Christmas eve part 1: Christmas arts & crafts

Only one day to go!! Im doing Christmas eve in two parts again like last year as theres been lots going on these last few days, super festive!

How is it Christmas eve already, this is so mad, where has December gone?!? I’m going to miss all the festive build up, its one of the best bits of Christmas.

I found an awesome craft set from Wilko in town and had to get it to do with Noah, I knew he would enjoy it.

In the set you get 12 ceramic Christmas themed ornaments, mini pots of paint, a paintbrush, 2 tubes of glitter and string to hang them up. What made this set even more amazing is that when I got it it was reduced to half price making it a bargin Β£2.50!! I couldn’t believe it.

Full price it would have been Β£5 which is still really good as it’s great fun, brilliant value and these would make adorable homemade Christmas presents too.

Here’s me and Noah having a go at some crafty arty fun…

He really enjoyed himself which is the main thing 😊 & Auntie Ro Ro did too hehe.

Part 2 will be up later! Our annual Christmas partyπŸŽ‰

In my beauty advent calender today…

Today was a bother lipstick in a lovely autumnal plum colour.

Here’s a swatch…

A Christmas party make up look: Blogmas day 21 πŸ’‹

Since I had my work Christmas party last night I thought I would do a Christmas party make up look for you guys. I loved this look with a red lip and bronze eyeshadow.

The products that I used were:

  • The body shop bb cream in Shade no 2 mixed with Bourjois healthy mix radiance reveal foundation in the Shade light beige, 1 pump of each.
  • Collection lasting perfection Concealor in Cool medium & Bourjois radiance reveal Concealor in Ivory.
  • Clinique face primer creme
  • Revoltuion blusher ‘love’
  • Make up obsession highlighter in the shade ‘bronze’
  • Revolution make up eye primer
  • Make up obsession eyeshadow in the shade ‘rich’ & Maybelline Nudes palette.
  • Diorshow mascara in black
  • Tanya Burrs perfect brows palette
  • Rimmel lip Liner in the shade 004 ‘Indian pink’
  • Tanya Burrs lipstick in the shade ‘Big kiss’

Brushes

  • Real techniques beauty blender; I used this for foundation & concealor.
  • Real techniques buffing brush; I use this brush to apply blusher.
  • Real techniques base eyeshadow brush; I used this to apply the base colour of my eyeshadow & the darker colour into the outer corner.
  • Real Technique multi-task brush; I use this brush to just wipe away any excess and clean up the look.
  • Primark fan brush for highlighing; this Brush applies highlighter flawlessly. I only recently got this after wanting one for ages and I would 100% recommend getting one of these.
  • Revolution, Limited edition angled brush; I used this brush for my eyebrows.

I used a mixture of two face products in order to give more coverage all night without being too heavy. I love the mix of my bb cream and the healthy mix foundation, it works really well. I used a pump of each on my beauty blender to apply it to my face.

I used the Collection concealor for my face and any blemishes or spots and the Bourjois concealor under my eyes which is why I go for a lighter shade to make under my eyes brighter.

I bought a few of the products listed above expecially for this make up look, these were…

I love the colours that you can get by ‘Make up obsession’ and I went for a glowy bronze look with the highlighter and eyeshadow as I thought this would work really well with the red lip. The eye primer I used (from my beauty advent calender) was also fab and my eyeshadow stayed perfect all night.

Tanya Burrs lipsticks from her Autumn collection are AMAZING. people kept asking me all night what lipstick I was wearing and commenting on how well it had stayed on even whilst I was eating the meal. I love the slightly darker shade of red in this lipstick, it’s party perfect.

    Here’s the finished look!

I was really please with this make up look & it went perfectly with my outfit but would be so versatile for so many party looks!

I hope you liked the look too πŸ’‹

In my beauty advent calender today…

Today I got a baked blusher! This is one of my favorites items from the advent calender so far!! I love pink blushers and this one is beautiful 😍

Festive Lush Haul ❄ Day 16

I grabbed a few items from Lush’s festive range when I was in town with my sister last week and I thought I would share them with you.

    Here’s what I got:

    • Butter bear
    • So white
    • Star dust
    • Father Christmas

    Let’s start with Butter bear;

‘Father Christmas gets softening, Fair Trade cocoa butter from the Colombian Peace Community of San JosΓ© de ApartadΓ³ especially for his gentle polar pal. Pop him into the water to infuse your bath with a warm and creamy perfume and dreamy softness for sublime skin. This comforting bear is also filled with fragrant cocoa powder and calming ylang ylang to melt hearts young and old.’

This was one of my favourites, it smells so good, is super cute and I love the ones that make your skin feel all soft and smooth as well as clean.

    Price: Β£1.95

    Up next; ‘So white’…

‘Snow White had a tough time of it. If you too are likely to spend Christmas day evading evil stepmothers, stroppy mirrors, not to mention cooking and cleaning for seven singing men, you certainly deserve a dip in the bath. Crisp, apple-scented waters, as pure as the driven snow, fizz and foam, while bergamot oil and rose absolute restore peace and calm. At the core, a heart of fruity, uplifting neroli oil and orange flower absolute is sure to revive your (Christmas) spirit.’

It looks & smells amazing in the bath as the colours comes through…

It makes the water this gorgeous dark green with the yellow and blue mixed together from the core, festive!

    Price: Β£3.75

    Star dust

‘Follow yonder twinkling, shimmering star all the way to the bathroom. The earthy spice of rosewood harmonises with the sweetness of vanilla absolute and bergamot oil for rejuvenating celestial waters. If you need a little post-party recovering this Christmas, just look skyward. Note: wise men not included.’

    Price: Β£2.95

    Father Christmas

‘Before making this, Father Christmas must have stopped at a sweet shop for stocking fillers because it smells like freshly spun candy floss. Soak away the hours in sweet, mouthwatering waters as the blushing red of Santa’s cheeks fizz away to reveal a vivid, holly-green centre.

I havnt tried this one out yet but I can’t wait as I love sweet smelling ones.

    Price: Β£3.75

I hope you enjoyed this mini Lush Haul!

Blogmas day 10: Tanya Burr cosmetics πŸ’‹

How are we 10 days in already?!?

I recently bought some of Tanya’s Burrs make up from her latest ranges and I thought I would show you what I got.

    First up,

The Midnight smoulder palette from her New autumn collection.

The colours in this palette are so beautiful.

From top left to bottom right: Star gazing, endless sky, midnight navy & into the night.

Also from her Autumn collection I grabbed one of her lipsticks. I have wanted to try these for ages and I have got a couple of the colours on my Christmas list but I really wanted her red shade ready for the Christmas party season. They are lovely creme lipsticks and the colours are amazing.

This is the red shade, ‘Big kiss’

Here’s a swatch of the lipstick, it’s a lovely darker red  and is going to look great for my work Christmas meals.

From her Soft Luxe collection I picked up one of her lip glosses that I have seen her use in a few of her videos and really liked the look of it.

This is in the shade ‘Afternoon tea’  it’s a lovely peachy pink colour.

I also picked up a lip gloss set from her New Christmas collection. I love her Christmas collection this year, it’s got some awesome pieces in it (also on my Christmas list!! Pretty please Santa πŸŽ…)  and the packaging is gorgeous too.

These lip glosses are so pretty, the pink on the left side is called ‘Berry Pavlova’ and the red one is called ‘Candy Cane’  Love that!

I love the icy blues, cute light pink lips all over the packaging & glitter detailing to look like a Christmas bow.

    Here are some swatches…

These are limited edition so I had to grab them whilst they were still in stock as they won’t be available after Christmas.

My final item isn’t Tanya Burr but it’s along the same lines as it’s by her friend Zoella…

This cute make up bag is from Zoellas Tutti Fruitti range which is now being discontinued. I grabbed it for Β£2 since they’ll be gone soon and it’s such a lovely size for in your handbag.

Have you tried any of these products? What did you think? What would you recommend?

(P.s I stayed at my sisters last night as we are off to Winter Wonderland today so I haven’t opened my advent calender, I will include today’s & tommorrows in Day 11 of Blogmas!)

OOTD: A Night Out look πŸΉ

Last night we had pre drinks at mine & Tim’s and then headed to town to celebrate my brother in law Dan’s 27th Birthday.

I really liked this outfit as it was a nice going out outfit but it was actually really comfy too, great for dancing πŸ’ƒ

I’ve also included the make up look that I went for, I’ll include as much information about the products I used & the clothes as I can!

We’ll start with the outfit first as I based the make up look on what I was wearing (Once I had decided!!)

Blouse: Primark Β£8-11 (sorry I can’t remember exactly)

Jeans, high waisted super skinny: Primark Β£8 reduced from Β£9

Shoes: Black patent moccasins, Primark Β£8

Choker:  with rose gold tips, Ebay Β£2.50 for a set of 2

I love these jeans for this look as they are really skinny and quite a dark denim so they look really smart with this outfit & are perfect for a night out. I don’t usually wear trouser for a night out but it was nice for a change.

The choker finished off this outfit really well, my sister got it for me from Ebay and it’s really cool. It comes as a set of two with a plain black velvet one.

I really liked how my make up turned out last night, I went a bit extra with the eyes as I think this is what sets a night out look apart from a everyday look.

Base/Foundation: Body shop bb cream shade 2, Β£12 & Bourjois Radiance reveal healthy mix foundation (1 pump) Β£9.99

Concealor: Collection lasting perfection in ‘Cool medium’ for the face, Superdrug Β£4.19 & Bourjois Radiance reveal in ‘Ivory’ for under the eyes, Superdrug Β£8.99

Blush: Revolution ‘Blush goddess’ blush palette, Superdrug Β£6

Highlighter: Sleek MakeUp Highlighter palette ‘Precious metals’ SuperdrugΒ£9.99

                Lipstick: Mac Velvet teddy Β£15

Eyes: Revolution ‘Fortune favours the brave’ palette, Superdrug Β£9.99

Charlotte Tilbury ‘Legendary lashes’ mascara Β£25

Make up brushes: Real techniques brushes

I really liked this look and I think my eyeshadow skills are defiantly improving.

This maroon, brown eye look went really well with my outfit, the revolution palette has some gorgeous colours.

The lipstick is a browny nude which I usually don’t like at all but I think this one is growing on me, I may need to add this to my Christmas list!!

I hope you enjoyed this going out look πŸ’‹

What are your make up favs for a great night out or an everyday look?

                Until next time,

                Roseanne πŸ™‚

                  My favourites

These are a few of the brushes that kind have enjoyed using in particular.

                  (From top):

                  • Angled Highlighter Brush
                  • Contour Brush

                    Today’s make up look 💄

I thought I would share today’s make up look! It’s quite a low key look, focusing on the eyes 👀

I apologise if the pictures aren’t great but I’m in the process of getting a new phone πŸ™‚

Disclaimer: I don’t claim to be good at applying make up, this is still relatively new to me but I’m really enjoying it and I love applying it all and trying  out different looks!

I’ll list the products I used for each part of the look.
                    So here it is…

So, I started off by moisturising using my Olay Beauty Fluid. I apply this all over the face and rub it in.

Next up I applied my illuminator. I used Sleek Make ups Barekissed illuninator in the shade ‘Casablanca’. I applied this using a beauty blender.

It gives my skin a lovely glow.

Next up I applied my foundation layer, for a lighter finish today I used my BB cream. The BB cream I used is The body shop All-in-one BB cream Shade no 2.

After foundation I applied Concealer. I applied this under my eyes to hide any dark circles and on any spots or blemishes. I used a beauty blender to apply both my BB cream & Concealor.

The concealer I used was Collections lasting perfection concealor in shade no 2 ‘Cool medium’.

After concealor I did my blusher & highlighter 👑

I used Bourjois Paris blusher in shade 74 ‘Rose Ambre’. The highlighter I used is by Revolution and is one of their baked highlighters.

                    Eyes!

I used a mix of palettes for this, I’ll pop a list below.

Before applying eyeshadow I use a primer, I would definatly recommend this as it makes the eyeshadow apply better & last longer. The primer I used was by Revolution, Focus & Fix eye primer.

I used a pale pink for the base, a shimmery pink in the crease, a dark brown/grey tone for the outer corner of the eye, a cream tone for the inner corners and a dark burgundy to add definition at the corners & under the lower lash line.

                    Palettes used…

                    • Revolutions Redemption palette Iconic 3
                    • Maybellines The blushed nudes
                    • Barry Ms Super Natural Eyeshadow palette Superdrug exclusive.

The Mascara I used is Dior’s ‘Diorshow’ Mascara in black.

                    Next up eyebrows…

I get my eyebrows threaded and tinted so all I do is shape and fill them using my Maybelline brow satin in the shade ‘Medium brown’. I will be featuring this in my next Beauty haul blog but I would definatly recommend giving this product a go.

Finally, lips 💄 I love liquid lipsticks but this time I went for a lipstick with a matte finish.

This is a MAC lipstick in shade ‘Pink plaid’. I got this from duty free on my recent holiday & I love this pinky tone. Pinks are defiantly my favourite when it comes to most make up items 🌸🌹
