Blogmas Day Twenty One: Chocolate Orange Cookies πŸ«πŸŠ

Time for another baking post!

Especially because I feel like I haven’t done enough of these this Blogmas!

I do have another recipe up my sleeve, that I am hoping to make for our Christmas day dessert, so keep your eyes peeled for that one too πŸ‘€

Chocolate Orange is one of my absolute favourite flavours ever, but I also think its quite festive too.

I used a ‘Tasty’ recipe this time which I will leave a link for here

I obviously adapted it to make them Chocolate Orange flavoured.

I added some cocoa powder to make the cookie batter chocolatey, a little orange extract instead of vanilla and I used chopped up Chocolate Orange segments, instead of choc chips.

These don’t take long to make, honestly the longest part is refrigerating the mixture for a minimum of 30 mins before baking. They only take 15 mins in the oven.

This is how they turned out. The chocolate orange pieces were all gooey 😍

They are a lovely, soft cookie.

Let me know if you give them a go!

Chocolate orange cupcakes!

Hey guys πŸ‘‹πŸ»

So I haven’t done a recipe post for a while and what better way to start off a new year of baking than with these delights…

….chocolate orange cupcakes.I’ve used a BBC Good Food recipe because they always work out well for me.I slightly modified the recipe to make then orange as the recipe was for just plain chocolate cupcakes.Let’s take a look at the recipe. I’ll leave a link here and then you can see on the recipe below how I modified it.

β€’100g Plain Flour

β€’20g Cocoa Powder

β€’140g Caster Sugar

β€’1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder

β€’40g Inslated Butter

β€’120ml milk

β€’1 egg

β€’Orange Extract

To decorate:

β€’Chocolate buttercream flavoured with melted chocolate orange or the orange extract.

β€’Chocolate orange segments

β€’Sprinkles

I hope you enjoyed this little recipe. Chocolate orange seems to be everywhere atm (I’m not complaining) so theres plenty of chocolate orange adornments to choose from.

I added sprinkles too because why not!!

I would usually use a piping bag but mine broke last time so I glhas to just spatula it on, so not quite a professional finish but so yummy.

Let me know if you give them a go .

Until next time,

I love the texture (& of course the taste) of the Choc orange segments that are pushed into the tops of the brownies, amazing.

These were so gooey & sticky and I am just obsessed with chocolate and cake and chocolate orange as a flavour combo so these were an absolute winner.

I took these to my Nieces 2nd birthday party and they went down a treat.

Let me know if you give these a go, and what you think of the recipe too.
