Blogmas Day Twelve: Advent Calender update 🎅🏻

So as you may (or may not) have seen from my first Blogmas post of 2019 ~ Blogmas Day One I have the Lego Harry Potter advent calendar (such a child I know, but Lego is awesome and so is Harry Potter SO THERE!!)

I thought I would do a little update on how the Christmas scene is progressing and show you some of the bits you get.

It is really cool.

Behind each window is either a figure or a part to the Hogwarts Winter Christmas Scene.

Let’s take a look!

The scenes coming on well so far…

There is an exterior part and an interior part.

My favourite bit to build so far was the mini Hogwarts express.

It’s so clever how they’ve made all the different bits, especially the snow covered Christmas trees!

I love all the little details, like the food, goblets and candles for the house tables. The house banners are really cool, I’m hoping you get one for each house!

I also really like that Harry and Ron are in their Weasley Christmas jumpers.

Blogmas Day 7: My advent calendars

One of my favourite bits of Christmas is the build up and of course advent calendars are a big part of that.

I thought I would share with you guys which calendars I have this year.

This is the first time during a blogmas (& I think this is year 3 of me doing it) that I havn’t had a beauty advent calender. None of them took my fancy this year and the ones I’d had previously hadn’t changed a lot either. Plus is it just me or are they very expensive!!

So let’s take a look at the ones I did go for.

Chocolate first of course! And the king of chocolate, so it had to be, Cadburys.

I went for the ‘1994’ style edition as I thought it looked super traditional plus I’m a 90s kid so I thought it was cool.

I love having a little chunk of Cadbury chocolate every morning to look forward to.

I also got myself a colouring advent calendar too, just for a bit of fun!

You get a different picture for each day of advent and they are all Christmas themed.

It’s quite relaxing doing my colouring in the evening whilst I catch up on I’m a celeb.

My Tanya Burr Advent calendar! The final day: Blogmas day 22

Hi guys!

 

So, today is the final day of my Tanya Burr beauty advent calendar ‘Tanya’s treats’

Ive really enjoyed having a beauty advent calendar again this year and have got some super sparkly and glitzy products ti try out.

They should see me through to new years too.

Lets look behind window 12…

 

It’s a bit more sparkle in the form of a glitter nail varnish. This one is called ‘Glitter frosting’ and is a beautiful goldy, bronzy toned glitter polish.

I actually LOVE this colour, I haven’t got anything like this tone in my collection and it is SO pretty!!

 

It is a bit different to the other glitter I got as it isn’t just clear with glitter particles in it but it has a shimmery background tone to it too.

My Tanya Burr advent calendar : Blogmas day 20 🗢

Hi guys!

Today is the penultimate window of my Tanya Burr advent calendar! Its gone so quickly, December always seems to go so quickly and even though I love that Christmas is only 5 days away I’m also aware that it will all be over soon.

I hope these next few days don’t go too quickly as I have now finished my main job for the holidays and so I want to enjoy a bit of festive time off before the big day.

So, lets take a look behind number 11…

It is another little glitter pot! This one is called ‘Midnight magic’ This is an eye glitter pot and is perfect for creating a sparkly, smokey eye. A definite must for a Christmas party or drinks with friends over the festive period.

My Tanya Burr advent calendar: Blogmas day 18

Hi guys!

I’ve only got a few windows left!

Behind the latest window was…

A  mini nail file. Its a lovely dark and christmassy red. It is the perfect size to pop into your handbag.

Hopefully if my nails are nice and smooth I won’t be so tempted to bite them!! 💅

Sorry its a short post but there’s only so much I can write about a nail file haha.

My Tanya Burr advent calendar: Blogmas day 16

Hi guys!

It’s time for another look inside my Tanya Burr beauty advent calendar!

Let’s dive straight in…

Behind number nine is a lovely lip gloss in the shade ‘Ice queen’. Its a lovely shiny, slightly glittery/iridescent white and clear gloss.

It’s really pretty and perfect for this frosty, festive season.

This would be great on its own or as a top coat to add a bit of shine and sparkle to your lips.

Super pretty!

My Tanya Burr advent calendar: Blogmas day 14

Hi guys!

IT’S LESS THAN 2 WEEKS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!!! That’s crazy 🎄🎄

It’s also time for another look in my Tanya treats beauty advent calendar.

Let’s see what I got…


Behind the latest window was a little compact mirror. It’s a lovely matte dark red colour with a matte bronze edging. It has ‘Tanya Burr cosmetics’ I  her trademark font (which I love btw) 

There’s also a little ‘TB’ in a heart above the writint, in the same lovely matte bronzy colour.

This is really pretty and the perfect size for popping into your handbag.

My Tanya Burr advent calendar: Blogmas day 12! ❄️

Hi guys!

Another day, another window. I am loving having a beauty advent calendar again this year, although its so hard to stop myself from opening one everyday for 12 days instead of every other day!! So far so good but its very tempting!

Lets take a look behind the next window…

 

This time I got a little pot of eye glitter. The glitter is called ‘Let it snow’ ❄️

The glitter is a lovely white and sparkly tone, when it catches the light it shines lots of different colours. Its really pretty and super festive.

I love this product as I don’t do my eye make up very much so I am excited to try out something different. This is super festive and sparkly and will be great for a Christmassy/party look. I think I am going to give this a try for my work Christmas meal on Friday!

The packaging is super simple and cute, I love the shape of the pot. plus its the perfect size to pop into any make up bag.

My Tanya Burr advent calendar: Blogmas day 10

Hi guys!

Today’s another look into my Tanya Burr advent calender.

Let’s see what’s inside…

Behind the next window was another lovely eyeliner. This one is also sparkly bit is a silver glitter liner.

As I said previously I don’t have many and these glitter ones are much easier to apply. I love that I have both gold and silver glitter now, great for completing a casual eye look or for glitzing up a Christmas party make up look.

These are great for eyeliner novices as you can’t really tell if you’ve applied it 100% nearly or not because it is just glitter in a clear fluid . It looks really pretty and I can’t wait to use this one too.

My Tanya Burr advent calendar: Blogmas day 8

Hi guys!

So, its time to have a look behind another window of my Tanya Burr advent calendar.

Let’s take a look…

Today’s little gift was a lovely little lipgloss.

This lip gloss is called ‘Pink fondant’ and is a lovely pinky nude. It reminds me of Tanya’s ‘Pink cocoa’ lipstick but in lip gloss form, if you’ve tried ‘Pink cocoa’ you’ll know how pretty the shade is.

This gloss is a perfect everyday nude with a lovely pinky tone to it. It would also be great to accompany a smokey eye make up look for the evening.

Like the other gloss, it glides on beautifully, looks lovely on and isn’t at all sticky. For a lip gloss it is surprisingly  long lasting too.

I am really pleased with this and am sure this is going to be a new staple for my make up collection.
