Here’s another quick & tasty sweet recipe for you to try. There are only a few ingredients to make this super yummy treat:
●Chocolate digestives (half a pack)
●Milk chocolate (X4 large bars)
● Malteasers (X2 boxes)
1. Crush the biscuits with a rolling pin. Leave some dust and some big bits.
2. Melt the milk chocolate and pour into the digestives. Mix!
3. Crush a few of the Malteasers and then mix some in whole.
4. Pour into a container or tray and flatten out.
5. Pop it into a fridge until it’s hardened.
6. Cut into squares to serve.

Date night ♡
Yesterday me and Tim decided to have a date night. Tim is very busy with work at the moment and we havnt had much opportunity to spend time together so, we took the evening off and went to see a film and have dinner.
The films started at 6.40pm so we watched it before eating. We went to see Eye in the sky (2016). It’s a suspense thriller starring Helen Mirran and the late Alan Rickman, exploring the morality of modern warfare.
We both really enjoyed the film and it had you on the edge of your seat numerous times.
Apart from a good trailer I also wanted to see this film because it was Alan Rickmans last live action performance before he died, he was brilliant in it.
After the film we made our way to Nandos (One of our favourite places to eat out) and ordered some dinner.
It was super delicious!
In fact our starter of Red pepper dip with warm pitta bread was so good we gobbled it before I could take a picture haha.
I had the butterfly chicken, Mango & lime, with a side of spicy rice and salad.
Tim had a double chicken breast wrap, mango and lime with a double side of garlic bread and perinase.
So yummy!
It was a lovely evening and I love spending time with my favourite ♡
Until next time,
Roseanne 🙂
Eating out: GBK
One of my favourite places to eat out is Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK).
Now, as you’ll know from my previous blog I am on Slimming World, but I’m a firm believer in everything in moderation and allowing yourself a treat every now and then and GBK is definatly a treat!
We visited the one in Chapelfield mall in Norwich on Sunday.
I had their classic chicken burger (regular size) and you can have it either chargrilled or panko crumbed & fried, I had mine with the panko crumb and it was really tasty! The chicken breast was huge!! It also came with salad and a yummy relish in it. It was £8.65
I also got a regular skinny chips, these are my favourite and a MUST at GBK.
I thought I’d try one of their dips as I like something to dip my chips in. I went for the garlic mayo and it was to die for, it packs quite a punch so I’d only recommend it to those that are fond of garlic, I love it!
I’ll definatly be having that again.
The chips were £2.95 & the dip was £1.25
I had a Diet Coke with my meal, that came in a glass bottle and was served with ice and a slice, lovely and refreshing. £2.60
My sister got one of their refillable fizzy drinks, it was strawberry and elderflower. It was really tasty and refreshing as it came with lots of ice and fresh mint leaves. This is great as you can refill it as many times as you like for £2.45.
I was being relatively good this time as my Hen Do is soon (Eek!) But there are a few other sides and things that I would recommend:
● House onion rings £3.55
●Halloumi bites £3.75
●Milkshakes from £4.30
The milkshakes are so good and they are great with a meal or as an alternative to a dessert (which is what I usually do!) I’m particularly fond of the Oreo flavoured one, although there are the usual flavours (strawberry, chocolate, vanilla) as well as more premium ones such as the Oreo, salted caramel and more.
Me and my sisters are hoping to go to Norwich for mine & Sarah’s birthday so I will definatly be having some of these that time, yum yum.
If your a real lover of food like me GBK is definatly worth a go!
Until next time,
Roseanne 🙂
Cheese & Bacon twists!
I thought I’d share with you a yummy recipe that I first came across on a cooking show ‘Home cooking made easy’.
The recipe is by chef Lorraine Pascal and it’s so quick and easy!
Cheese and bacon twists
Here’s what you’ll need… 4 simple ingredients.
○ Parma ham
○ Puff pastry
○ Grated Cheddar cheese
○ Cracked black pepper
Here’s how I did it…
1. Lay out the pastry and cover with cheddar cheese, press the cheese into the pastry.
2. Grind black pepper onto the cheese and pastry. Cut into strips about 2 cms wide.
3. Lay a slice of parma ham on each strip.
4. Hold an end in each hand and twist in opposite directions until you have a tight twist that holds together.
5. Flatten at the ends to seal. Place on a baking tray evenly spread apart.
6. Cook at 200’c for about 20 minutes, until golden brown.
Don’t they look great…
These are delicious served warm from the oven or cold in a packed lunch. A yummy snack!
Here is the link to Lorraine Pascal recipe if you’d like to check that out too.
Enjoy!
Until next time,
Roseanne 🙂
Celebratory afternoon tea!
Yesterday I enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea with the ladies from work. They organised it for me to celebrate my upcoming nuptials. They are unable to attend my Hen Do so we had a mini one together.
We decided to dress up for the occasion, here’s my outfit…
I love the colours navy, white and red together and this super cute dress was in Quiz! It took me a whole afternoon of shopping to find this and it was in the last shop I went in. £25 was great too as I will definatly get alot of wear out of this.
To accessories I painted my nails red, popped on my white sandals with a small heel and my red rose earrings. I loved this look.
I used my BB cream, pink blusher and Cor Balmy lip balm in shade Jam Jar, which is a red tone, to add a pop to the look.
Now back to the good bit…CAKE!
We had such a yummy selection of sandwiches, cakes and scones!
We had:
○ An egg finger sandwich.
○ A mini cream cheese & salmon bagel.
○ A sausage roll.
○ A open prawn sandwich.
○ A cheese scone with cream cheese & tomato.
○ A lemon cheesecake.
○ A chocolate éclair.
○ An apple turnover.
○ A scone with clotted cream & jam.
○ A lemon macaroon.
○ A cupcake with vanilla frosting.
And lots of tea of course!
The guys got me a pink heart balloon and a ‘Bride to be’ sash which was cool!
It was really yummy and it was lovely to enjoy it together out of work!
The Salthouse hotel is really nicely decorated and has lots of unique pieces.
Afternoon tea is one of my favorite things and the Salthouse hotel is a must for anyone who enjoys it too.
Until next time,
Roseanne 🙂
A relaxing afternoon.
After work I met my sister, brother in law and nephew at this really cool cafe/bar just around the corner from mine.
It’s decorated really well and has lots of unique and random bits in it, but together it works
We settled down and ordered some tea, soft drinks and a HUGE slice of red velvet cake!
Noah especially enjoyed the cake…
As well as a cuppa and cake they also do yummy breakfast, lunches and operate as a student bar in thr evening.
Once I got home I decided to run myself a bath. We’ve had hot water problems for 2 weeks and it’s finally fixed! So, I wanted to take advantage of it.
Candles, a Lush bath bomb & a book 🛀🏼
My friend Kirsty got me the Lush box set for my birthday.
It had loads of lovely bits in it.
I used The comforter bubble bar
‘Berry yourself under a blackcurrant blanket of bubbles and let this fruity little number put your world to rights.’
In the box you also got Sex bomb bath bomb
‘Grab one of these for the ultimate sensual bath – grabbing a pair is even better!’

You also get Rub Rub Rub Shower scrub
It made my skin SO soft!! I love this product.
‘Spring into softened skin with floral jasmine, sea salt and fresh lemon juice.’

This is a Gorgeous facial moisturiser sample.
Freshly juiced fruits with cold-pressed and organic oiks for brightened, revived skin.
Love & Light hand cream.
This light neroli and orange blossom lotion will fit your hand like a glove.
I can’t wait to try out the other products.
It was lovely to just chill out and have a soak at the end of the week, especially with all the wedding planning stress!
Until next time,
Roseanne 🙂
Today’s make up look.
A lunchtime treat.
I thought I would do a blog post about a lovely place that we like to go to, to have lunch. I particularly like this place as it is super delicious and one of the most Slimming World friendly places I have found.
It’s called ‘Blends ‘ and it’s a lovely coffee shop/cafe in Ipswich Town centre.
They do really yummy jacket potatoes which is what I always have. They do lots of toppings including cheese which you can have as your healthy extra A (HEX A), beans, roasted ham, pesto chicken etc.
Yesterday I had pesto chicken and it was really fresh and tasty. I only had to syn the pesto and since it’s not smothered in it this isn’t too synful at all. As you can see the portions are great too.
The butter comes separately so you can add this at your own discretion, also great for Slimming world AND it comes with lots of salad! I don’t usually eat the colslaw as this is hard to syn.
They also do a variety of sandwiches and fillings, you can choose wholemeal bread which is great if you’ve saved your Healthy extra B.
They do tea/coffee which is also great if you have saved your HEX A for milk and diet cokes/lemonade. It’s so yummy and a great price too.
Definatly worth checking out!
Until next time,
Roseanne 🙂
