Blogmas Day Ten: Decorating My Reading Corner β„

Happy Day Ten of Blogmas!

Here’s a little sneak peek at how I’ve decorated my reading corner… I love fairy lights (any excuse!) And they look super cute with a few little other festive touches.

Super cosy!

Adding a few festive touches has made my reading corner even more cosy!

Annd I’ve even managed to not poke myself in the eye with one of the light up branches, whilst reading, so win win!

Books & Christmas = a pretty epic combo! πŸŽ„πŸ“š

Has anyone else decorated their reading areas?

Until Next Time,

Christmas decoration Haul:Blogmas day 1

Hi guys!

Blogmas I’m ready for ya! Day one, lets do this!

This first post is all about the decorations. I absolutely LOVEΒ homeware, adding those little (or big!) items that just make a room perfect, cosy & super pretty.

And what could be better than combining two of your favourite things,,, decorations & Christmas!!

Lets take a look at what I’ve got in my little Festive haul…

First up, we bought a new tree!

‘Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas treee’

Our current tree is a little worse for wear so we picked a new artificial one from Sainburys for Β£25. It is a 6ft green tree, not too encroaching, just right for our little lounge πŸ™‚

Next up, some decorations for said tree…

12 pack of glitter baubles; Mini gold star, shaker baubles.

These were also from Sainbury’s and were Β£6. These are so cute because they are mini and they will look so pretty when they are on the tree, contrasting with the green branches, And who doesn’t love glitter sprinkles?!?

6 pack of Christmas pudding bell baubles.

These Christmas pudding bells are super cute and look so festive hanging on the tree. I love the rustic feel to them, the little star cut out and their soft jingle. These were also from Sainbury’s and were Β£6.

Green glitter ball

Chunky green, glitter bauble.

This bauble is so pretty. Green is my absolute favourite colour (and not just because its super festive… although it helps haha) but also for the Autumnal feel , especially this shade of green.

Its quite a large bauble and is covered in fine dark green and gold glitter. It is then covered in emerald green sequins too. This is going to look so pretty when it catches the light.

It was also from Sainsbury’s and was Β£1.50.

‘We’re walking in the airrrr’

Flying snowman decoration.

This little guy is adorable and I love how he looks like he is flying through the sky! It kinda reminds me of the classic Christmas film ‘The Snowman’ plus he’s glittery!! winner.

This was Β£2.99 in a local garden centre.

GLITTER!

Bronze/Dark gold glitter maple leaf decoration.

This leaf decoration is quite simple but looks lovely in this bronzy/gold glitter. This is also quite autumnal but with a glittery, festive touch. This was 75p in Asda.

A letter to Santa

Felt Santa Claus letter hanging decoration

This little decoration is so cute, a little letter to Santa! Loving the festive colours too. This was Β£1 from Asda.

Lets move onto lights!

Gold star lights

These little lights are so cute. I love how they look like mini cookie cutters and I love the gold colour too, they give off a lovely warm glow when they are turned on.

Berrytastic!

Festive berry lights

These little lights are so cute. There are three different coloured bulbs, a warm yellow bulb, a iridescent white bulb and a festive, berry red bulb. These look great in our lounge, I Love them.

Red X-MAS bulb lights.

These are SO COOL. I love bulb light signs like these, if you’ve been round here for a while you’ll know we had a white ‘R & T’ version at our wedding which I still have in our lounge. I also have a red star in our kitchen from last Christmas, as red is the accent colour in there.

I hope that you enjoyed this blog post. Check back for more festivities throughout the month of December.

Until next time,

Roseanne

My new make up storage.

I really wanted to get my make up sorted but I was so busy throughout December (and over Christmas especially) so I didn’t get a chance. In the end I thought why not leave it until the new year and start a fresh then!

So here we are in the new year and I’m ready to show you what I collected to store my make up and how I’ve done it.

Some of this storage is what I got new for this sort out and some of this I already had.

I’m really pleased with the finished result although it was scary to see how much I’ve collected over a 5 month period!! I only really got into make up after having my make up trials for my wedding and when I started watching YouTubers around July/August time last year.

So let’s get into it and start with the storage! I went to a couple of different shops and picked up a few things, mainly from Primark, Tiger and B & M.

From Primark I got…

A lipstick holder for Β£1.50. I probably have more lip products than any other type of make up so I just use this to put some of fav lipsticks in. This one currently holds my Tanya Burr lipsticks.

I also picked up another lipstick organiser, that’s what you can see at the top of the picture, and a Β little set of draws. These were Β£4 each.

I also got a make up brush holder for Β£4 (I think it was Β£4, I did get it a little while ago now!)

The brush holder is a simple black, faux leather brush case. You can close it up by putting the top on and and clipping it shut either side or like me, leave it open so you can see your brushes.

From B & M I bought…

A make up storage & organiser, this was between Β£2-Β£4.

I also got this set of plastic draws, these were also between Β£2-Β£4.

Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β  Tiger I chose these cute, patterned cardboard boxes.

wp-image-2078673307jpg.jpgwp-image-243137692jpg.jpg

They come in three different sizes and patterns and fit inside one another. They were only Β£1 each too, bargin!

Some other things that I used for make up storage are a set of three of Zoella’s make up bags from her Christmas collection. These were reduced to Β£4.99 so I grabbed them straightaway.

I also used the box that my Tanya Burr ‘Tanya presents’ set came in. This is from her Christmas collection too…

That’s it for storage so let’s get into how I used these items Β to spruce up my collection and keep it neat and tidy.

As I said I used the little lipstick holder to house my Tanya Burr lipsticks and some of her Limited edition mini lip glosses from her Christmas collection. They are so pretty with the gold packaging.

In the bottom draw of my plastic draws set I put all my eyeshadow palettes.

I actually had more than I realised!!!
In the next draw up I put my blushers and bronzers, (palettes and single ones).

And in the final top draw I put a few random face bits including my colour correcting palette, a loose powder and some contouring and face palettes.

I knew I had a lot of lip products but I didn’t realise the extent of my obsession when it comes to this make up item πŸ™ˆπŸ’„

As well as the holder I mentioned I also managed to fill this (See below) with lip glosses and my favourite Bourjois matte liquid lipsticks as well as the Tanya Burr box!

In the little draws I filled one with eyeliner/mascara products and the other with my foundations/BB creams.

I used the long section of the organiser to house my highlighters and strobing palettes as well as the lipstick organiser.

In the three sections I put my liquid highlighters & eyeshadow primers, my lashes and my compact mirrors & nail files.

& finally the boxes!

In the large one I put my Β new Tanya Burr palettes from her Christmas collection, ‘Pretty unstoppable’ and ‘beautifully defined’.

In the medium sized one I put my eyebrow products…

In the small one I put some random face products like my primers and illuminator.

I popped my little stand up mirror in the middle too.

I bought some Fairy lights from Primark for Β£3 to go around the edge of my make up area.

And here’s how it looks all finished…

I hope you’ve enjoyed this blog post! Let me know what you think πŸ‘

Until next time,

Roseanne πŸ™‚
