🐣Easter Activities for kids!

Hi guys!

This blog post is just a few simple ideas for you to keep the kiddies entertained over the Easter weekend.

Even if you don’t celebrate Easter in the traditional sense (I don’t either!) It is still lovely to make the most of a long weekend and some family time.

But, of course with kiddies it can be hard to keep them entertained and if you are having people over for the Easter weekend or Easter Sunday then you may need to get them out from under your feet whilst the prep takes place!

Well fear not, because I have some ideas for you that will keep them busy and are lots of fun!

Let’s take a look!

1. A Easter Egg Hunt

Cadburys & Nestle both have Easter egg hunt packs out atm as well as places such as Aldi & Lidl. They come with lots of eggs (depending on the size of the hunt you want and some prizes for the end.

You can also get Easter egg Hunt packs that have clues and signs included in them which is great if you have older children, to add a bit of challenge to your hunt.

I’ve seen these in Asda and discount stores such as B&M.

2. Easter arts & crafts

These monthly children’s magazines are great for a bit of easy art and craft and they come bursting with resources!

They are a bit pricey but, trust me they last! I bought this one for my nephews and we made two things each and there is loads left!! So one issue goes a long way and they are really easy, fun & varied.

You could also look online (Pinterest!!) for come easy craft ideas that use your recycling.

Kids love a bit of junk modelling.

3. Easter baking

Kids (& adults) love getting involved in a bit of baking, especially when it involves a tasty treat at the end!!

Check out some recipes here .

These are all really child friendly, quick, easy and the recipes use alot of the same ingredients! So easy on the purse too.

4. A Easter film

Why not create your own ‘cinema’ for a rainy day activity?!?

Pop on an Easter Film, grab some comfies, a blanket and of course some Easter choc snacks or any bakes you have created, and just enjoy a nice, chilled film together. Netflix or Easter specials of their favourite shows are great for this.

During the school holidays local cinemas such as Cineworld usually put on more ‘Movies for juniors’ showings which are a MUCH cheaper way of taking the kids to the cinema, so look out for those too πŸ˜€

5. A Nature walk/visiting the farm

A walk is a great way to enjoy and talk about the Spring and all the beautiful flowers and changes taking place.

Plus, on a nice day (let’s keep our fingers crossed for some) a bit of fresh air and a run around is great for the kiddies.

Visitng a farm is also great at this time of year as there are lots of baby animals to see and learn about too! Great experiences.

🌷 I hope this helps & have fun whatever you do 🐰

Happy Easter!

A weekend away with family πŸŒΈ

This weekend me and Tim went to stay with my Auntie & Cousin in Norwich. We had planned this trip for a little while but the snow had scuppered our plans earlier on in March!

With the weather clear and our bags packed we headed off on Friday after work. We made it in good time (although a slow moving tractor on the way almost trapped us for a bit, good old East Anglia)

We were greeted with a delicious tea of pizzas which we all enjoyed, whilst catching up.

We also got cuddles with my Aunties new baby guinea pigs Digby and Tufty. They are brothers and are super cute! (Below is Digby!)

On Saturday Morning (being the keen parkrunners that we are) me and Tim got up and went in search of Brundalls Parkrun, our first outing as Parkrun tourists. We actually found it quite easily and it was really cool doing a different course. Plus being good and still going out for a run whilst away meant we could be more indulgent when necessary over the weekend haha.

We really enjoyed the run and although it was a bit worrying not knowing the course it turned out to be pretty straight forward, A 4 lap course, we just had to remember which lap we were on!

We headed back to freshen up and have some brekky.

We spent the rest of the day watching films and playing board games. perfect weekend entertainment, especially the board games as they were vintage ones from my aunties loft (They don’t make board games like they used to these days) We found some real gems.

We went out for a meal in the evening to a local Indian restaurant that we frequent on our trips to see my Auntie, it’s lovely there and the food is really tasty.

We enjoyed poppodoms & sauces to start and for the main I chose the tandoori chicken with boiled rice, yummy.

On Sunday we all indulged in a much deserved lie in followed by a chilled out day of watching tv, chatting, having copious amounts of tea, an amazing roast dinner cooked by my cousin and playing a fun word based card game called Wordsmithery.

It’s always such a shame when a lovely long weekend ends! Back to the reality of a working week. Thank goodness it’s a short one, roll on the Easter Hols I say, I’m defiantly feeling it now ZZZzzzzz.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend!

OOTD: More dungarees & a stripy tee!

Now I know I’ve already done an ‘outfit of the day’ with dungarees & a stripy tee a month or so ago but come on, this combo never gets old!

I love how comfy (but on trend) dungarees are and I’ve always had a soft spot for a stripy tee, my stripes collection is becoming quite vast.

Although we’ve had a few quite warm days there is still that Spring freshness in the air so these are a great wardrobe staple for this season.

I’ll leave as much information about each piece as I can, enjoy πŸ™‚

  • Dungarees, Boohoo Β£12
  • Stripy tee, Primark Β£1
  • Blush pink trainers, Primark Β£10
  • Pink choker, Boohoo Β£3.99

I am loving these blush pink trainers, its one of my favourite colours and these suede effect trainers are so comfy and cute. They look cool with the dungarees turned up a bit too.

& you can’t got wrong with a bargain Β£1 stripy tee!

I hope you liked this post! See you soon x

OOTD: It’s all about dungarees πŸ‘–

As you’ll know, if  you’ve seen my recent post about my Spring clothes haul (you can check that out here) I recently bought a pair of dunagrees, these are really ‘in’ at the moment and I love mine from Boohoo, cool and comfy. Seen as they are new I thought it would be rude not to make them the focus of an outfit of the day. I’ll include as much info as I can about the clothes included πŸ™‚

Let’s take a look at the outfit πŸ™†

  • Skinny dungarees, Boohoo Β£12
  • Long sleeved striped top, H&M Β£12.99
  • Black longline bomber jacket, Boohoo Β£10
  • Choker set of 3, H&M Β£5.99
  • Floral pin badge Set of six, Primark Β£3
  • Black high top Converse Allstars, Office Β£42

This outfit is so comfy but really stylish too and I love the little details like the choker with the gold detailing and the embroidered floral badges! Got to love a bit of customization and making an outfit more you.

Let me know what you think πŸ‘

This warm weather is awesome. The sun is beating down as I write this, love it! What clothing items are you enjoying this Spring?

Spring Wishlist/Shopping

As promised I’m here with my Spring inspired wishlist! I thought I would combine this with my recent mini clothes haul since  much of what I picked up is current and Spring inspired anyway.

I’ll include pictures of the items from each shop alongside the pieces I bought myself. I’ll pop the prices and stuff alongside the items I bought✌

We’ll start with Primark…

These shoes are so pretty, simple but classic and for the bargin price of Β£2!! Can’t go wrong. I love the gold detail too.

These choker packs were Β£2 each! I love the black ones at the top especially with the rose design. The ones in the bottom picture are a bit different, these are really pretty and delicate.

H & M

This stripy top was Β£12.99. It’s a really nice basic long sleeved t shirt and will look great with jeans or dungarees.

I thought this top was really cute. I love the blue flecks in the top and the cute embroidered writing and pictures on it.

The glass is always half full πŸ₯ƒ

This 3 set of chokers was Β£5.99. These are really cool with the gold detailing and chain. I also love that this comes with a plain black one which I’ll get lots of wear out of. The gold one will look great as part of a dressier outfit too.

Boohoo

I’ve been looking to get some dungarees for ages so I was chuffed when I saw these skinny ones. These were Β£12 with free next day delivery as I’ve paid for Boohoo premier. These are super comfy.

So those are some of my purchases and some things I’ve been admiring on the shelves and online.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this post! Let me know if you did 😊

Until next time,

OOTD: Spring casual πŸŒΈ

I like doing outfit blog posts, mainly because I love shopping and being nosy at what’s on trend and “in” at the moment. (That makes me sound old!)

There are a few clothing items I’m hoping to buy this month ready for spring so I may also do a ‘Spring fashion wishlist’ post soon too, so be sure to keep an eye out for that ☺

I’ve tried to include as much information as I can about the clothes in this outfit, including the shop and price (If I can remember!!)

Let’s go!

Outfit

  • High top Converse All stars in Black, Office Β£42.00
  • High waisted ripped jeans, Boohoo Β£18
  • Dusky pink jumper, Primark
  • Black velvet choker Set of 3, Primark Β£3
  • Camo bomber jacket, Primark Β£10

I hope you like this outfit. I’m very much a high street shopper. It’s a super casual look but still on trend (music to my ears) I love the combination of dusky pink and the khaki green of the Camo jacket, they go so well together.

I was so chuffed with the bomber jacket. I had been eyeing this up for a little while in several different Primarks and it was originally Β£23, which tbf is still a bargin for a mid thickness jacket perfect for spring, but I waited and I’m so pleased I did as it ended up being Β£10 in the sale!! Love a sale bargin πŸ‘Š

Keep your eyes peeled πŸ‘€ for that ‘Spring fashion wishlist’ post coming soon 🌸

Until next time,
