World Book Day 2023 đŸ“š

Hi guys! 👋🏼

Today is World Book Day. I mean everyday is Book Day for me haha.

As I work in a Primary School Setting I do love this Day simply for sharing stories and excitement around books.

Plus, it’s good fun to make a costume and dress up. My favourite part is reading to the children throughout the day though.

What could you do this World Book Day?

Get crafty and make a bookmark for you and or the kids.

Just enjoy a bit of quiet reading time with a new book or a favourite of yours…

Read to the kids! This is my favourite part of world book day at work ❤️📚

Try something new? A new type of book, a new genre. I have recently been enjoying the Heartstopper Graphic Novels which is not a book format that I usually read.

Read your favourite book ♡

Unfortunately I won’t have time today but, going to a local bookshop and treating yourself to a new book would also be an awesome way to spend it too. Especially if the kids have their book token too!

This year I have reused my Stick Man costume as I put alot of effort into making this last year so I thought I would get one more year out of it!

Whatever you do, I hope you have been able to enjoy a book and share that joy with somebody…theres nothing better ♡

What did you do for World Book Day?

What costume did you wear?

Until Next Time,

Blogmas Day Eleven: The Magical Music of Harry Potter âšĄđŸŽś

Hi guys 👋🏻

13 days to go!

Yesterday me and my sister went to ‘The Magical Music of Harry Potter’ concert at our local theatre.

It was a 30th Birthday present from bavk in May but it felt very festive in the frosty evening – especially as they played alot of the festive/wintery music from the Harry Potter films.

The concert was performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Chris Rankin, who played Percy Weasley in the Harry Potter films (Amazing!!!) A real life Weasley.

The music was very magical and just as awesome as it is in the films.

Chris offered lots of anecdotes from filming and behind the scenes. He was really charismatic and funny, AND a brilliant singer.

It was so good and perfect for any fellow Potterheads out there ⚡

Blogmas Day Five: My Harry Potter Tree âšĄđŸŽ„

20 Days to go!

Here is my Harry Potter Christmas tree.

Enjoy!

There is a mixture of ornaments of all the different Hogwarts Houses, with the main theme being Gryffindor.

Gryffindor is my favourite Hogwarts house so I have the Gryffindor bow ribbons? extra Gryffindor ornaments and extra red and gold baubles.

Until Next Time,

A very Harry Potter Christmas: Blogmas day 9 â˜‡

Hi guys!

So, this is very exciting!! Well I think so anyway haha. For any of my fellow Harry Potter fans out there, this ones for you…

I have seen many photos over the years (thanks Pinterest) of Harry Potter Christmas trees, and with an extra tree in our flat this year, well it seemed rude not to give it a go finally.

I’ve got plenty of Harry Potter memorabilia to create such a masterpiece and so I set about decorating my most magical Christmas tree yet.

I already had lights and fittingly (excluding the pink ) they are red, green, yellow and blue lights, the same colours as the four Hogwarts houses.

I used two Hogwarts ties that I had as tinsel, A red and gold Gryffindor one and a blue and silver Ravenclaw one. The Ravenclaw one is actually my sister Sarah’s, so if your reading this, thanks for your contribution haha.

As I said, I used lots of different bits of my Harry Potter memerobilia to decorate the main body of the tree and it was really fun adding all my little Harry Potter trinkets onto the tree, from baubles to characters, pictures and more.

The tree topper, like many Ive seen online had to be my sorting hat that I got from the Warner Bros studio tour, it brings it all together really well.

Lets take a look…

Here is the finished tree…

Until next time,

Roseanne 🙂
