Blogmas Day Twenty One: Chocolate Orange Cookies ๐Ÿซ๐ŸŠ

Time for another baking post!

Especially because I feel like I haven’t done enough of these this Blogmas!

I do have another recipe up my sleeve, that I am hoping to make for our Christmas day dessert, so keep your eyes peeled for that one too ๐Ÿ‘€

Chocolate Orange is one of my absolute favourite flavours ever, but I also think its quite festive too.

I used a ‘Tasty’ recipe this time which I will leave a link for here

I obviously adapted it to make them Chocolate Orange flavoured.

I added some cocoa powder to make the cookie batter chocolatey, a little orange extract instead of vanilla and I used chopped up Chocolate Orange segments, instead of choc chips.

These don’t take long to make, honestly the longest part is refrigerating the mixture for a minimum of 30 mins before baking. They only take 15 mins in the oven.

This is how they turned out. The chocolate orange pieces were all gooey ๐Ÿ˜

They are a lovely, soft cookie.

Let me know if you give them a go!

Until Next Time,

Blogmas 2019 Day Twenty Five: Christmas Eve pt 2 ๐ŸŽ„

Let me just start by saying Merry Christmas! I hope you all have the best christmas day with your loved ones. Eat, drink, be merry and care free.

Christmas eve pt 2

The evening

Here is the second half of our Christmas Eve adventures.

Our tradition, and one of my absolute favourites, is our Christmas lights tour of our home town.

We have usual hot spots that we visit each year but I also like to keep an eye out, in the few weeks leading up to Christmas, for any other lights that would be good to drive by.

My twin sister Sarah usually comes but she wasnt able to this time as she was working so my husband drove us, mum, and my two nephews around.

Once we had seen our share of lights we headed back to the boys house and gave them their Christmas eve boxes.

Once they had munched on some chocolate, it was time for Christmas PJs, setting up for Santa C and a festive bedtime story.

I got my two nephews and niece matching Christmas pjs, the same print but the boys were blue and Evie’s were pink.

They were lovely, and only ยฃ7 each from Asda.

I got them all a size up so they can have them for next year too.

All ready for Santa! ๐Ÿ’™๐ŸŽ…๐Ÿป

Once the boys had listened to ‘The Night Before Christmas’ story and gone to sleep we settled down to have our Nachos and watch some Christmas tv.

We watched ‘Father Christmas’ and the Christmas Eve episode of Eastenders ready for tomorrow.

It was nice to chill after a fun but busy day!

& of course when I got home I had to get ready for Santa myself…

That’s it for another year of Blogmas, it goes by quicker every year!!

25 days, 25 festive posts, Done.

๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ„ Merry Christmas! ๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ

Blogmas 2019 Day Seven: Pretzel reindeer ๐ŸฆŒโค

Pretzel Reindeers

These are so cute!

Here’s what you’ll need…

โ—‹Pretzels

โ—‹Rolos

โ—‹Red and/or brown smarties/MMs noses

โ—‹Edible eyes

โ—‹Non stick paper

โ—‹Baking tray

Heres how you make them…

โ—‹ First lay out your pretzels onto the paper (on a baking tray)

โ—‹Split a pretzel or use pretzel sticks to create antlers and place two of these underneath each pretzel, in position.

โ—‹Place rolos in the holes of the pretzels.

โ—‹Pop them in a low heat oven to melt the rolos.

โ—‹When the rolos start to go gooey you can take them out.

โ—‹Press the rolos down to spread out the gooey chocolate caramel over the surface of the pretzel.

โ—‹When its still melted pop a nose and eyes onto the reindeer pretzels to make the face.

(Make sure the pretzel antlers are pushed into the melted choc before you pop them into the fridge, so that they dont move out of position.)

I made a few with red Rudolph noses and a few with brown noses to make his pals.

โ—‹ Pop them into the fridge to cool.

Enjoy!

These would be so fun to make with kiddies, as Christmas day treats or as cute little homemade gifts popped into a festive treat bag.

18 Days until Christmas!!
