ‘πŸ»

Blusher & Highlighter ($8/Β£6) each

Eyeshadow ($7/Β£5.30) each

Have you tried any of the collection?

Thoughts?!?

My reading challenge: March πŸ“š

How is it already March??!!

Month two of my reading challenge is complete and I managed to read two books as Feb is a short month.

I read: Eve of Man by Giovanna & Tom Fletcher

And

Dark House: The DCI Harwin series (Book One) by Helen Phifer.

Month Three of my reading challenge is here …

The books I will be reading for March are:

The Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena.

How well do you know the couple next door? Or your husband? Or even–yourself? People are capable of almost anything. A domestic suspense debut about a young couple and their apparently friendly neighbors–a twisty, rollercoaster ride of lies, betrayal, and the secrets between husbands and wives. Anne and Marco Conti seem to have it all–a loving relationship, a wonderful home, and their beautiful baby, Cora. But one night when they are at a dinner party next door, a terrible crime is committed. Suspicion immediately focuses on the parents. But the truth is a much more complicated story. Inside the curtained house, an unsettling account of what actually happened unfolds. Detective Rasbach knows that the panicked couple is hiding something. Both Anne and Marco soon discover that the other is keeping secrets, secrets they’ve kept for years.

Dying breath; Lucy Harwin detective series (Book 2) by Helen Phifer.

Take a breath. Pray it’s not your last.
Just a few months after a terrifying case that nearly took her life, Detective Lucy Harwin is back with her squad in the coastal town of Brooklyn Bay – and this time, she’s faced with a case more horrifying than anything she’s encountered.
Along with her partner, Detective Mattie Jackson, Lucy is investigating what appears to be a vicious but isolated murder; a woman found bludgeoned to death on a lonely patch of wasteland.
But when a second victim is discovered strangled in an alleyway, then a young family shot in their own home, Lucy and the team must face the unthinkable reality – a killer is walking the streets of their town.
While Lucy and the team try to find the link between these seemingly unconnected murders, they uncover a disturbing truth – these murders are replicating those carried out by infamous serial killers.
Lucy must get to the killer before he strikes again. But he’s got his sights on her, and is getting ever closer… Can she save herself, before she becomes the final piece in his twisted game?

I DID IT πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ«πŸ«βŒβŒ

The day is here!

March 1st, Dechox is over & I did it πŸ‘ŠπŸ»

Hurrah!

It’s been harder this week knowing that I was so close to being able to eat it again, but, all in all it hasn’t been as horrendous as possible.

It has made me realise how much I would choose a chocolate option be it in biscuit form or a dessert.

& you often don’t even think about it before you grab it. Lots of times I have had to go and put it back on the shelf because I’ve realised what I’ve got in my hand 🀣

In total I managed to raise Β£60 for The British Heart Foundation.

I have really been enjoying my chocolate today.

This was my reward, leftover from Christmas.

Thankyou to everybody who donated to my Just Giving page!! It’s much appreciated.

And if you’d like to now that I’ve actually done it then I’ll leave the link below.

Half term diaries part 2

Part two of February Half term!

Here’s what I’ve been up to.

Wednesday 20th February/Thursday 21st February 2019

During both of these days I was at work allday 7.30-6.

Working with kids is good fun though and we did lots of fun activities.

I really enjoy planning fun activities to do during the holidays.

Friday 23rd February 2019

In the morning I met up with my twin sister and my nephews for some bowling fun.

Both of the boys really enjoyed themselves as Noah only had a go at bowling when he was very little and Casey has never been before.

The boys had a great time and they were really good at bowling, it’s safe to say Auntie Ro Ro lost 🎳

Afterwards we had some lunch and some treats (of course!) DOUGHNUTS!!

In the afternoon we headed to Norwich to stay with my Auntie and cousin for a long weekend.

We popped into the Norwich Primark en-route, in order to see if they had the onesie of my dreams…

…they didn’t disappoint!! & it was the only one left πŸ™ŒπŸ»

Once at my Aunties, we settled down for a delicious Mexican taco feast.

Saturday 23rd February 2019

Today me & Tim started off the day with a Parkrun in a nearby village.

Once we got back we spent the rest of the morning/afternoon chilling out, having lunch and playing games.

The Pointless Mini game was a particular fave.

In the late afternoon we went and saw my cousin, his wife and kiddies for a catchup up and a cuppa, which was nice!

We rounded off the evening with a delicous meal out together at Zizzi’s.

We played a few more games when we got back too. Love a board game!

Sunday 24th February 2019

Today we went out l to enjoy the lovely sunshiny weather, you’ve got to make the most of it when you get it here in the UK!!

We stopped off for a yummy snacky lunch at a lovely pub in Ranworth.

We shared some stuffed peppers, Cheesey chips, homemade houmous, falafel & flatbread and some onion rings, yummy!

After that we went for a little walk along the river. It was so pretty and just lovely in the early Spring sunshine.

A great weekend rounded off with a scrummy roast beef dinner and baked Apple dessert, when we got home.

It’s been a great half term!!

Until next time,

Half term diaries pt 1

Hi guys!

I thought I would document my half term, here on my blog. After all, I started this blog to capture memories, and so I thought that since I have a few things planned this week, this would be a nice way to document them.

Friday 15th February 2019

Half term is here!!

And what better way to roll in the half term than a delicious meal with a friend.

Me & my friend Steph met up for a long over due catch up at Wagamamas.

I tried a few things that I hadn’t had before and it was super delicious.

Then we rounded the evening off with a trip to Creams, a nearby dessert restaurant.

They do amazing crepes 😍

Saturday 16th February 2019

Me & my hubby Tim spent the day relaxing at a local spa ‘Aqua Springs’. This was our Valentine’s treat and a great opportunity to relax and spend some time together.

We rounded off the day with a couple of games of Cluedo with my mum and dad.

I’ve been wanting to play for ages but it’s not so good with just 2 players so we’ve had to wait.

I love their original Cluedo board!!

Unfortunately, I was the only one who didn’t win a game πŸ‘ŽπŸ»

Sunday 17th February 2019

Today, me & Tim visited my uni friend Kirsty and her little ones in London.

It was lovely to have a much needed catch up and Tim got to meet the newest edition to the gang, little Bella.

We had a great time chatting, playing some silly games and eating pizza.

Monday 18th February 2019

Today me and my friends Steph met up again, but this time in the day time so that I could see her boys too.

We had a lovely time at the soft play centre, a bit of lunch and then back to hers for a cuppa and a chat.

In the evening we went round to my mother in laws to see her and give her, her birthday present.

Another nice cuppa and a catch up to round off the day.

Tuesday 19th February 2019

Today me and my older sister Charlotte, and my niece Evie, went for Afternoon tea.

We successfully resisted any treats in the staff Room for the whole of the half term, and this was our reward.

We havn’t been here for Afternoon tea before but it didn’t disappoint!

There were four different finger sandwiches each (Chicken, Tuna, Cheese & Ham)

And a lovely warm sausage roll 😍

There was also a scone with cream and jam and a assortment of cakes, very nice!

Once we had finished we got the bus back into town, visited Elmer and then went back to Charlottes for a play.

My favourite girly πŸ’œ

What have you been up to this half term?

My reading challenge: February πŸ“š

Month One of my reading challenge is complete and I managed to read three books, one more than my minimum.

● Goodnight Mr Tom by Michelle Magorian

● The face behind the mask: The Annie Graham series by Helen Phifer

● The Good Sisters by Helen Phifer

Month Two of my reading challenge is here …

The books I will be reading for February are:

●Eve of Man by Giovanna & Tom Fletcher

Eve is like any other teenage girl . . .

Except that the fate of the entire world lies on her shoulders.

She’s the first girl born in fifty years. She’s the answer to their prayers. She’s the final hope. Which means she has one function alone . . . At sixteen, Eve must face her destiny and make a choice.

She will choose a man, one out of three carefully selected suitors.

But what about Bram?

The future of the planet hangs on Eve making the right choice.

Will she?

●Dark House: The Detective Lucy Harwin series by Helen Phifer

‘For years, the Moore Asylum housed the forgotten children of Brooklyn Bay. But now, a man is found murdered in the derelict building, strapped to a steel trolley, launching a heart-racing investigation for Detective Lucy Harwin.

Lucy quickly discovers the victim was once a Moore Asylum doctor, and when a woman also linked to the home is killed on her doorstep, Lucy knows she must dig into its history. What dark secrets lie within the asylum’s walls – what was the scandal leading to its closure thirty years ago?’

Of course, like in January, if I find any more that I want to read and I can fit them it, I will. Obviously Feb is a short month so I’m not sure I’ll do three this time round.

What books have you guys been enjoying throughout January??

Until next time,

Dechox is here! πŸ«πŸš«βŒ

Dechox is a fundraising campaign set up by The British Heart foundation to help fight ‘heart break’ (Very apt for this month!)

The campaign involves you giving up chocolate for the month of February, and in the process, raising lots of money for charity.

& a very worth while charity it is.

I will be carrying out the challenge from Fri 1st Feb until Thurs 28th Feb.

No chocolate, no chocolate flavourings, nothing with chocolate in at all. #sendhelp

Here is the website where you can find out some more information.

So, keep your fingers crossed for me and good luck to anybody who is also taking on this (insane, let’s be honest!) Challenge!

Until next time,
