Staying on plan but still having fun!

I thought I’d do a blog post about… My breakfast! Sounds random but this morning me and Tim went out to breakfast and I stayed on my slimming world plan. When you go out for a meal this is often tricky to do but when you can it’s so good!!

image

The Harvester do a yummy breakfast and you can have as much as you want!! Their £8.49 option includes unlimited cooked and continental breakfast and any hot or cold drinks. This is the option me and Tim went for 🙂

image

The cooked breakfast is great as you can get poached eggs, baked beans and the bacon, tomatoes and mushrooms are all grilled so you can have your bacon fix and speed foods without feeling guilty. (Just make sure you take the fat off your bacon!)

I had one hash brown which I counted as 4 syns to be safe. I also got two slices of wholemeal toast and had these as my healthy b!

image

image

I syned the jam and milk in my tea which comes to 3 syns. I’m saving my healthy A for cheesy pasta at dinner!

It was so nice to go out together, no cooking needed, and we had a lovely walk along the Waterfront! What a great way to start the weekend and it was guilt free.

Slimming world has been so easy to slot into my life, yeah I still have days when I wish I could eat all the cake and chocolate I want, run down to the takeaway instead of cooking but it’s about getting the balance right and believe me, you really appreciate the treats when you have them!

Please share your comments and let me know what you think,  I’d love to hear from you.

Until next time,
Roseanne 🙂

Wedding update no 2! ♡

So, on Sunday my bridesmaids (my twin sister, older sister & bestfriend) came round to help me with some crafty wedding bits.

image

The bridesmaids
(Charlotte, Roxy & Sarah)
I got it all ready into different boxes for each of us to tackle.

Box 1: Decopage

image

Sarah (my twin) was on decopage duty. I had found some little letters to spell out Mr & Mrs and some cute, and colour scheme appropriate, paper in the Norwich hobbycraft.

image

Box 2: Labels

Pinterest has been AMAZING for wedding ideas, be it decorations, invites, flowers or even dresses. I found some really cute labels to personalise for each guest, this was Roxy (my bestfriends) job.

Box 3: Centrepieces

image

As I brought some of the bits for these on Saturday when I was in town I tackled these. These were another pinterest idea and as I love making things these were perfect, they’re a bit different and really pretty… 2 down, 11 to go!

Here’s a link to the tutorial of how to make these:
http://pizzazzerie.com/parties/tutorial-how-to-make-a-pomander-flower-ball/

Last, but not least…

Box 4: invites

My older sister Charlotte  was on invites on Sunday and we managed to make loads! I changed my mind slightly  from the original idea that I had as I wanted something a bit simpler, more classic and neat.
So we’ve taken some bits away, added a bit of lace and I’m really excited to get these ready to send out in February 🙂

As me and Charlotte work at the same school we have been making invites at lunch time, we’ll have them done in no time!

Thanks for reading,  it would be great if you could comment below and let me know what you think.

Until next time,
Roseanne 🙂

Shopping spree!

Just thought I’d do a quick blog post about my shopping spree on saturday and what I brought.
I LOVE clothes shopping, not sure it counts as a hobby but, I enjoy it none the less.

So first stop, good old Primark!
Apart from some new work trousers and shoes (my only necessary purchases of the day) I got…

image

A lovely jumper in burgundy, it’s a nice length as it’s a bit longer than waist length and looks really nice with skinny jeans or trousers.

image

A red checkered shirt. I love the colour red and this looks great as a casual top with skinnies and brown boots or brouges!

Next stop was New look! I didn’t realise our New look was still open as the shopping centre its in is currently being refurbished but it hasn’t relocated to its new place yet and they had a sale!!

image

I’ve been looking for a pair of brown ankle boots with brouge detailing for ages and was so pleased when I finally found these in New look, love them.

image

This lovely coral blouse was a bargin at £5 in the New look sale! Super.

I also got a few wedding bits for the next day as we were getting crafty and making invites, decorations and centrepieces. More details in my next blog 🙂

Until next time,
Roseanne 🙂

A weekend with Noah!

This weekend Tim is on a stag do so I have the lovely Noah to keep me company.

On Friday night I took Noah to see the fireworks at Sproughton with some friends.
Noahs never seen fireworks before but he seemed to like them and was fine with the noise which was great. He really liked looking at the bonfire too.

Here are some pictures of us all at the fireworks.

Today (Saturday) after a lovely 9 hours sleep (fireworks definatly tired someone out!!) we headed to the cinema to meet my sisters. Cineworld do ‘movies for juniors’ film showings so we went to watch The Minions movie.

image

image

Noah had a lovely time with his mummy & aunties and lots of yummy snacks!

Once the film had finished we said goodbye to the others and headed off to town. Noah fell asleep for the majority of the shopping trip but auntie Roseanne managed to shop till she dropped!

Back at mine we played with his toys, did some colouring, sung and danced to some songs and played some musical instruments.
We had a lovely afternoon.

He’s sleeping now while I watch a bit of TV, it’s been a busy but fun day 🙂

Tommorrow morning the bridesmaids are coming round for some wedding craft! I’ll do a blog about this wedding update soon.

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂

Livy’s Hen party

So this weekend was spent in sunny London for my lovely friend Livys Hen Do.
It was organised by her bridesmaid Katherine and there were lots of us in attendance. Us, ‘the Ipswich lot’ were trusted with the task of transporting Livy safely to London where we all met up at the hostel where we were staying.

image

My yummy lunch at Liverpool street train station.

I’ve never stayed in a hostel before so this was a new experience for me!
The one that Katherine found was really good and as we had such a large group of us we had a whole room to ourselves, it was like a giant sleepover.

The first thing we did was get ready for the night ahead! As a group we had decided earlier to go with a Harry Potter Halloween theme (yay)

Me and Sarah decided to go as Weasley twins Fred and George!
image

We had so many different characters from Harry Potter himself, the ghost of Rowena Ravenclaw, Bellatrix Lestrange, Sirius Black, Lucius Malfoy, Hedwig, Fawkes, and loads of different witches, wizards, house elves and more!

Here are some pictures of the awesome costumes.

Livy’s mum very kindly offered to pay for all the ‘hens’ to have a yummy meal which was our first activity of the evening. We went to the Gourmet Pizza Company Southbank, it was delicious!

image

image

Once we were all fed and watered we headed over to the La Soiree!
La Soiree is a caberat show, which is lots of different acts. It was amazing! There was some technical difficulties due to loss of power from the Southbank centre but that didn’t stop us having fun. We were allowed to stay in our booths and watch the 10 o clock show as we had only seen two acts before we lost power and we got a free drink!

image

image

image

image

Some of the acts we saw were The English Gents who did balancing and acrobatics, a man who was double jointed and was able to squeeze through tennis rackets by manipulating his body, a singer, a man with his ‘sexy’ diablo, acrobats and much more!

We were there for 5 hours in the end and once the show was over we walked back to the hostel for more fun and games!

We stayed up till 4 in the end…

image

… well it was a hen party!

At 4 we decided we should probably sleep in order to be of any use the next day!

On Sunday we spent the day sourcing a yummy breakfast, walking along the Thames and having fun in the Namco Arcades!

It was such a FUN weekend and was lovely to meet all of Livy’s other friends and her family!
Super excited for the wedding in 3 weeks!!

A weekend away!

A little while ago, on Groupon,  I found a great deal for a night stay for two with a three course meal and breakfast included so I brought one for me and Tim!
We went last weekend which was great timing as it’s half term for me and Tim had just finished a busy stint at work  so it was a much needed break.

We stayed at a lovely place called The Scole Inn, in Norfolk, once we finally found it (gotta love sat navs)

image

image

image

I had a lovely relaxing bath and a good read of my book before we went to dinner.
The food was really yummy, hearty food and we both really enjoyed our meals.

                 My fish & chips

The Inn was really homely and had some lovely features, big fireplaces, wooden beams and old chests and knick knacks to decorate. They gave such a warm feel to the place.

image

Our breakfast the next morning was yummy too! Breakfast is a must when it comes to me & Tim and hotels and you could have as much as you want, Bonus!

image

We spend the rest of Sunday having a look round Wroxham Barns, having lunch and playing mini golf.

image

image

image

It was lovely to get a chance to spend a bit of time together away from home, having fun and relaxing without worrying about cooking etc.

And of course I was back on my SW plan on Monday,  it’s good to have a treat every now and then 🙂

Until next time,

Roseanne  🙂

Happy future day!

So yesterday was the day that a film about the future turned into a film about the past, Wednesday 21st October 2015.

image

We were supposed to have hover boards, 19 jaws sequels, flying cars and rather questionable fashion sense! (See through ties,  really?!)

image

I can’t believe, having loved the back to the future trilogy as a young child,  that we are now in 2015! I always used to wonder would 2015 really be like that, and I can’t believe it’s come round so quickly.

image

Me and my sister Sarah love the back to the future films so to celebrate future day yesterday we went to the cinema to watch all three films, back to back! EPIC.

image

This is us between films 2 and 3!

It was really cool to watch all the films on the big screen and I feel like I’m a part of the history of a film franchise that I love.

We havnt got it too bad here in 2015, hey its not what they expected but we’re doing alright and when back to the future is still being shown on TV in years to come I can say to my children I watched this film when it was in the future, the present and the past.

It was really good fun and it seems rather apt to leave you with this thought….

Happy future day guys!

The wedding so far!

So, our wedding…

The venue

Wantisden Valley
Woodbridge

image

image

image

We both loved the venue as soon as we saw it! It’s an old converted barn with a beautiful marquee ceiling, fairy lights and some lovely features. It’s in gorgeous surroundings too which will be fab for taking photos.

Colour scheme

image

image

Our colour scheme is dusky pink and sage green.

They look lovely together and work well for both the bride and groom side, tim wasn’t too keen on wearing pink haha.

Bridesmaid dresses

image

I loved these as soon as I saw them on the BHS website. I almost went for the short length version but I am really glad I didn’t in the end, the long ones look really elegant.

They were on sale too which was great! Love a bargin.

The flowers

These are just some ideas I’ve had so far.
Gerberas are a definate as they are my favourite flowers 🙂 I love the green gerberas too as they are a bit different.
I’ve also always really liked cream roses.

Catering

We have gone for an Italian theme for our food as we both love Italy ♡
Tim found an amazing wood fired pizza company, their food sounds delicious!
Pizzas, antipasti, salad! They also do yummy food for the reception too, I can’t wait.

So that’s a little snippet of our wedding so far 🙂 super exciting.

Until next time,

Roseanne

Where did it all begin…

So I thought I’d do a blog to give a little background to mine and Tims story before I start sharing all our wedding plans.

Me and Tim went to the same high school, he was even friends with my twin sister but, we didn’t know each other until we were 19.
We had mutual friends who we’d met in separate circumstances and one day the group merged and we started to all hang out together.

image

image

We used to all meet regularly at our local pub ‘the Heathlands’, which has sadly since been replaced by a tesco, sad face 😦

It was on a night out that we all met up and we started to hang out. He truly was one of the loveliest,  funniest, most caring people I’d ever met and he still is.

image

image

After months of growing friendship and hidden feelings Tim plucked up the courage to tell me how he felt and the rest, they say, is history!

We made it official on 11th June 2011 and on saturday 11th June 2016 (5 years on) we will become husband and wife ♡

image

image

                 The proposal

Tim asked me to marry him in our favourite country, Italy in the city of Florence on Sunday 9th August 2015.

Italy is a really special place to us as we both love it, especially the food, and it was the first place we went on holiday together.

We were on the Ponte Vecchio bridge or the gold bridge. It’s lined with little jewellery shops, hence the name gold bridge.

After some window shopping Tim stopped and and asked me if I’d like to go back and get the ring I liked, when I asked why he said;

Will you marry me?

Of course I said yes! The one in the shop window fitted, it was perfect!

So that’s us.
There will be a wedding update in the next blog post!

The C Word…

Now some people won’t like me mentioning Christmas already but, there are a few things I’m looking forward to receiving  for Christmas so I thought I’d share them on my blog.

People who know us know that me and my twin sister Sarah like LOVE Harry Potter and there are a few awesome things that have come out recently that I’m super excited about.

1. Harry Potter colouring book

image

Adult colouring books are quite on trend at the moment and I have a couple so you can imagine my excitement  when I heard about this one!!
I can’t wait to get started, it’s really therapeutic and, I’m not ashamed to admit, quite fun!!

2. The illustrated edition of Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone

image

This looks epic!! Me and my sister have said we will buy this for each other for Christmas and I can’t wait.
From the snippets I’ve seen the pictures look fantastic. It’s a bit  different and there is something really magical about the first book, where it all began, so it will be really cool to look through.
So yay for Christmas!

Right, that’s my geeky bit done.

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂
