Halloween fun! 👻🦇

Hi guys 👋🏻

I love Halloween! So I thought I would share with any of my fellow Halloween fans out there, what I’ve been up to this spooky season!

Let’s take a look…

What have you been up to this Spooky Season?

Halloween ‘Boo baskets’ for kids 🎃

Hi guys 👋🏻🦇

October is here and that can mean only one thing!!

Halloween 🎃

I love a bit of Halloween, mainly because bats are my favourite animals, and it’s their time to shine, but also because I love a good horror film and I just love the spooky, autumn aesthetic.

Each year, I make a little Halloween hamper of sorts for my Nephews and Niece, and since the whole ‘Boo basket’ trend is going around, I thought I’d do my kids’ take on one…

Here they are!

Ideas for fun things to include…

Firm favourites with kids at the moment… slime! And fidget poppers. Both of these are only a few pounds in Tesco.

A cute little Halloween themed teddy. One of my nephews loves spiders, so I’m sure he will love that. Then I got the cute little pumpkin for my nievlce and the cute little frankie for my other nephew.

Some fun little cups which I’m sure they’ll get lots of use out of!

I also like to get them something to do or something crafty. These little ‘Paint your own wooden characters’ Halloween themed, of course, are from Asda for 2 (each pack has 2 characters inside!)

And finally…

Some edible goodies!

What’s Halloween without a sugar overload 😅🤣

I picked up the good old classic Freddos from Tesco in a multipack, and the Halloween chocolate lollies are from Aldi.

Fingers crossed, they will enjoy these! Hopefully, this has given you some inspiration if you fancy putting one together, too.

Happy Halloween! 🎃

Until Next Time,

Roseanne 🙂

Where it all began… 11.06 16 💗✨️💍

Hi guys 👋🏻

It’s our 8 year wedding anniversary today! 💗💍

In August 2015, we started planning our wedding, and that is when I began ‘Roseanne’s blog’ to document our wedding planning & the big day!

So, heres a little look at our wonderful day 🥹

Some of my favourite things about our wedding day that we planned were:

•The venue – it was a converted barn that was beautiful, and we both fell in love with it the first time we visited. We just got this feeling that this was the place ♡ I loved the incorporation of all the old features of the barn in the venue, as well as the two separate rooms for the ceremony and reception. It was just perfect.

•The Colour scheme. My two favourite colours and I just love how they look together in all aspects from the flowers, centrepieces and decorations.

•The people involved in our day. It was so lovely spending the day with so many loved ones. We really enjoyed having some of our favourite people for both the bride & groom parties, that we chose together, as well as those doing the readings, photos/videos (which were family & friends) It all added to the day and made it so special.

•Our geeky touches that made the wedding ‘us’ from a Middle Earth wedding breakfast to Harry Potter wedding programs and a Honeydukes sweet shop at the Reception. I just loved adding all these little personal details to our day.

•Our Italian inspired food (Pizza & antipast!!) including our cake with authentic Italian decorations from Venice 😍

Birthday Fun 🎂🥳👯🏼‍♀️

Hi guys 👋🏻

A few weeks ago it was mine and my twin sisters’ 33rd birthday – woohoo! It actually fell on a Sunday which was the day we were actually born.

Here is how we spent our birthday weekend…

Saturday

We started off the Saturday with a delicious lunch at Revs. The sun was shining big time.

Me & Sarah (along with my husband Tim) met our friend Dan there.

Me & Sarah shared some delicious picky bits. The tater tots with garlic & chilli butter were INSANE. I was really impressed with all of the food and I’d love to go back.

We also had a bit of fun taking some photos in the photobooth ✌🏼

Once Tim and Dan had gone home me and Sarah went to Boom Battle Bar. We had a round of Mini Golf and did a spot of basketball on the machines. We each had a frozen cocktail each to round off the afternoon.

We picked up some smaller picky bits on our way home from town and ate those before having a nap (because, sun ☀️) and then went to the cinema. We watched ‘Fall Guy’ (with Tim too!) It was really good.

Sunday

Sunday was our actual birthday, so we decided to meet up for a nice brunch and do our usual present exchange together. We went to this lovely brunch spot along the waterfront – again, the sun was shining beautifully (we got very lucky with the weather!!)

Delicious!

Once we had eaten, our respective families got together at our Mum and Dad’s to open our presents from them.

Me & Sarah also got a little spontaneous birthday present for ourselves (pic below) 🙃

In the evening we enjoyed a nice family meal together with our older Sister, Mum, Dad, Brother in laws, Nephews, and Niece.

Here’s to year 34! Let’s see what it will bring 🎈⭐️

Until Next Time,

Roseanne 🙂

February Highlights ✨️

Hi guys 👋🏻

Well, that month flew by, didn’t it!

Here are my February highlights…

We started back doing our Parkruns this month! Happy with my time of 34.01 – here’s to getting back to it again 👟

Me and my twin sister Sarah organised our bestfriends baby shower. It went really well and everyone had a great time! Lots of delicious food, fun games, presents and laughs 👶

Pancake day! One of the best days in Feb 🥞 I managed to have two pancake meals, haha.

We celebrated Valentines Day this year with our traditional meal to a local Turkish restaurant. It was delicious as always.

As you may have see from my previous holiblog post, we went to Northern Italy for the Feb half term. It was brilliant. We did Verona, Lake Garda, Milan & Venice (again!)

We had a brilliant time, there was so much to see and it was beautiful. We were also mostly, pretty lucky with the weather.

Another great Italy adventure

🇮🇹

What’s been your February Highlight?

Here’s to a good March!

January Highlights ✨️

Hi guys! 👋🏻

I thought I would (try) doing a post a month called my monthly highlights. I thought this would be a good way to share what I’ve been up to. A little diary of sorts.

So, without further ado – here are my January highlights.

Our first film of the year, Disney’s Wish 🎥
Back to running on the track, at our running group! 🏃‍♀️
Testing out my new headphones that Tim got me. We’ve been doing lots of gaming this month!

Blogmas Day Sixteen: Present ideas for children 🎁

9 days to go!

I found a cute present idea for children, based around a little rhyme, and I thought that I would share it with you.

I actually saw it on a Tik Tok 🤣

Something they want, something to wear, something to read and something to share.

I thought this was a really cute idea and a nice easy way to give you a bit of structure to the present buying, as it’s so easy to get carried away.

I have done this for my Nephews and Niece this year.

Something they want

A little toy/teddy that they want.

Something to wear

I went gor jumpers as it’s very chilly atm.

Something to read

A book for them to read and enjoy.

And Something to share

A game (board/card game) etc

I really enjoyed looking for little bits and pieces for each part of the rhyme – its a really cute idea and makes shopping a little less stressful.

What do you think?

Until Next Time,

Roseanne 🙂

Blogmas Day Thirteen: Chocolate Christmas trees 🍫🎄

12 days until Christmas! – 12!!! Where is the time going.

So, lets make sure that we are fully in the festive spirit with another tasty (& super easy) Christmas recipe.

I made these with my nephews and we had lots of fun.

🎄 Chocolate Christmas Trees 🎄

Ingredients:

  • White Chocolate
  • Mini Kinder bars
  • Festive Sprinkles
  • Magic Stars
  • Green food colouring

+

  • Baking parchment

Method:

  1. Place a Kinder bar, vertical, at the bottom of your piece of parchment.
  2. Slowly melt your white chocolate, 30 second increments until it is all fully melted.
  3. Mix in some green food colouring.
  4. Mix until it forms a thick paste/dough.
  5. Roll out and cut into a triangle tree shape.
  6. Place the triangle on top of the Kinder bar leaving a bit sticking out the bottom as the stump.
  7. Leave to cool a little but don’t let it harden.
  8. Place a choc star on top and decorate with your festive sprinkles.
  9. Leave in the fridge to harden completely
  10. Enjoy!
They were a big hit!

Let me know how you get on if you give them a go!

Until Next Time,

Roseanne 🙂
