November favouritesΒ

I love reading/watching favourites posts & videos so I thought I would do one again for November.

Can I just say, how is it December already?!? this year has gone so quickly, although Christmas is my favourite holiday so I’m not complaining πŸŽ„

Here goes!

First up,

Cosy jumpers!

Great for this chilly time of year, I got this lovely Oatmeal coloured one from Primark for Β£12.

It’s got alternating ribbed stripes and I bought it in the size bigger than I am so it is oversized and cosy.

My next favourite is along similar lines, bobble hats! I’m not usually a hat person but I have been loving these ones as the weathers got colder and they look so cute.

I picked this one up from New look a couple of years ago and love the flecks of pinks and purples. Great for keeping you head and ears toasties.

I have also been loving Costa’s new Christmas menu. I was so happy to see that they have brought back the Mint hot choc. Whenever me and my sister are in town we always get one to keep us warm as we look round the shops, it makes you feel so festive!

I’ve also really been enjoying Salty and sweet popcorn. I’m not usually one for popcorn choosing chocolate first but I have loved having this as a snack this month. The salty and sweet combo is such a winner.

These Sunbites popcorn packs are super yummy and great for me on Slimming World as a medium bag is 6 syns and the multi pack bags are only 2.5!

Some beauty favourites of mine this month are …

The Collection lasting perfection Concealor in Shade 2 ‘Cool Medium’ This concealor is amazing, the coverage is perfect and it’s a bargin at only Β£3.99.

I use this one on my face to cover any blemishes so ‘Cool Medium’ is a good shade for me. My sister uses Shade 1 ‘Ivory’ for under her eyes and loves it too.

I love Barry M nail varnishes and I’ve been loving their Gelly Hi-Shine range.

This colour is ‘Black grape’. It’s a lovely dark grungy colour that is almost black but has a tinge of navy to it.

I had to include the film Fantastic Beasts and where to find them!

I of course love it and me and my sister have been a few times already πŸ™Š it’s so magical and it’s great to be immersed back into the magical world. Don’t miss it, it’s amazing.

And finally, some books! I’m such a bookworm so I thought I’d share a couple that I have been enjoying with you…

I love Zoella’s latest novel in her series , it’s called ‘Girl Online: Going solo’ I’m really getting stuck into it, definatly give this a look.

Sleepless in Manhattan’ By Sarah Morgan. These are such an easy read and are really cool as they are set in NYC.

I’ve got  next two waiting for when I finish Zoella’s novel.

So those are my November favs! I hope u I’ve enjoyed this post πŸ‘

What have you been loving this November?

Blogmas 2016: Day one πŸŽ„

It’s here! Blogmas 2016. So much has happened since I was last doing this but I’m thrilled to be doing it again, this is my favourite time of year after allπŸŽ„

I thought I would ease into it with some festive pictures to get you in the Christmas spirit. These are of different things I have seen popping up in shops etc over November and being the Christmas lover that I am I couldn’t not take pictures!!

It’s also important to make you aware that at the end of each post I will include a little bit about my Beauty advent calender. I’ve never had one before but my husband kindly bought me the Make up Revolution one and I can’t wait to open the windows and share with you what I get.

Festive pics coming up…

Ahh I love it!! Christmas is the BEST.

So what did I get in my first advent calender window…

I got this gorgeous nude lipstick! I’m not usually one for Nudes, more of a pink kinda gal! but this is really lovely, especially for this season! This will be a lovely addition to my collection, my first proper nude lipstick.

Tomorrows blogmas post will be all about advent 🎁 I’ll go into more detail about my calender, price etc.

Ho Ho Ho,

Roseanne πŸŽ…

I forgot to mention…

I’ve just realised that I have completely forgotten to mention that I will be doing Blogmas again this year, and it will of course be starting tommorrow! (Yay! advent calenders at the ready)

I already have a few ideas for some posts and have some christmassy activities booked up that I would like to share with you, but if there is anything you’d like to you see in particular let me know!

& if not I’ll see you tomorrow for the first installment of Blogmas 2016. Excited 🌟

Until next time,

My day off!Β

I love watching daily vlogs on Youtube so I thought I would do a blog post about my day!

Our school had a PD day on Friday which meant a 3 day weekend! YES!!

There was only one way to start that day, lazing in bed followed by a trip to the Tesco below our flat to pick up breakfast.

I’m loving that our Tesco now has a Costa coffee machine! Caramel latte all the way β˜•

I also picked up some sausages, eggs and mushrooms for breakfast πŸ˜‹

Delicious!

I spent the rest of the morning not doing very much and catching up on programmes that I had fallen behind with (4 weeks of Home & Away to watch πŸ™ˆ)

In the afternoon I walked into town to meet my sister Sarah and my nephews Noah & Casey.

We did a spot of Christmas shopping first…

It was the first time I had seen the Christmas lights on and it felt very christmassy.

After that we headed to the swimming pool. Noah & Casey both love swimming and I’ve only been once with Casey so it was nice to go in with him again β™‘

Little cutie! although his face says why have you laid me down here! πŸ™Š

After lots of splashing, floating, slide and wave machine fun we got out and once we were dressed we decided to head to Costa to warm up.

Me and Sarah both got our favourite festive drink, the mint hot chocolate.

I also got their lemon tart too, it’s so yummy and zingy.

Sarah tried their festive gingerbread muffin which has a cute iced gingerbread man on top…

A fun way to spend my day off and I love that I still have 2 days left before I’m back to work πŸ™†

P.s, I can’t not mention… IT’S A MONTH UNTIL CHRISTMAS #sorrynotsorry

Until next time,

Roseanne πŸ™‚

What’s in my bag? Work editionπŸŽ’

I’ve just bought a new bag that I love and will be using temporarily as a work bag so I thought I would do a ‘what’s in my bag?’ work edition.

Let’s start with the bag…

This gorgeous rucksack is from Asda and was only Β£14!

It’s a black and cream aztec print with flecks of gold embroidered through it.

It has a popper at the top and string with these cute tassel details to close it. It has an handy zip pocket inside and two little pockets that close with poppers on the front.

So, What’s in my bag?

Most importantly (in my eyes πŸ™Š) my lunch bag! this bag is so cute with 🎡’All you need is lunch! Na Na Na Na Nahh!🎡 I got this in London and it fits loads in it!

I always carry my trusty water bottle with me, very important for staying hydrated especially when you are constantly on the go like you are in my job!

A few essentials that I always have in my bag are as follows:

β˜” because British weather is always unpredictable.

Deodrant to freshen up.

πŸ”‘ keys, for home and work. (Lego Dumbledore πŸ‘Šβ˜‡)

πŸ’·my purse πŸ‘±Hairbrush &🎧headphones

And finally some chewing gum! I like the green Wrigleys extra spearmint.

I also always carry my phone but I’m writing this blog post on it atm so I can’t take a photo of it haha. I have the Samsung S7 in Rose gold.

I also always have a book in my bag but of course this changes regularly, I’ve just started reading Zoellas latest novel ‘Girl Online: Going Solo’ I really enjoyed her other two books in the series so I can’t wait to get stuck into this one.

I can definatly tell Winter is almost here, everyone is getting colds so I’ve got these in my bag as I’m suffering at the moment! Hopefully I won’t need them for too long.

That’s it πŸ‘ I hope you’ve enjoyed this blog post

What do you always have in your bag?

Until next time,

Maybelline Eyeshadows πŸ‘€

Maybelline do some awesome eyeshadows that look amazing, are super pigmented and really long lasting! I thought I would share with you my favourite ones from a couple of their ranges, both powder and creme shadows.

Let’s make a start,
‘The Nudes’ eyeshadow range consists of some lovely palettes with an awesome selection of colours to create so many different looks. I have three palettes from this range.

First up is my favourite…

The Blushed Nudes

This a made up of gorgeous dusky pinks and is just so beautiful 😍 The light Base tones, whites & creams with the pinks are so so pretty.

We used this palette for the make up on my wedding day, it was perfect πŸ‘Œ

Here are some swatches of the colours…

Gorgeous pinks 😍🌸🏡🌹

The Nudes

This palette is great for creating the perfect nude look with lovely browns, golds, beiges and creams.

These are great for creating a everyday look or for vamping up a night out look.

Here are the colours in the palette…
And last but not least…

The Rock Nudes

These are such cool colours and great for creating an awesome night out look!

This palette has some great base colours, grungy browns/blacks and sparkly glitters.

I love the navy blue and black sparkly ones.

There are a couple more palettes from this collection, ‘The Brights’

‘The Graffiti Nudes’

And, ‘The Smokes’

I can’t wait to get my hands on these ones too!!
Maybelline also have a range of ‘Colour tattoo 24hr’ eyeshadows. These are a creme formula and are amazing πŸ˜€

I have two shades from this range so far Pink Gold & On and on bronze. They are gorgeous!! Here’s a swatch…

These are great for this season with their metallic look and the bronze shade is especially great for Autumn/Winter time. The pink gold colour is so pretty, I LOVE pinks and this one is amazing.

These eyeshadows are so versatile, super pigmented and long lasting. They are great for sweeping across the lid on their own or blended with other colours to create different looks.

I would defiantly recommend all of these products for their affordability, versatility, quality and variety πŸ‘Œ

What eyeshadow products would you recommend?

Fantastic beasts & where to find them Midnight screening β˜‡πŸŽ₯

As I’ve mentioned on here me and my twin sister Sarah are BIG Harry Potter fans and so the release of a film from the Harry Potter franchise was very exciting.

We decided to go to the midnight showing at our local cineworld.

We went for dinner at Byron burger, this is one of the new resturant in the newly refurbished Buttermarket shopping centre in my home town.

The interior is really cool…

And fhe food was delicious…

I had the ‘Clucky’ chicken burger which was full of yummy guacamole and pickles. Sarah went for the veggie bean burger.

We also went for a couple of sides, courgette fries & onion rings with garlic alioli dip πŸ‘Œ

Once we’d eaten we made our way to The cinema…

We were very excited!!

Adorned with HP tops and Gryffindor scarfs with butterbear frappicinos in hand we headed into the screen!!!!!

My verdict… β˜†β˜†β˜†β˜†β˜†

It was amazing. Of course it is a different story to Harry Potter with different characters but it is set in the same magical world that all Potter fans know and love with a new and exciting plot and awesome characters that add more detail to an already amazing franchise.

Written by JK Rowling it fits in perfectly as a prequel to the original Harry Potter series (those Harry Potter marathons just got more epic) The mention of characters from the Harry Potter franchise just make it more viable and exciting and you learn more about JKs incredible magical world and the beasts that inhabit it.

I would 100% recommend giving this a watch πŸ‘Œβ˜‡

My favourite Netflix shows πŸ“Ί

I thought I would share with you my favourite shows on Netflix. There are so many great show’s on there & here are just a few of my favourites as well as some other suggestions of things to watch too.

 How I met your mother

Ted’s epic search for his soul mate is told largely through flashbacks, as an adult Ted recounts how he met their mother. This sitcom is so funny! It reminds me a lot of Friends where it is based around the dynamics & characters in a friendship group.

There are 9 series on Netflix (I’m hoping that’s of them but I don’t want to look it up incase anything about the series is spoiled for me)

The Big Bang Theory

Quarks fly when two geeky physicists discover that they have a new neighbour, a sexy actress who inspires them to try a relationship with real women.

This science & relationship based comedy is brilliant! It’s so funny & clever with some very unique characters.

There are currently 9 series on Netflix to watch and series 10 is on TV at the moment.

Pretty Little Liars

As time has passed since Alison, then the Queen been of the bunch went missing. Spencer, Aria, Hanna & Emily have gone on with their lives, though they’ve grown apart. As the years go by, each girl finds herself facing a new set of challenges when anonymous text messages from “A” threaten to expose all their secrets both old secrets the girls were sure only Alison knew, and newer secrets developed after Alison’s disappearance. Who is “A” and how does he or she know the things he or she knows?

This series is based on the books by Sara Shepherd. There are 7 seasons on Netflix at the moment. It’s a really good story to follow with lots of drama, twists & turns.

Jessica Jones

She’s a gifted PI hiding a past that’s left her broken, but still fighting. Revenge may be sweet, but she isn’t.

This is based around the Marvel character called Jessica Jones, set in the fictional city of Hells kitchen. This is very deep, with lots of plot twists & an interesting insight into the mind.

There is currently 1 series on Netflix but a new season is out this week!

Jane the Virgin

A young women’s life long goal to stay pure is foiled. Now she’s got 9 months to come up with a new plan.

Jane was determined to not make the same mistakes as her mum, she is engaged to a handsome detective who supports her decision you remain a virgin until marriage, but a routine visit to the clinic turns her life upside down. Insemination by a specimen meant for a patient in the next room, Jane is in a situation made only more insane when she learns that the sperm donor is her boss, Rafael. As her meticulously planned life gets more like the telenovelas she loves, she makes a lot of complicated decisions about the future.

This show has one season available on Netflix & this is definatly worth a watch πŸ‘

Some other series that I would like you watch/I suggest to you…

  • Crown
  • Stranger things
  • Line of Duty
  • Shadow hunters; Mortal Instruments series
  • Scream
  • A series of unfortunate events

I hope you’ve enjoyed this blog post! I hope this has given you some ideas of what to watch & catch up with.

What shows would you recommend?

OOTD: A Night Out look πŸΉ

Last night we had pre drinks at mine & Tim’s and then headed to town to celebrate my brother in law Dan’s 27th Birthday.

I really liked this outfit as it was a nice going out outfit but it was actually really comfy too, great for dancing πŸ’ƒ

I’ve also included the make up look that I went for, I’ll include as much information about the products I used & the clothes as I can!

We’ll start with the outfit first as I based the make up look on what I was wearing (Once I had decided!!)

Blouse: Primark Β£8-11 (sorry I can’t remember exactly)

Jeans, high waisted super skinny: Primark Β£8 reduced from Β£9

Shoes: Black patent moccasins, Primark Β£8

Choker:  with rose gold tips, Ebay Β£2.50 for a set of 2

I love these jeans for this look as they are really skinny and quite a dark denim so they look really smart with this outfit & are perfect for a night out. I don’t usually wear trouser for a night out but it was nice for a change.

The choker finished off this outfit really well, my sister got it for me from Ebay and it’s really cool. It comes as a set of two with a plain black velvet one.

I really liked how my make up turned out last night, I went a bit extra with the eyes as I think this is what sets a night out look apart from a everyday look.

Base/Foundation: Body shop bb cream shade 2, Β£12 & Bourjois Radiance reveal healthy mix foundation (1 pump) Β£9.99

Concealor: Collection lasting perfection in ‘Cool medium’ for the face, Superdrug Β£4.19 & Bourjois Radiance reveal in ‘Ivory’ for under the eyes, Superdrug Β£8.99

Blush: Revolution ‘Blush goddess’ blush palette, Superdrug Β£6

Highlighter: Sleek MakeUp Highlighter palette ‘Precious metals’ SuperdrugΒ£9.99

Lipstick: Mac Velvet teddy Β£15

Eyes: Revolution ‘Fortune favours the brave’ palette, Superdrug Β£9.99

Charlotte Tilbury ‘Legendary lashes’ mascara Β£25

Make up brushes: Real techniques brushes

I really liked this look and I think my eyeshadow skills are defiantly improving.

This maroon, brown eye look went really well with my outfit, the revolution palette has some gorgeous colours.

The lipstick is a browny nude which I usually don’t like at all but I think this one is growing on me, I may need to add this to my Christmas list!!

I hope you enjoyed this going out look πŸ’‹

What are your make up favs for a great night out or an everyday look?

Until next time,

Brunch 🍳

Yesterday morning me, Tim, Sarah, Dan, the kids & our friends went for brunch at Coast to Coast. They have recently opened in the newly refurbished Buttermarket shopping centre in my home town.

The interior is really cool in Coast to Coast!

The food was super yummy too…

I had the breakfast feast that consisted of crispy bacon, sausage, fried eggs, breakfast potatoes, a sweet potatoe fritter & pancakes with maple syrup…

And tea of course…

Tim had the breakfast stack which also comes with breakfast potatoes too.

Noah had a lovely time too with his fruit & Yoghurt sundae πŸ“

It was nice to all meet up and have some yummy food 😊

A great way to spend a rainy day πŸŒ§β›†
