What’s in my bag? πŸŽ’

I love watching ‘whats in my bag?’ videos on yotube so I thought I would do one for my blog.

So, what’s in my bag?

Let’s start with the all important bag! This little black bag is from Primark and was only  Β£9. I love the faux leather material & suede material on the front. The gold detailing & clasp are really cute too.

I love that it has both long & short straps too and although it looks small it fits a lot in it.

Let’s take a look inside…

I always carry my purse & a hairbrush where ever I go. I love this purse, sage green is one of my favourite colours  (one of our wedding colours too, ahhh β™‘) & the patterned birds are really cute. It’s nice and big so fits lots in it too!

I got this lovely big Brush from Primark for Β£1.50, bargin!

I also always have a book with me & if you’ve seen my August favourites you’ll know I’m currently reading this Nicholas Sparks book πŸ‘

I love this body mist from Zoella original beauty range. Blissful Mistful β˜† it smells gorgeous.

Sunglasses 😎 The weather hasn’t been too bad this summer so I’ve carried these in my bag ready. I love having decent prescription sunglasses, I always hated not being able to have nice ones or just not being able to see!

I would defiantly recommend this Revolution Lip amplification lip gloss as it has such good staying power. I’ve eaten and drank and it’s still in place with a good colour.

I love this shade ‘Joy’ it’s a lovely plum autumnal colour. πŸ‚πŸ

And finally…

I popped one of these fruity bars, from Aldi in my bag incase I got peckish around town. This is blueberry and seeds flavour. It comes from their ‘Foodie market’ range and they do lots of other yummy fruit flavours to satisfy your sweet tooth.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post, let me know if you did! What do you always carry in your bag?

Until next time,

Roseanne πŸ™‚

      August favourites πŸ€—

I’ve wanted to do a favourites post for ages but I’ve never got round to it. I might have mentioned some of these things in other posts but these are a few things that I have been loving this month.

      First up, beauty & skincare…

I have definatly mentioned these first two before and I am still loving these so much!

Maybelline brow satin in the shade ‘Medium Brown’. This is a make up staple for me now, it’s so easy to apply.

Bourjois Rough velvet edition in the shade 07 ‘Nude-ist’. This glides on really nicely and dries matte. I πŸ’Ÿ this liquid lipstick, it’s my favourite out of all of my lipsticks. πŸ’„

Revolutions New Pro Glow highlighter palette. These colours are so beautiful and shimmery. I particularly like the gold shades as I haven’t tried these in a highlighter before.

      And finally…

Niveas intensive hydration after sun moisturiser. We discovered this on our honeymoon and it was perfect to apply after being in the sun all day and for making your skin feel really fresh and rich in moisture.

I love the smell of this too as it takes me right back to our honeymoon…ahhh β›±

      Next up, fashion.

I love this t-shirt from Primark. I love the stripes and the heart patch is super cute. This was only Β£5.

I’ve been wearing my new Havaianas a lot this month! We’ve had some pretty nice weather so these have been perfect and they are super comfy.

These were only Β£21 after my 10% discount, I got them in Office.

      Let’s talk books…

I love reading and it’s one of my favourite hobbies. These two I have particularly enjoyed and they are by two of my favourite authors.

The first one I’ll talk about is ‘That girl from nowhere’ by Dorothy Koomson.

‘Clemency Smittson was adopted as a baby and the only connection she has to her birth mother is a cardboard box hand-decorated with butterflies. Now an adult, Clem moves to Brighton, where she was born, and meets someone who knows all about the butterfly box and what happened to her birth parents.’

This was one of the books I read on our honeymoon and I couldn’t put it down!

I’d also recommend her novel ‘Goodnight, beautiful’ that I read this month too.

I am currently reading ‘See me’ by Nicholas Sparks. I’m up to chapter 8 and I’m loving it already, his novels are just so easy to read.

‘Colin Hancock is giving his second chance his best shot. At 28, he’s focused on getting his teaching degree and avoiding all the places and people that proved so destructive in his past. The last thing he’s looking for is a serious relationship. But when he crosses paths with Maria Sanchez one rainswept night, his carefully structures life is turned upside down.’

      And finally, food!

A couple of food items that I’ve really been enjoying this month both come from Aldi. This is where we do our weekly shop so I just picked these up to give them a try and ended up loving them.

This fizzy drink is Raspberry and Mint flavour, it is so refreshing and tastes so fresh and yummy.

The Granola squares in the picture above ☝ are super tasty! They are ‘Crispy oats & Honey Granola bites’ little squares of oaty goodness, be careful though, they are super moreish πŸ™Š

What have you been enjoying the month? Let me know 😎

      Until next time,

      Roseanne πŸ™‚

      Bank holiday blogΒ

So as you will know we had a bank holiday at the beginning of the week, a long weekend = happy Roseanne πŸ™‚

Here’s what I got up to..

      Friday evening

Me & my sister Sarah went to a Crumble magic party. It’s the same premise as body shop parties just with Crumble magic products.

Crumble magic is one of Sarahs in laws business and the candles she makes smell incredible. They are essentially ‘creative candle scents’

I love candles & smellies so I was in heaven 😍

My favourite scent that I picked up was the divine ‘Strawberry lemonade’ it smells lush and like real fizzy lemonade. I can’t wait to burn this one πŸ‘Œ

Check out Crumble magic on facebook or online here

      Saturday

We had a chilled out Saturday which is always a winner. Tim was off to the football with my dad so I went to watch ‘The BFG’ at our local Cineworld. I have been wanting to see this for a while so before it went out of the cinema I thought I’d go.

I really enjoyed the film, although it is definitely aimed more at children! (Big kid right here πŸ™Œ) It was a lovely representation of the book & funny too.

In the evening we went to our friends house for dinner & games. They have recently moved into their new place so it was lovely to see it & see how they are getting on with decorating. Their house is so lovely 🏑

Dinner was a delicious home cooked Shepards pie & afterwards we played a game of ‘Scotland Yard’.

All in all a great Saturday πŸ‘

      Sunday

On Sunday we had a busy but fun day. We started off by taking part in the Bubble run at one of the local parks, the course is 5K and included bubble/foam stations along the way!

It was lots of fun! The run was in aid of St Elizabeth hospice, so it was nice to do a bit of good too πŸ™‚

At 6 we went to the new trampolining place that has opened on Cardinal Park, it’s called Flux.

We went here with Tim’s work friends and had a great time, it was a bit different & a fun way to exercise too. I can’t wait to go back!

Afterwards we all went to Nandos for dinner, always a winner with me πŸ“πŸ—

      Monday

Monday was a lovely family day. My Auntie had come down to see this little fella…

      This is Casey James Parker, my new nephewβ™‘  24.08.16 9.53am 8lb 10.5oz

He is a beauty & I was lucky enough to witness him come into the world.

Lots of cuddles all round πŸ™‚

We took Noah & Casey for a walk to the park in the afternoon & then stopped off for dinner at KFC on the way home. I havnt had it in ages so it was a nice treat & Noah certainly enjoyed himself…

I hope you all had a fab bank holiday, roll on the next one πŸ˜‰

      Until next time,

      Roseanne πŸ™‚

      Today’s make up look 💄

I thought I would share today’s make up look! It’s quite a low key look, focusing on the eyes 👀

I apologise if the pictures aren’t great but I’m in the process of getting a new phone πŸ™‚

Disclaimer: I don’t claim to be good at applying make up, this is still relatively new to me but I’m really enjoying it and I love applying it all and trying  out different looks!

I’ll list the products I used for each part of the look.
      So here it is…

So, I started off by moisturising using my Olay Beauty Fluid. I apply this all over the face and rub it in.

Next up I applied my illuminator. I used Sleek Make ups Barekissed illuninator in the shade ‘Casablanca’. I applied this using a beauty blender.

It gives my skin a lovely glow.

Next up I applied my foundation layer, for a lighter finish today I used my BB cream. The BB cream I used is The body shop All-in-one BB cream Shade no 2.

After foundation I applied Concealer. I applied this under my eyes to hide any dark circles and on any spots or blemishes. I used a beauty blender to apply both my BB cream & Concealor.

The concealer I used was Collections lasting perfection concealor in shade no 2 ‘Cool medium’.

After concealor I did my blusher & highlighter 👑

I used Bourjois Paris blusher in shade 74 ‘Rose Ambre’. The highlighter I used is by Revolution and is one of their baked highlighters.

      Eyes!

I used a mix of palettes for this, I’ll pop a list below.

Before applying eyeshadow I use a primer, I would definatly recommend this as it makes the eyeshadow apply better & last longer. The primer I used was by Revolution, Focus & Fix eye primer.

I used a pale pink for the base, a shimmery pink in the crease, a dark brown/grey tone for the outer corner of the eye, a cream tone for the inner corners and a dark burgundy to add definition at the corners & under the lower lash line.

      Palettes used…

      • Revolutions Redemption palette Iconic 3
      • Maybellines The blushed nudes
      • Barry Ms Super Natural Eyeshadow palette Superdrug exclusive.

The Mascara I used is Dior’s ‘Diorshow’ Mascara in black.

      Next up eyebrows…

I get my eyebrows threaded and tinted so all I do is shape and fill them using my Maybelline brow satin in the shade ‘Medium brown’. I will be featuring this in my next Beauty haul blog but I would definatly recommend giving this product a go.

Finally, lips 💄 I love liquid lipsticks but this time I went for a lipstick with a matte finish.

This is a MAC lipstick in shade ‘Pink plaid’. I got this from duty free on my recent holiday & I love this pinky tone. Pinks are defiantly my favourite when it comes to most make up items 🌸🌹

I used my Revolution Pro fix Oil control Fixing Spray at the end to make the make up last longer.

      Here’s the final look πŸ™‚

If you have any questions about the products I used let me know and I’ll try my best to answer them 👍

      Until next time,

      Roseanne πŸ™‚

      Stationary haul 📒✏📌

Who doesn’t love stationary?! I thought I’d share my recent haul from high street shops & supermarkets.

I’ll include photos, prices & the shops that they came from 👍 Let’s start…

      Wilko

This cute storage box was only Β£3.00 in Wilko. I like to keep any letters, cards, tickets, basically memories in these so that I can keep them safe and look back through them. I love pastel colours 🌸

This little ring bind note book is super cute! It was only Β£1.25 ! I love the tagline ‘You got this’. This is going to be really useful at work to write down my daily tasks/to do lists.

This One sentence a day diary is so cute! Such a nice idea, you only write one sentence to sum up your day, much quicker than having to write everything you’ve done & it helps you to capture the main points of the day.

It comes with a little bag to keep it in which says My diary, its pocket size which is really handy 👍 This was Β£2.00.

      Tesco

I picked up this lovely journal, cream with gold spots, from Tesco for under Β£10. This is great for jotting down blog post ideas.

      SHARPIES! !

I love a Sharpie and Tesco always do awesome offers on these during the Back to school season, I missed out last year I wasn’t going to make the same mistake again.

This pack has a huge variety of colours (30 in total) & is limited edition. For the set it cost Β£8 which is half the usual retail price, bargin! As a TA these are really useful to have in your stationary collection.

These next two items I didn’t buy myself, I received them as gifts, but I thought I’d include them in this stationary haul as they are super cute & very handy.

This is the Sticky notes Memo set, its’s great because it has 8 pads of decorated sticky memo notes. As you can see they are all different sizes which makes them really handy for lots of different things.

I love the floral design and style of this memo pad set, very Cath Kidston Esque!

      and finally…

This Daisy biro is from Tiger. It’s really cute and will be great for use at work, the kids will love it! I mean who doesn’t love a novelty pen aye?!

So that was my stationary haul, I think I need to steer clear of stationary shops for a while though as it gets quite addictive buying new bits and bobs.

      Until next time,

      Roseanne πŸ™‚

      Nails 💅 Mermaid inspiration 🐟

I’m suprise I havn’t done one of these before as I love nail varnishes and have a rather extensive collection.  I recently sorted it out into usable ones & thought I would give my nails a break from acrylics by doing my own nails.

I keep seeing lots of mermaid inspired nail art online and thought I would have a go at my own twist on them.

I’m not very good at drawing on intricate designs so I modified it to match my own ability! Haha.

I used these three colours as my base…

      • BarryM Coconut infusion in a mint green
      • BarryM ‘Cyan blue’
      • BarryM Effects edition ‘Lilac foil’

I applied the green first as I would any mail polish and waited for this to dry.

Once it was dry I used a cotton pad to pat on the blue & purple colours like so…

Once I had done all the base colours I moved onto glitter…

      • BarryM aquarium collection ‘treasure chest’
      • BarryM aquarium collection ‘Atlantis’

These glitters were perfect for this nail look and being fron BarryMs aquarium collection was very apt!

I popped the gold on first, followed by the pinky glitter.

I love both these glitters as they have a mixture of small & large bits of glitter in them.

The pinky one is fab for a ‘mermaid nail’ look as it had a lovely mix of pinks, purples, blues, teals & silver, perfect 💜

You’ll have to excuse my nails, with nice long nails this would look even better.

I hope you enjoyed this little nail tutorial. Let me know if you have a go or have tried something similar 👍

      Until next time,

      Roseanne πŸ™‚

      ROTD: Pancakes 🍓🍌

I thought I would share a delicious recipe with you,  quick, easy & a great way to start the day!

      Here goes…

      Ingredients:

      • 2oz Plain flour
      • 1 Med egg
      • 100ml Skimmed milk (or semi)
      • 50 ml Water
      • Fry light
      • Fruit of your choice
      • syrup

      Recipe:

      1. whisk eggs then add water and milk

      2. sift in flour then mix well

      3. fry in the fry light

I chose strawberries, banana & raspberries as my fruit. These are so delicious on pancakes 😋

      Ta Da!…

      So yummy πŸ™‚

To add a little extra deliciousness to my pancakes I drizzled them with this…

Sweet Freedoms Fruit Syrup. It’s a nice alternative to golden syrup and does just as good a job, plus it’s natural so it’s a bit better for you too!

Seriously, can a day really be bad if it starts with pancakes?

      Go on, treat yourself! β˜†

      Until next time,

      Roseanne πŸ™‚

      OOTD: Summer casual Β

I’ve included pictures of each item, where they are from and prices, enjoy.

      Here it is…

Camo print tee with badges, Primark Β£6.

Longline black bomber jacket, Boohoo Β£10.

Acid wash ripped jeans, Primark Β£13.

I turned these up a bit to make them look more summery & so you can see my sandals and anklet better.

Black sandals with gold detail & tassels, Primark Β£5.

Bourjois Rouge Velvet in shade ‘Beau Brum’ Β£8.99.

      All together…

      Total cost; Β£42.99.
