Holiblog: Summer 2021 pt 2

Part 2… its very late but ah well.

So, as I said, I thought I would start up the ‘Holiblog’ series for the Summer… turns out I didn’t do a very good job… because here we are, quite a few days into Autumn and I haven’t posted a Part Two: August…

So here is that part… not because anyone cares but because we did alot of fun stuff in August and it deserves its own part too.

Let’s take a look!

The final Youth Club Farewell 😥

The Youth Club that I went to as a teen and have volunteered at for over ten years is closing. It is really sad and the end of an era! The leaders who used to look after us are now our friends and we had some great times that we will treasure fondly.

𝕊𝕒𝕥𝕦𝕣𝕕𝕒𝕪 𝟟𝕥𝕙 𝔸𝕦𝕘𝕦𝕤𝕥 𝟚𝟘𝟚𝟙

We celebrated our oldest friends (who we’ve known the longest, since we were 3!!) 30th Birthday.

We had some nibbles, drinks and a noce catch up.

I can’t believe we are all turning 30 🎈

𝕊𝕦𝕟𝕕𝕒𝕪 𝟠𝕥𝕙 – 𝟙𝟙𝕥𝕙 𝔸𝕦𝕘𝕦𝕤𝕥 𝟚𝟘𝟚𝟙

This was our Summer holiday this year and because of COVID we thought we would keep it local.

We went camping (for the first time!!) Staying at Waveney River Centre in Norfolk. It was nice and relaxing and a bit different. We had some nice meals, played games, went on walks in the sunshine, swam and met up with my Auntie and Cousin.

𝕊𝕒𝕥𝕦𝕣𝕕𝕒𝕪 𝟙𝟜𝕥𝕙 𝔸𝕦𝕘𝕦𝕤𝕥 𝟚𝟘𝟚𝟙

Me & my twin sister had organised our bestfriends Hen and finally (thanks COVID!!) it happened.

And it was SO much fun! We started with an Escape Room, followed by lunch, an amazing, hilarious, tipsy Cocktail Masterclass, Dinner and more cocktails 🥂

𝕊𝕦𝕟𝕕𝕒𝕪 𝟙𝟝𝕥𝕙 𝔸𝕦𝕘𝕦𝕤𝕥 𝟚𝟘𝟚𝟙

We started off with fun at ‘YaYas House’ a stay and play play centre, which would of 100% been my dream as a child, with its themed rooms.

The boys came over for a sleepover – its so good to be able to do them again.

Today, we celebrated my Aunties 70th birthday. It was a lovely family get-together.

I got my husband Tim a Meerkat experience at our local zoo. This was part of his 30th birthday present. He loved it.

My half term diary!

October Half term 2019

… because it’s been a busy but fun one!

#stillgotloadsofchorestodo

#whocareswehadfun

Saturday

Me & my mum went out for afternoon tea to start off the half term! We both work in schools so we thought it would be a nice treat at the beginning of the holidays.

We went to a little cafe along the waterfront, in our hometown and it was lovely.

The interior of the cafe was really cool and quirky and the view (with sunshine!!) was amazing.

There were three tiers to the afternoon tea. On the bottom tier were finger sandwiches: Smoked salmon & cream cheese, Ham & mustard, Cheese & red onion chutney and cucumber.

The second tier was cakes, we had a piece of Victoria sponge to share, a piece of coffe cake to share syns a lemon curd that each.

The final, top tier was the fruit scones with clotted cream and jam.

You also got a pot of tea or coffee to accompany your food.

Sunday

I spent Sunday relaxing at a local day spa with my friend.

It was a great way to wind down after a busy first half term.

Relaxing in the jacuzzi, sizzling in the sauna & having a spot of lunch too.

We both decided to treat ourselves to a treatment on this occasion. I went for a back, neck and shoulder massage (Which was amazing) & my friend went for a facial.

A perfect Sunday 🧖🏼‍♀️💧

Monday

Before heading to work in the afternoon I caught up with my friend Livy and her little bundle of joy (SO CUTE!!) Finley.

We met at a local cafe, that I love! & is just around the corner, for what is possibly one of my favourite meals, Brunch!

So good!

But not as good as the catch up and Finley cuddles/giggles ❤

Wednesday

Another day, another brunch!

& this time with my lovely work friends from school.

It can be really tricky organising getting us altogether so it was lovely to be able to finally coordinate our calendars during a school holiday! We see each other every day but it’s good to just be able to chat properly.

Brunch is one of my favourite meals! Breakfast food is the best food for sure.

Thursday

On thursday evening I had both of my nephews and my niece over for a sleepover! (Call me crazy, but it was really fun)

I’ve never had them all at once seeing as they are 5, 3 & 2 but it was triple the fun.

We did lots of fun colouring together as I bought them a little colouring pad and pencil set each for the occasion.

We had tomato and cheesey pasta followed by a bit of Peppa Pig and a story.

And to make things even better they all went straight off to sleep 😴

Friday

On Friday morning I took the boys to the cinema before they headed home.

It was Casey’s pick this time and we watched Shaun the Sheep Farmaggedon.

With lots of snacks of course!

In the afternoon I headed to the station as me and my Auntie had a weekend in London planned together and I was meeting her on the train.

Once we had got to the hotel we headed out for a spot of dinner at a local Bella Italia. It was delicious!

We both had Calamari to start followed by a ‘Create your own’ pizza for me and creamy pasta for my Auntie.

I’ve never known a chain Italian restaurant to have a create your own option so this was great. I went for mozzerella, garlic mushrooms & salami.

Once we had eaten we headed back to the hotel to change then made our way to the theatre.

The show was amazing and such a cool and modern way to tell history.

If you dont know, Six is a musical concert telling the story of Henty the 8ths Six wives. They perform songs as if they are in a girl band and each take it in turns to tell their story.

The songs were really good and the singing was incredible.

Saturday

We started off the day as any day that proceeds a night stay away should… with an unlimited breakfast buffet, YES.

After that we packed up our things and headed to our first stop of the day, our London Bus tour.

I know that its so touristy but I’ve always wanted to do one so that’s something to tick off the bucket list.

We really enjoyed seeing all the different London sights.

We were definatly ready for some lunch, after our two hour trip, so we headed to a nearby restaurant/bakery for what turned out to be an incredibly delicious meal.

This avocado on toast was to die for and the chocolate bomb cake that I had afterwards was pure indulgence!

All that was left to do after this was make our way back to Covent Garden and grab our bags.

We stopped off for a cheeky soft drink at the hotel before making our way to London Liverpool street, homeward bound.

It was such a fun weekend 😁

I had a great time xx

Sunday

Today was the last day of half term 😭

But, it still counts so we made the most of it by spending the day together, having fun!

We started off by gaming, ‘caus we’re cool 😏

& we took sed gaming to that lovely local cafe I mentioned in Mondays entry, (because as I said, its awesome)

So we spent the late morning/early afternoon playing in there and having some yummy lunch together.

The perfect end to half term with my favourite 💗

How was your half term??

🍁

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂

Half term diaries part 2

Part two of February Half term!

Here’s what I’ve been up to.

Wednesday 20th February/Thursday 21st February 2019

During both of these days I was at work allday 7.30-6.

Working with kids is good fun though and we did lots of fun activities.

I really enjoy planning fun activities to do during the holidays.

Friday 23rd February 2019

In the morning I met up with my twin sister and my nephews for some bowling fun.

Both of the boys really enjoyed themselves as Noah only had a go at bowling when he was very little and Casey has never been before.

The boys had a great time and they were really good at bowling, it’s safe to say Auntie Ro Ro lost 🎳

Afterwards we had some lunch and some treats (of course!) DOUGHNUTS!!

In the afternoon we headed to Norwich to stay with my Auntie and cousin for a long weekend.

We popped into the Norwich Primark en-route, in order to see if they had the onesie of my dreams…

…they didn’t disappoint!! & it was the only one left 🙌🏻

Once at my Aunties, we settled down for a delicious Mexican taco feast.

Saturday 23rd February 2019

Today me & Tim started off the day with a Parkrun in a nearby village.

Once we got back we spent the rest of the morning/afternoon chilling out, having lunch and playing games.

The Pointless Mini game was a particular fave.

In the late afternoon we went and saw my cousin, his wife and kiddies for a catchup up and a cuppa, which was nice!

We rounded off the evening with a delicous meal out together at Zizzi’s.

We played a few more games when we got back too. Love a board game!

Sunday 24th February 2019

Today we went out l to enjoy the lovely sunshiny weather, you’ve got to make the most of it when you get it here in the UK!!

We stopped off for a yummy snacky lunch at a lovely pub in Ranworth.

We shared some stuffed peppers, Cheesey chips, homemade houmous, falafel & flatbread and some onion rings, yummy!

After that we went for a little walk along the river. It was so pretty and just lovely in the early Spring sunshine.

A great weekend rounded off with a scrummy roast beef dinner and baked Apple dessert, when we got home.

It’s been a great half term!!

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂

Back to School stationary ✏

Back to School Stationary

And yeah it counts, because I work in a school! Haha.

I love a bit of stationary, any excuse! But one that’s actually legit is ‘Back to School’ at September time.

I work as a learning support assistant (Or a TA, whatever you like!) in a primary school, So stationary is essential! But also, who doesn’t love a pretty notebook & pencil case!?!

So, here’s my mini haul ready to go back to work this September! Let’s take a look!

Diary/Planner

Pink is one of my absolute fave colours, especially this dusky shade! teamed with the gold font and I was sold.

This diary is perfect for this time of year as it starts from July 2018 and goes all the way up to August 2019.

I really like the timetable section as this will be super handy at work for keeping track of where I need to be and when.

This was £8.99 in WH Smith’s.

Notebooks

I have two of these Harry Potter notebooks ready for the coming year and they are SO cool.

They are a simple lined notebook with a ring spine.

Perfect for taking notes and keeping on top of lists.

These were both given to me as a gift but there is alot of Harry Potter merch around atm so I’m sure they, or something similar, would be super easy to find!

Pens

September means Sharpies!

I always get a new set of these bad boys in the ‘Back to School’ sales and this year was no exception!

I always look in Tesco as they usually have a great stationary sale around this time of year and it’s all so pretty.

This is a limited edition set of Sharpies that comes with 30 pens. It has 24 Fine point markers and 6 Ultra fine point markers.

Sharpies are great, the selection of colours in this set is awesome and they last ages.

This set was £15 in Tesco.

Highlighters

These highlighter are beautiful 😍

I use highlighters all the time at work and they are just super handy when making notes, taking observations and doing assessments.

I had to pick these up in pastel colours because, just look at them!!!

SO cool.

This pack was a bargain at £2.99 because I was buying the planner at the same time. Kind of like an add on item!

£2.99 in WH Smith’s

Enjoy your time back at school!

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂
