Fantastic Beasts and the Crimes of Grindelwald ⚡

As you may, or may not have seen, the new Fantastic Beasts film has recently come out in cinemas.

Me & my twin sister Sarah LOVE Harry Potter and were very excited about this new release.

This is the second film in the new series of magical movies from JK’s Wizarding World.

The last film came out in 2016 so this has been highly anticipated…

…. & it didn’t disappoint.

We couldn’t go to the Midnight showing that our local cinema put on, like last time, but I did notice that they had a special preview showing on the Wednesday before it was officially released.

The preview was a double bill, the first film followed by the latest one, SO exciting.

With our Florida Gryffindor jumpers on (From Diagon Alley, Universal!!) Gryffindor scarfs, and a Starbucks in hand we settled down to watch the latest instalment.

The film was fantastic (No pun intended!) and was a brilliant sequel to the last one, much darker and with lots more detail into the Wizarding world and the story of Grindelwald, Dumbledore & the Lestrange family, all headed up by the adorable Newt Scamamder, the hilarious Jacob and quirky Queenie.

Definatly worth a watch! 👍🏻

We will give going again for sure!

*But remember #protecthesecrets

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂

Holiblog: Florida edition pt 2

Universal Studios

🌎

One of (if not the main) reason why we chose Florida was to visit Universal Studios.

If you know me and my twin sister, or have read some of my previous posts you may know that we like Harry Potter… ALOT! So, making it to Universal and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter was a dream for us, for quite a while.

I still can’t believe, as I’m writing this, that we’ve actually been.

And yes, it’s every bit as epic as you can imagine (& then some) because I really think it’s one of those places that you can’t quite imagine until you are there.

Universal has three parks, Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure are the theme parks 🎢 and separate is Volcano Bay which is a water park 🌊

Islands of adventure homes Hogwarts, Hogsmede village, Seuss Landing, Juarssic Park, Superhero city, King Kong and loads more!

Universal Studios homes Diagon Alley, The Simpson’s, Transformers, Men in black, Minions, Shrek etc etc.

The rides are brilliant and, not just that, the queues!!

You never really feel like you are queuing up for ages because everything is so well themed.

The Harry Potter queues were EPIC.

You got to go through Hogwarts as you wait for ‘Harry Potter & the forbidden journey’

And you go through Gringotts bank as you wait for ‘Harry Potter & the escape from Gringotts’

The attention to detail is incredible, it’s just all so well done.

Even if you aren’t a Harry Potter fan you would love it.

It was so cool to go through Hogsmeade, visit the shops, have food in the eateries (just like in the books!!) Travel on the Hogwarts express and Shop in Diagon Alley. It’s just amazing.

The Hogwarts express train takes you from one park to the over so although you can walk this is a lovely way to go.

I will go into a bit more detail about the Harry potter section in a later post as me and my sister had a day at the Harry Potter parts 😁

Some of my other favourite parts of Universal include ‘Seuss Landing’

This is all themed like the different books by Dr Seuss, such as The Grinch, Cat in the Hat, Sneeches, Green eggs & ham etc.

It was absolutely brilliant. So colourful and fun you couldn’t help but enjoy yourself in there. We had a lovely lunch in The Circus Mcgurkis too which was fun as one of the rides goes through the restaurant.

This was a big hit with my nephews, very child friendly and as I said, lots of fun!

I also loved The Simpson’s area; ‘Springfield’ this again was so well done. The roads and decorations were all done in a cartoon style so you really felt like you were walking through the Simpson’s.

There were loads of the iconic shops like Moes Tavern, The Kwik i Mart, Lard Lad doughnuts etc. It was great. The Simpson’s rides was also one of my favourites too.

Universal have loads of Simulator rides which are fantastic, you really feel like you are in the experience whether it be the Simpson’s, Harry Potter, Spiderman. If you are a fan of 3D/4DX simulators then you’ll love these. They were great for me as I am a bit of a wimp when it comes to rollercoasters haha.

One of our favourite things about Universal was the refillable cups that they had on offer. You paid to buy it and then you could refill it as many times as you want! The machines had LOADS of different beverages with so many flavours. Each day you had to re activate it but it was cheaper to do so and when you are spending the whole day there it saves you alot of money.

It was a god send in the August heat!!

Universal was so easy to get to from our Hotel, we could walk in 30mins, although it wasn’t always advisable in the heat with small children, especially at certain times of the day (but we did go in August!!)

Our hotel also had a free shuttle to Universal and there were free shuttles to Volcano bay too which was super handy.

Volcano Bay

We spent an afternoon at Volcano bay water park and it was really good fun.

It’s quite a new park.

It was super easy to get to as I said and once you were there, there was lots to do.

You get these cool Tapu Tapu wristbands that allow you to book a space on a slide so you never have to queue, you just get notified of when there is a space!

We loved the lazy river 🌊

The Volcano at the centre of the park was really impressive and although I was too much of a wimp to try out the hideously high slides coming from it, it did look really cool.

We could even see it smoking from our hotel a few miles away haha.

It looked really cool lit up at night.

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂

Harry Potter Gobstone Alley box ⚡

One of the coolest gifts that I got for my birthday in May was a Harry Potter box of goodies. I recently received this from my friend and had to share it with you guys.

There are loads of Subscription boxes out there that are Harry Potter themed and they are also available as a one off box too, which is what I received.

So let’s take a look!

I love the detail that’s on each item, packaging and the box itself…

Inside the box…

You get a Umbridge proclamation with a list of all of the items in your box…

20180625_224933.jpg

• Wooden, Dumbledores Army coaster

•Cosy Elves Umbridge themed tea

•Umbridge pocket mirror

•A box of Bertie Botts beans

•Incendio Sherbet lemon candle

•Deathly Hallows pin badge

•Dragons Blood vial prop

•Prefect bathroom bath salts

•Harry Potter trading cards

•Chocolate frog card ~Severus Snape

• Order of the Phoenix Tshirt

The attention to detail, cute packaging and super cool items are perfect for any Harry Potter fan! These boxes make a GREAT gift ⚡

I love it.

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂

Harry Potter room decor ⚡

Hi guys!

So, I had a couple of ideas of what to do for my next blog post but, I couldn’t decide which to do next. I took to Twitter (@RoseannesBlog) and asked my followers which one they would like to see, With a massive 75% of the vote was ‘Harry Potter room decor’.

When we moved into our flat my husband Tim chose the colour scheme for our bedroom and he went for red… little did he know that I would use this to transform it into a Harry Potter haven haha.

With Gryffindor being my favoured Hogwarts house this is the theme I went for as it went perfectly with the red colour scheme of the room, Lets take a look!

Lets start with bedding…

All of these pieces come from Primark (Bar one pillow which I received as a gift) On the left is my Harry Potter throw, its a lovely soft and snuggly white with the Gryffindor crest and other little pictures and symbols printed on it. Next up are the cushions, the pale, yellowy/brown coloured Mauraders map themed pillow was bought for me as a birthday present a few years ago. I love that it looks like the parchment of the map, with the print of the map on it. The other pillow is from Primark and its grey and red tones with the house crests on it. The bedding is so cool! Our bedroom furniture is from Ikea’s Malm range and is black so this bedding went perfectly. On one side it is all black with a large print of Hogwarts in white, the other side has small Hogwarts’s (Not sure that’s a word) printed onto white and a ‘H’ for Hogwarts, double sided, two for the price of one.

Next up…

I picked up both of these from the Harry Potter studios tour in Watford. On the left is a Gryffindor banner and on the right is a Gryffindor flag. These are hung up on the red feature wall, either side of the window.

20180208_180746

I also hang up my Gryffindor scarf over the headboard of our bed to add a touch of Gryffindor to the bed spread. I picked this up from the studio tour too.

Pictures…

I love these two prints. On the left is one from Primark that my older sister bought for me. I love this and it fitted perfectly in our room as it came with the black frame. I love the copper lightening bolts.

The other print I bought online and I really like the simplicity of this too. All black and super simple but cool.

and finally, accessories…

I love these pieces, they are so awesome!! The candle is from Primark. I of course picked up the Gryffindor one but it also comes in the different houses too and a generic Hogwarts one (which I’m also tempted to get too) The bunting also comes from Primark and is EPIC! This is one of my favourite things.

The Gryffindor common room sign came from a recent Harry Potter event that me and my sister went to. I thought this was a cool little addition as our room definatly has Gryffindor common room/dormitory vibes! (Still trying to persuade Tim that we need drapes)

I hope you enjoyed this post 🙂

If you are on the look out for any Harry Potter items yourself (or clothes, shoes etc) be sure to check out Primark as their range is beyond awesome.

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂

What I got for Christmas 2017! 🎁

Hi guys!

Let me start by saying HAPPY NEW YEAR! ITS OFFICIALLY 2018, CRAZY!

I hope that you guys had a great Christmas. I love watching and reading what people got for Christmas so I thought that I should share with you what I received.

This isn’t meant to be me bragging about what I got, I just thought that it would be fun to do!

So, lets take a look…

Books

IMG_20180110_211817_073

Jamie Oliver’s 5 ingredients: Quick & Easy food.

This is a cook book with lots of super easy and yummy ideas. I love the idea that there are only five ingredients for each recipe, it really puts me off when there is a massive list of ingredients, ain’t nobody got time for that!

Fantastic beasts and where to find them, by J K Rowling.

I also received the illustrated version of J K Rowling’s Fantastic beasts and where to find them. The pictures are beautiful and this book works so well with pictures, perfect! ⚡️

Make up

IMG_20180110_220101_808.jpg

I was very lucky this year with my make up haul. My lovely hubby bought me Tanya Burrs ‘Beauty and the feast’ make up box and it is AWESOME. It is full of great products from palettes for the eyes and face, highlighter, lipsticks and lipglosses. My  friend Demi works for Dior and gave me some cool samples to try out as well as a lovely pinky NYX lipstick. I also got another NYX lipstick this one is a liquid lipstick in the shade ‘Istanbul’.

IMG_20180110_211929_862.jpg

IMG_20180110_220135_344.jpg

Skincare/bath products

IMG_20180110_220214_559

IMG_20180110_220231_743

I was very lucky to also receive the Zoella pamper box set. You get a brilliant selection of products in there, perfect for a pamper. I love the Snowella scent, its really fresh. I especially like the scent in the hand cream.

In the box you get…

  • The Winter Wonderhand Hand cream
  • Body puff
  • Snow silky body lotion
  • Snow polished body polish
  • Snow smooth body butter
  • X2 Sachets of a ‘splash of milk’ bath milk powder

The box is really lovely too, perfect for storage once you’ve used the products.

IMG_20180110_220150_959.jpg

The Body Shop shower gel. I really love these body shop shower gels, the seasonal scents are lovely. I really enjoyed the pumpkin and sweet vanilla scent in Autumn and in Winter they have released this one, Frosted berries. It smells so fruity and delicious.

IMG_20180110_211853_401

LUSH is one of my favourite shops and I LOVE their bath bombs. This year I got a few different things from LUSH that I havn’t had before and a few that I have.

My sister got me my favourite LUSH product off all time, ‘The Comfort.er’ bubble bar. A super fruity scent that creates the most awesome bubbles

I also got the Butterbear bath bomb which is lovely and soft on your skin, with cocoa butter.

My hubby got me one of LUSH’S new body sprays, the one he got me is called ‘Twilight’ This is supposed to help you sleep and the predominant fragrance is Lavender, it smells so soothing and makes you feel relaxed and cosy. I spray this before bed and use alongside ‘Sleepy’ the body lotion.

In the colourful set above,  the ‘Intergalactic’ bath set, you get the ‘Thundersnow’ bath bomb, The ‘Shoot for the stars’ bath bomb and the ‘Intergalactic’ bath bomb. I can’t wait to try these out!

Other…

IMG_20180110_211833_109.jpg

I also received some vouchers. A Primark Voucher, my favourite shop! I’m looking forward to spending that! Me and the hubby also got a Nando’s voucher, we cant wait to go on a date night and use that too, we love a cheeky Nando’s.

InkedIMG_20180110_215943_580_LI.jpg

My father In law (knowing the avid Harry Potter fan that I am) got me two tickets to the Harry Potter book night at our local museum. Me and my sister tried to get tickets for this event last year but it sold out! We can’t wait to go, the place is decorated, everyone dresses up and you have activities, food, Harry Potter themed cocktails and so on. Its going to be so much fun!

terry's2-xlarge_trans++4cHFBfxHqfroyKoKkNhhsIOb6wYDoBFLKDEGDsm5ADg

Is it even Christmas if you don’t ett a Terry’s chocolate orange!?!? These are my ultimate fave, a Christmas must have and a great stocking filler too. Mine didn’t make it past Christmas day haha.

So those are just a few of the lovely pressies that I got for Christmas this year (or technically last year!! So confusing)

I hope you enjoyed this blog post! I’m going to have to start a list of some blog posts I’d like to write in the coming weeks/months, it was so easy throughout December to create Christmassy and festive posts but now I really need to get thinking about my 2018 content, its so much harder without such a blatent theme.

Any suggestions would be greatly welcome guys!

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂

The Harry Potter tag ☇

So, being the massive Harry Potter
Fan that I am I thought that I would do the Harry Potter tag. For those of you who don’t know what this is its just a list of questions either about you, or a certain topic, that you answer. I just typed ‘Harry Potter tag into Google to obtain these questions.

To make it a bit more fun I asked my twin sister Sarah (my fellow Harry Potter enthusiast) her Husband Dan and my Husband Tim to answer the questions with me. I’ve used the abbreviations R for me (Roseanne) S for Sarah, D for Dan & T for Tim.

Let’s get into it!

1. Which is your favourite book?

R- Definatly book no 1, the philosophers stone. It’s so darn magical.

S- Book 1, the philosophers stone.

T- Book 4, the goblet of fire

D- The first one.

2. Which is your least favourite book?

R- Mine is probably book no 5, the order of the phoenix just because i found a few chapters in the middle quite boring #grawp

S- Yeah the same, Order of the Phoenix because I hate Umbridge.

T- Book 1, the philosophers stone! (I couldn’t believe it when he said that! 😱)

D- The chamber of secrets.

3. Which is your favourite film?

R- 100% the first film for how magical it is and for the fact that it introduces you to the magical world. Like it serioudly makes me smile everytime I watch it (& think ‘Why can’t it be real!!’) and also the Deathly Hallows pt2 as this is where it all ends, it ties it all together nicely and is flipping epic.

S- Same as Roseanne 👍 The Philosphers Stone & The Deathly Hallows pt2

T- The Goblet Of Fire!

D- The last one.

4. Which is your least favourite film?

R- My least favourite is the Prisoner of Azkaban. I just don’t like the way it’s so different from the first couple, even some of the scenery and layout of Hogwarts changes, that annoys the continuity freak in me haha.

S- The Deathly Hallows Pt1 because it’s basically Harry Potter goes camping.

T- The Chamber of secrets, It’s just not as good as the others.

D- Probably the prisoner of Azkaban.

5. Favourite quote…

R- ‘It is our choices that show us what we truly are far more than our abilities’ either that or ‘Not my daughter you bitch’ 😂

S- ‘It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live’ I’ve actually got this tattooed on my foot.

T-  I don’t have one… 🙈

D- I don’t know any quotes tbh!

Seriously guys!!! 😱

6. Favourite Weasley?

R- legit Fred and George, they are awesome.

S- Fred and George, cause they are twins and their mischievous and it’s really sad when one of them dies 😭

T- Fred and George.

D- I spose Fred cause he has that joke shop. (Poor George!!)

7. Favourite female character?

R- I love Molly Weasley, she’s great! Such a lovely motherly figure, kind, stern, funny and loyal. All hail mamma Weasley!

S- Molly Weasley because she’s awesome and she’s a nice mum to Harry even though he’s not hers.

T- Ginny Weasley, I don’t think Hermione is very interesting and she’s the other main female.

D- I only know Hermione so her I spose.

8. Favourite make character?

R- Snape! He’s a great character, so much depth.

S- Dumbledore because he’s DUMBLEDORE!!

T- Snape.

D- Male, urm Dumbledores brother, he’s like an unsung hero at the end isn’t he.

9. Who do you think is the best villain?

R- It’s got to be Voldemort, he is pure evil, creepy as hell and just terrifying.

S- Snape! Because you hate him the whole way through when all along he was just good.

T- Draco, he’s just a bit pathetic isn’t he!?!

D- I’ll go for Track.

10. Which Deathly Hallow would you choose?

R- The invisibility cloak, the others are wayyy too dangerous really.

S- The invisibility cloak, cause then you can see what people are saying about you and freak people out. And you can get into places for free!!

T- The invisibility cloak, the other ones are kinda useless in the real world. (R- Harry Potter is real?! T- No its not Roseanne #sadface)

D- The cloak of invisibility.

11. Who is your favourite professor?

R- Mcgonagall! She’s a badass.

S- Mcgonagall.

T- Not sure, maybe Snape?

D- Urm, Professor Moody, cause he’s a bit different isn’t he.

12. What house do you think you would be In?

R- Probably Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw.

S- Possibly Gryffindor or Ravelclaw.

T- Gryffindor.

D- Gryffindor.

13. What is your Pottermore house?

R- Ravenclaw.

S- Ravenclaw.

T- I can’t remember!! (R- Wasnt it Hufflepuff? T- I’m not sure tbh)

D- Havnt got one.

14. Which would your favourite lesson be?

R- Charms I think, just because it’s the standard lesson and it would be cool to learn all the spells.

S- Charms.

T- Transfiguration.

D- Learning to fly!

15. Who is your favourite Marauder?

R- Mine is definatly Remus Lupin. He’s the nicest one, in a group of friends he reminds me of me. Plus I named my Guinea pig after him 👊

S- Lupin.

T- Sirius, He’s cool.

D- Professor Lupin because  he’s a werewolf.

So, that’s our Harry Potter tag! I hope you enjoyed 😀☇

Until next time,

June favourites 💖

I love favourites posts/videos so here’s mine for the month of June 🙂

Let’s start with beauty…

Mac lipstick in the shade ‘Twig

This is a satin finish lipstick, this colour is a beautiful nudey, pinky/plum colour. It’s a lovely shade as I don’t have anything like it and it stays on really well. It works really well for an everyday or a night out make up look.

Sanctuary body washes

I got a set of these from someone at work for my birthday and they are lovely! The scents are so fresh and clean and the consistency of the product is so smooth and makes you feel so clean and your skin super soft.
Tanya Burr face illuminator

This is perfect for the summer time and a beauty staple to add a lovely glow to your make up look! I like to put a pump of this on with my bb cream or foundation to add a lovely shine/glow. This works really well with a goldy, shimmery, bronze make up look! So keep coming sunshine 🌞
Sleek face palette

I bought this palette a little while ago but I have been using it alot recently and loving it! Contouring is quite new to me but I’m loving incorporating it into my summer make up routine for a more bronzy, glowy look.

This contour shade is lovely and warm but not too dark, great for my skin tone. The blusher is really nice as it has flecks of gold running through it, So pretty and the highlighter is a gorgeous champagne colour.

The Real Techniques contour brush is brilliant too, the shape is perfect for adding definition to your cheek bones.

Barry M Aquarium collection nail varnish

I am loving this nail varnish by Barry M, it is from their Aquarium collection and is the shade ‘Mediterranean’.
It’s a lovely shimmery, irridescent, goldy copper colour, a definite metallic vibe which is very ‘in’ at the mo. It looks lovely when the sun hits it and at different angles it looks like lots of different colours, So pretty!

Food/drink

Skinny SF caramel iced lattes

These are SOOO delicious 👌 I originally thought the idea of cold coffee was so gross but I tried it again the other day and its so tasty. It’s super refreshing for the summer time with the delicious coffee taste. These work well on Slimming World too which is great and they are super easy to make at home too 👍

Milk chocolate mikado

I have absolutely been loving these this month as a chocolatey biscuit treat and on Slimming World they are only 0.5 syn each or your daily 15 syns for the whole box (if you wanna go crazy!) They are delicious and come in a couple of other flavours inc Daim & white choc.
Other…

I am loving the new front covers, for the first Harry Potter book, to celebrate 20 years of Harry Potter.
They have released the first book with four new covers, each representing a Hogwarts house, with the cover being the colour of the house, with the house crest on the front. I went for the Gryffindor one and I picked one up for my sister Sarah too. I had to get one to add to my collection, I would love them all but I don’t think I need four more copies of the first book!☇🦁🐍🦅🐼

So those are my favourites for June 👍

What have you guys been loving?!

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂

Fantastic beasts & where to find them Midnight screening ☇🎥

As I’ve mentioned on here me and my twin sister Sarah are BIG Harry Potter fans and so the release of a film from the Harry Potter franchise was very exciting.

We decided to go to the midnight showing at our local cineworld.

We went for dinner at Byron burger, this is one of the new resturant in the newly refurbished Buttermarket shopping centre in my home town.

The interior is really cool…

And fhe food was delicious…

I had the ‘Clucky’ chicken burger which was full of yummy guacamole and pickles. Sarah went for the veggie bean burger.

We also went for a couple of sides, courgette fries & onion rings with garlic alioli dip 👌

Once we’d eaten we made our way to The cinema…

We were very excited!!

Adorned with HP tops and Gryffindor scarfs with butterbear frappicinos in hand we headed into the screen!!!!!

My verdict… ☆☆☆☆☆

It was amazing. Of course it is a different story to Harry Potter with different characters but it is set in the same magical world that all Potter fans know and love with a new and exciting plot and awesome characters that add more detail to an already amazing franchise.

Written by JK Rowling it fits in perfectly as a prequel to the original Harry Potter series (those Harry Potter marathons just got more epic) The mention of characters from the Harry Potter franchise just make it more viable and exciting and you learn more about JKs incredible magical world and the beasts that inhabit it.

I would 100% recommend giving this a watch 👌☇

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂

Primark haul

I can’t believe I haven’t done one of these yet, anyone who knows me knows that I ❤️ a bit of Primark, so I thought I’d do a post on my recent purchase.

Here goes, first up Shoes! 👟

These are so cool! Harry Potter and Converse, two of my favourite things ⚡️⚡️

I live in Converse and the burgundy colour is great too. Super comfy.

These were £8.

These slip on pumps are great as they work for casual use and are also super comfy for work too. They come in lots of different colours, I grabbed them in the light grey, dark grey & greymarl, which is grey with darks specks in it.

These are £4.

Next up, pyjamas! 👚

I love Primarks range of Harry Potter pyjamas. They are sold separately but some of the tops and bottoms match. These two match and the bottoms are super comfy and cuffed F the bottom. The top is cool and in the style of an American style baseball top with the slogan ‘Don’t let the muggles get you down.’

The bottoms were £8 and the top was £7.

I also got the vest top with the Marauders map design on it. This one is £4.50.

Tops…

This top is so cute and awesome. I of course 💖 pizza and this top is really cool and comfy. It was only £3 reduced from £6, bargain.

I also got a few other random bits…

I love this super cute material shopping bag ‘Happiccino-A happy cappuccino.’ 🙂

So cute☕️ £1.50

And finally,

Since I wear lots of slip on trainers & low top Converse these are great as they stop the slipping. They are really comfy too.

These are £2.50 for a pack of two.

So those are my purchases! I hope you enjoyed viewing my bargains  👛
Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂
