Blogmas Day Twenty Five: Christmas Fun πŸŽ„πŸŽ…πŸ»

The Big Day is finally here!

For the final day of Blogmas I thought I would share some of the Christmas fun we’ve been up to on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!

Christmas Eve

Me and my sister continued our tradition of meeting up for a burger with our friend.

Obviously being 2020 we had to get it takeaway and outside 😷

So we incorporated a walk around the park and it was really nice (except the rain shower!!)

I had the Caffe Nero Mint Hot Choc finally, and it was so delicious and festive too

We also have a tradition of going around our local town to look at the christmad lights.

We keep an eye out in the weeks leading up to Christmas eve and there are a few that are always good too.

There were some brilliant lights on display this year.

Keepin’ it COVID secure by going in our separate cars and we just chatted over a voice call, worked pretty well 🀣

Left my Stocking out for Santa, obv!

Christmas Day

Me and Tim started the day with a delicious and festive nutella pastry Christmas tree & a cuppa!

Followed by present opening 🎁

My father in law provided a lovely Christmas lunch for us, we had my brother in law on Zoom, at the dinner table with us… very 2020!

We enjoyed a bit of a relax and a TV break before another family Zoom with a game of birds names.

We had the standard Christmas day buffet in the eve with the other half of our bubble, my twin sister, brother in law and nephews.

We had fun opening presents, had a bit of a dance and enjoyed some yummy food.

It’s been a strange one in the sense that we are all (hopefully) being more cautious than usual this year, but it has been fun to be able to keep some traditions alive and to get together, where possible, to celebrate

I really hope that you’ve all enjoyed your day πŸŽ…πŸ»

Tier Four tomorrow! But we still have Boxing day Skype fun planned with a Christmas themed family quiz.

Stay safe and thankyou so much for joining me again for another fun, festive and unforgettable Blogmas.

Until Next Time,

Blogmas 2019 Day Twenty Five: Christmas Eve pt 2 πŸŽ„

Let me just start by saying Merry Christmas! I hope you all have the best christmas day with your loved ones. Eat, drink, be merry and care free.

Christmas eve pt 2

The evening

Here is the second half of our Christmas Eve adventures.

Our tradition, and one of my absolute favourites, is our Christmas lights tour of our home town.

We have usual hot spots that we visit each year but I also like to keep an eye out, in the few weeks leading up to Christmas, for any other lights that would be good to drive by.

My twin sister Sarah usually comes but she wasnt able to this time as she was working so my husband drove us, mum, and my two nephews around.

Once we had seen our share of lights we headed back to the boys house and gave them their Christmas eve boxes.

Once they had munched on some chocolate, it was time for Christmas PJs, setting up for Santa C and a festive bedtime story.

I got my two nephews and niece matching Christmas pjs, the same print but the boys were blue and Evie’s were pink.

They were lovely, and only Β£7 each from Asda.

I got them all a size up so they can have them for next year too.

All ready for Santa! πŸ’™πŸŽ…πŸ»

Once the boys had listened to ‘The Night Before Christmas’ story and gone to sleep we settled down to have our Nachos and watch some Christmas tv.

We watched ‘Father Christmas’ and the Christmas Eve episode of Eastenders ready for tomorrow.

It was nice to chill after a fun but busy day!

& of course when I got home I had to get ready for Santa myself…

That’s it for another year of Blogmas, it goes by quicker every year!!

25 days, 25 festive posts, Done.

πŸŽπŸŽ„ Merry Christmas! πŸŽ„πŸŽ

Blogmas 2019 Day Twenty Four: Christmas Eve pt 1 β˜ƒοΈ

This is where Christmas really starts. I definatly count this as one of the big ‘Christmas days’ inc Christmas day ans boxing day and any subsequent family Christmas days after these few days.

The day started off by having a Christmas Eve brunch with my sister and my niece Evie-Mae.

After brunch we had a look through Evies Christmas eve box…

(Blogmas 2019 Day 19: Christmas Eve Boxes )

Inside Evies box was a ‘Make your own Christmas Wreath’ kit.

Evie even created her own ‘Christmas Rhino’ to go on her wreath (you had to be there!)

It was good fun 😊

After all that craft we needed a treat… we tucked into some chocolate coins whilst watching Christmas Hey Duggee.

Yum yum, don’t tell Mummy!

Later on we made some cookies for Santa!

I think Santa is really going to enjoy them.

A lovely fun, festive start to Christmas Eve with my favourite little girly πŸ’œ

Now I have some baking and food prep to get started!

& its Christmas eve part 2 with my nephews.

I hope you are enjoying your Christmas eve! Don’t stress.

Blogmas 2019: Day Nineteen Christmas Eve boxes

Hi guys!

So, of course Christmas day is the big day we all countdown to but I love Christmas eve and boxing day too.

Over the years we’ve added traditions to these days as I think they are just as good a day to celebrate as the 25th.

When my nephews, and now my niece too, came along I started a tradition of doing them a Christmas eve box each.

Its just a few little fun things but it really builds the Christmas excitement, the day before, and I like that it’s my little tradition that I do with them β™₯️

So, what to put in a Christmas eve box?

In loads of supermarkets and shops in town they are now selling either ready made or empty ‘Christmas eve boxes’.

I like to fill mine myself as my nephews and niece are all different ages and I like to pick things that I know they would like.

I picked up the christmas boxes I’m using last year…

Places like Wilko, Card Factory, B&M,The Works, Tesco, Asda all have their own ones on offer.

What do you put in it?

Here’s what I have gone for this year…

(This is the content of my nieces box, she is two and a half years old, but it’s not particularly girly, my nephews have got pretty much the same.) I will add some extra ideas at the end too.

A Christmassy story.

I love books and I think its so important to get children interested in reading. My Niece loves books so I got her this Christmas classic.

Christmas Arts & crafts

I love popping something fun in, and it gives you something arty to do on Christmas eve, to keep the little ones occupied.

I got my niece this little ‘Make your own wreath set’ she has her own little tree this year that she loves so I thought she would like her own Christmas wreath to hang too.

Chocolate coins

A christmas classic item and a nice little treat.

Some cute little Christmas bath puppets (although they don’t have to just be used in the bath!)

My niece loves a bath so I thought she would enjoy these in general, but also on Christmas eve when she is getting all cosy and ready for bed.

Christmas pjs/new pjs

And on the same cosy theme I got her some new festive pjs to pop on after her bath. I went for these super cute festive ones from Asda. I loved the print and they had ones you could get for different ages to match.

I got my nephews the blue versions so they are all going to be matching, super cute!!!!

A Christmas decoration

I saw these cute little decorations when I was shopping in Wilkinsons (Check out more of their collection here.

I picked up a cheeky elf one for my niece. They also had a santa, a snowman and a reindeer.

Cookies for Santa

I thought that these were a lovely way of adding to the age old tradition of leaving Santa a snack on Christmas eve.

This is a really simple cookie making set and then you get a few festive bits to decorate them.

Again, I thought this would be fun and a great way to get them into the festive spirit and keep then occupied on Christmas eve.

I thought I would also include this as they are super cute and great for kids. I have previously bought these for my nephews but as this is the year my niece will really be having a proper Christmas dinner I thought it was time she had one too!

So cute and super fun!

Other ideas:

β€’Christmas activity books

β€’Christmas sticker books

β€’Cosy socks

β€’Hot chocolate

β€’A little Christmas teddy

β€’ A pack of Reindeer food

β€’ A selection box

β€’ A Christmas top or Jumper

β€’A Christmas card game

β€’A Christmas plate for Santa

Blogmas Day 25: Christmas eve boxes🎁 that’s a wrap!

πŸŽ… MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE πŸŽ…

Yesterday we had fun enjoying some festive frivolity with my sisters, niece & nephews and then out with friends for lunch.

In the evening, once we had seen the Christmas lights, we cracked open the Christmas eve boxes for the boys.

For the adults we all had new pjs, I had friends ones, Tim had dinosaur ones and Sarah & Dan had Grinch ones.

I put together a Christmas eve box for my nephews Noah & Casey as well as my niece Evie-Mae.

They seemed to really enjoy it.

They all especially liked the little light up, spinning toys.

So, what did I put into the boxes?

The boxes varied slightly as Noah & Casey are a bit older than Evie.

Noah & Casey

β—‹Chocolate coins

β—‹A Chocolate lolly each

β—‹Reindeer food

β—‹A light up, spinning toy

β—‹A Little Christmas book

β—‹A light up, spinning toy

β—‹A little Christmas book

β—‹New, Cosy Pjs

Look at them in their matching Harry Potter Pjs 😍

They all seemed to enjoy their boxes and it’s a fun, cute little tradition to add some more magic to Christmas eve.

I love seeing their excited little faves.

I hope you have enjoyed my Blogmas posts this year, I love doing it, it always makes me feel so festive and I love sharing my love of Christmas.

I hope you all have the very best Christmas & a Happy New year.

See you in 2019!!

Blogmas Day 24: Decorating gingerbread men.

It’s Christmas Eve!!

I can’t believe it, this Blogmas has been the quickest yet.

Only One day to go!!

love doing festive craft and cooking with my nephews and niece.

I found these cute ‘decorate your own gingerbread man’ sets in the Co-op.

You get six mini gingerbread men (perfect for little ones) some icing tubes and sprinkles to decorate.

This is great for little ones as the gingerbread men aren’t too big, a good treat size, and nice and simple for them to.

They were all very excited to get started.

The set came with a little tube of icing and two different types of sprinkles.

It was a nice little bit of festive fun for the kiddies and of course their favourite part was the eating!

Merry Christmas Eve!

If you want to know how we are spending Christmas eve have a look at Blogmas Day Five

Whatever you are doing, I hope it’s a good one πŸŽ„

Until next time,

Blogmas Day Five: Our Christmas eve plans πŸŽ…

Although of course Christmas day is the big day, I love Christmas eve and Boxing day too. Any excuse to stretch out the festivities a bit longer.

We usually spend time with my nephews Noah and Casey and my twin sister on Christmas eve and of course this year my niece Evie is a bit older and can enjoy the fun too.

It’s quite a nice chilled out day but full of fun and food.

I will get some yummy food in for breakfast for me and Tim to enjoy before he has to work.

Then me and my sister’s are going to get together and do something fun with all the kiddies.

When it gets darker we head over to my mum’s and pick her up so that we can carry out our tradition of looking at the Christmas lights around our local area. I love this tradition, it’s one of my favourite festive pastimes and it really gets you into the spirit.

After we’ve looked at the lights we head to Sarah’s for some yummy treats and relaxing in our new Christmas PJs. We don’t do full on Christmas eve boxes for the boys yet as they are still a bit little, but we do all get some new, cosy festive pjs, hot chocolate and a couple of festive activities for the boys to make or colour before bed.

We also have a Christmas film on in the background too, probably ‘The Grinch’ as we all like that.

Once the boys are in bed the adults enjoy our festive feast.

We always just get a few things that we can all share and enjoy together.

This year we are going to get a Camembert, with bread to dip, Nachoes and some pigs in blankets. It’s going to be delicious. I can’t wait!!

What do you like to do on Christmas eve?

Until next time,

Our annual Christmas party πŸŽ‰ Christmas eve part 2

Yesterday was our annual Christmas party πŸŽ‰ Our friendship group from school have been doing Secret Santa for about 4 or 5 years now as it’s easier (& cheaper) than getting everyone a present and it’s a bit of fun. I always organise it so Me & Tim turned it into a party occasion last year and we thought we’d do the same this year too.

We got the flat ready & party food cooking once I’d got back from work!

Christmas crackers!

The games table! I got these cute set of Christmas themed photo booth props from B & M in town for Β£1.99, They are so cute & festive! The werewolf game is a mystery role playing card game for a large group, Tim found this on Amazon for Β£15 and of course classic pub quiz which we picked up from Tesco for Β£2.50! The questions are actually really good as there are lots of cool categories like food, sport, celebrity, science & nature and they aren’t too ridiculously hard which is great for all the family!

We had nibbles, drinks & exchanged presents first!

I got an awesome Fantastic Beasts colouring book & mystery mini figure which turned out to be Harry Potter, awesome β˜‡

Once we had eaten we continue with our drinks and played the games;

Photo booth fun…

Pub quiz…

Team Brookehill, winners of the 2016 wooden spoon!

It was a really good night and great to catch up together before Christmas!

I can’t believe it’s Christmas eve and Santa will be here soon.

Christmas eve part 1: Christmas arts & crafts

Only one day to go!! Im doing Christmas eve in two parts again like last year as theres been lots going on these last few days, super festive!

How is it Christmas eve already, this is so mad, where has December gone?!? I’m going to miss all the festive build up, its one of the best bits of Christmas.

I found an awesome craft set from Wilko in town and had to get it to do with Noah, I knew he would enjoy it.

In the set you get 12 ceramic Christmas themed ornaments, mini pots of paint, a paintbrush, 2 tubes of glitter and string to hang them up. What made this set even more amazing is that when I got it it was reduced to half price making it a bargin Β£2.50!! I couldn’t believe it.

Full price it would have been Β£5 which is still really good as it’s great fun, brilliant value and these would make adorable homemade Christmas presents too.

Here’s me and Noah having a go at some crafty arty fun…

He really enjoyed himself which is the main thing 😊 & Auntie Ro Ro did too hehe.

Part 2 will be up later! Our annual Christmas partyπŸŽ‰

In my beauty advent calender today…

Today was a bother lipstick in a lovely autumnal plum colour.

Here’s a swatch…
