Blogmas 2019 Day Twenty Five: Christmas Eve pt 2 πŸŽ„

Let me just start by saying Merry Christmas! I hope you all have the best christmas day with your loved ones. Eat, drink, be merry and care free.

Christmas eve pt 2

The evening

Here is the second half of our Christmas Eve adventures.

Our tradition, and one of my absolute favourites, is our Christmas lights tour of our home town.

We have usual hot spots that we visit each year but I also like to keep an eye out, in the few weeks leading up to Christmas, for any other lights that would be good to drive by.

My twin sister Sarah usually comes but she wasnt able to this time as she was working so my husband drove us, mum, and my two nephews around.

Once we had seen our share of lights we headed back to the boys house and gave them their Christmas eve boxes.

Once they had munched on some chocolate, it was time for Christmas PJs, setting up for Santa C and a festive bedtime story.

I got my two nephews and niece matching Christmas pjs, the same print but the boys were blue and Evie’s were pink.

They were lovely, and only Β£7 each from Asda.

I got them all a size up so they can have them for next year too.

All ready for Santa! πŸ’™πŸŽ…πŸ»

Once the boys had listened to ‘The Night Before Christmas’ story and gone to sleep we settled down to have our Nachos and watch some Christmas tv.

We watched ‘Father Christmas’ and the Christmas Eve episode of Eastenders ready for tomorrow.

It was nice to chill after a fun but busy day!

& of course when I got home I had to get ready for Santa myself…

That’s it for another year of Blogmas, it goes by quicker every year!!

25 days, 25 festive posts, Done.

πŸŽπŸŽ„ Merry Christmas! πŸŽ„πŸŽ

Christmas traditions! The end of Blogmas.

Christmas day is finally here! The day we’ve all been waiting for, I can’t believe blogmas is now over for another year.

I thought since alot of our Christmas traditions take place on Christmas Eve that I would tell you about them today for my final blogmas post.

1. Christmas eve drive to look at Christmas lights

Every Christmas eve for the last 5 or so years me and Tim have gone on a drive to look at the Christmas lights around our home town. It’s so festive and makes me feel really christmassy because we do it every Christmas eve so you know it’s almost the big day. Mum usually comes too and this year my sister Sarah & nephew Noah joined us too.

2. Christmas eve bags

Every Christmas eve we have little bags with treats in. This year we had chocolate orange segsations, christmas socks, hot chocolate and Christmas hats.

For Noahs bag I added some chocolate straws, a Christmas craft set, Christmas colouring book & crayons.

I didn’t want to leave Casey out so I got him a little Christmas shirt and a toy reindeer. It was so cute everytime the reindeer sang he smiled and hugged it 😍

3. A Christmas film

You have to watch at least one Christmas film and this Christmas eve we went for Home Alone. It was ok, I quite enjoyed it but I wouldn’t go crazy for it like some people do. I was also having a lot of fun with  Noah so I did miss a bit of the story tbf.

4. Christmas attire Christmas jumpers, all cosy! Hats, earrings, christmas socks, anything Christmassy is perfect to get you in the spirit.

5. Treats for Santa, Christmas pjs & stockings

Santa of course needs fuel for his busy night so I left him out a mince pie & a nice cold glass of diet coke. I also left a Carrot for Rudolph. Before bed I had a nice hot shower, put on fresh Christmas pjs (& our Christmas duvet cover) and left my stocking out for Santa! All ready for him to come πŸŽ…

I love Christmas traditions, they are always the best bits of the festive season and make it feel so magical & special.

Its the most magical time of the year!

In my beauty advent calender today…

I got a full sized eyeshadow palette. This is a really nice one and really useful for mixing and creating different looks.

I hope you’re all enjoying your Christmas day! That’s it for another Blogmas.

My day off!Β

I love watching daily vlogs on Youtube so I thought I would do a blog post about my day!

Our school had a PD day on Friday which meant a 3 day weekend! YES!!

There was only one way to start that day, lazing in bed followed by a trip to the Tesco below our flat to pick up breakfast.

I’m loving that our Tesco now has a Costa coffee machine! Caramel latte all the way β˜•

I also picked up some sausages, eggs and mushrooms for breakfast πŸ˜‹

Delicious!

I spent the rest of the morning not doing very much and catching up on programmes that I had fallen behind with (4 weeks of Home & Away to watch πŸ™ˆ)

In the afternoon I walked into town to meet my sister Sarah and my nephews Noah & Casey.

We did a spot of Christmas shopping first…

It was the first time I had seen the Christmas lights on and it felt very christmassy.

After that we headed to the swimming pool. Noah & Casey both love swimming and I’ve only been once with Casey so it was nice to go in with him again β™‘

Little cutie! although his face says why have you laid me down here! πŸ™Š

After lots of splashing, floating, slide and wave machine fun we got out and once we were dressed we decided to head to Costa to warm up.

Me and Sarah both got our favourite festive drink, the mint hot chocolate.

I also got their lemon tart too, it’s so yummy and zingy.

Sarah tried their festive gingerbread muffin which has a cute iced gingerbread man on top…

A fun way to spend my day off and I love that I still have 2 days left before I’m back to work πŸ™†

P.s, I can’t not mention… IT’S A MONTH UNTIL CHRISTMAS #sorrynotsorry

Until next time,

Roseanne πŸ™‚
