April Beauty Favourites πŸŒΈ

As its coming up to the end of April I thought that I would do an April favourites blog post as I havn’t done one of these in aaaaages! And these are some of my favourite blogs/vlogs to read and watch.

I’ve been trying out lots of different make up items this month so I thought it would be cool to make that the focus of my favourites.

So, let’s take a look at the beauty bits I’ve been enjoying throughout April 🌼

I’ve tried two new foundations this month, the Maybelline Super stay 24/7 full coverage foundation, in the shade porcelain and Rimmels match perfection foundation in the shade Ivory.

These are both really lovely foundations with great coverage and they are super affordable. The finish of these makes your skin look really flawless and they make a great base for your make up look.

Tanya Burr’s ‘Peony please’ illuminating powder.

This is just SO pretty. It is honestly one of my favourite make up items Ever.

It’s a great highlighter but also (and this is what I like to do) it is perfect for creating a pretty, fresh and glowy look. I apply this to the apples of my cheeks and along the top of my cheeks bones to give them a gorgeous glowy shimmer that makes your skin look amazing.

If you havn’t tried it I would 100% recommend giving it a go.

Benefit Ka-brow!

This is a fantastic brow product and its super long lasting. It’s creamy formula applies really easily and is great for creating a natural brow look in no time at all. The little angled brush makes it seamless when applying and creating shape and definition to your brow. This is often on offer in Boots so check it out if you are on the look out for a new brow product to try.

Some brushes that I have been loving are these two, as seen above. The large fluffyΒ  brush is by Real Techniques, I love using this to apply the Tanya Burr Illuminator to my cheeks and face.

The face brush at the bottom is also by Real techniques and it is what I’ve been using to apply my concealor/foundation recently and I am loving the finish it gives.

And finally, onto lip products.

Forever a fave… Tanya Burrs ‘Pink Cocoa’ creme lipstick. It is the prettiest nude shade and is so versatile, from everyday make up, evenings out and parties it is such a pretty shade.

I’ve also been loving pinky toned lip colours such as the Nyx soft matte lip cremes, especially the shade ‘Istanbul’. The perfect spring pink.

They are definatly a make up bag staple if you are a lover of liquid lipsticks!!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this insight into my current faves.
Maybe give some a go if your looking for something new to add to your make up collection!

See you soon.

Until next time,

Real Techniques Sculpting set.

I have been admiring the Real Techniques Sculpting set for a little while now. Most of my brushes are Real Techniques as I got them for a bargain price last year, check that out here.

So this sculpting set is a collectors edition so the look of the brushes is a bit different, they are more shiny and metallic as apposed to the usual matte look that the handles have. The set includes some brushes that I have wanted to try for ages as well as ones that I’ve wanted better versions of.

Let’s take a look at the set…

Accentuate favourite features, create defined contours for added depth, or simply enhance your natural bone structure with our collectors edition sculpting set.

With the use of light and dark makeup shades, this set gives you the flexibility to transform your look:

-Look pixel perfect even in harsh light.

-Ultra plush synthetic bristles.

  • Sculpting brush:  Features a wide, angled head specifically designed to help create defined contouts.
  • EXCLUSIVE Fan brush: Softly sweeps on powders & whisks away any excess make up for an even finish.
  • Setting brush: The key to completing any look with a controlled dusting of powder or highlighter.

(Pics below in order of list)

This is perfect for contouring and really defines your cheek bones.

This fan brush is so light and soft, it creates an amazing highlight with a small amount of product.

The setting brush is great for blending in concealer. This is what I’ve used it for so far and it works really well, especially for lighter concealor under and around the eyes.

Here’s how my make up looked when I used these brushes:

You can tell that these brushes are really good quality and this set only cost me Β£8.99 on eBay.

Which make up brushes are your fave?

    Until next time,

    New year Make up Wishlist!

A new year, a new wishlist and where better to start than with Make up!

These are a mixture of both drug store and High end. I have included a mixture of highlighter, blush, lip, face and eye shadow products as well as some make up brushes that I would like to add to my collection.

I already have some products by some of these brands but others I have seen online, been recommended or I’ve seen on YouTube videos and have liked the look of them.

    Lets go…

    sleekmakeup-storm-i-devine-6

Sleek  Make up I-Divine ‘Storm’ eye shadow palette. I love the colours in this palette, especially the shimmery tones, the pink and burgundy shimmers at the top and the navy blue, grey and emerald shimmers at the bottom are my particular favorites

    sleek_vintageromancepalette002

Sleek I Divine ‘Vintage Romance’ eye shadow palette. Most of these shades are again shimmery, which I definitely prefer. The gold and bronzy tones at the top and the pinky purples are gorgeous.

    kylie_main

Kylie Jenner ‘Burgundy eye shadow Palette’. What to say about this? Its just beautiful. The colours in this are so pretty. I love the mixture of matte and shimmer tones, perfect for day or night looks.

The HUDA Beauty ‘Rose gold’ palette is just gorgeous! The mix of shades, mattes and shimmers makes this palette so pretty and perfect for creating lots of different make up looks. The gold, pinky tones and browns are so lovely.

    8891497021470

Maybelline New York single eye shadow in the shade ‘Copper fizz’. I love copper/browny/gold tones and this one is so pretty.

    2282877

Maybelline ‘Lash Sensational’ Full fan effect mascara. I’m a bit of a mascara novice so I don’t really know much about which ones are good or not. Zoella recommends this mascara often on her videos and my sister also wears this and highly recommends it too.

    s1822204-main-hero

Kat Von D ‘Lock it’ Translucent setting powder. I don’t use a setting powder at the moment but I would like to try one as everyone always says how great they finish your make up and make it last all day long. I’ve only heard good things about Kat Von D’s products so I’d love to try one out. They are also really reasonably priced! When I heard her make up was becoming available online at Debenhams I thought it would be really expensive but it isn’t too bad.

    2017-01-15-17-43-52-1205241129

BECCA x ‘Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection’ face palette. This palette is so pretty!! It has five shades of highlight and blush to give you the perfect glow. You get a highlighter in the iconic shade ‘Champagne pop’ as well as two other highlighter shades, two mineral blush shades and a luminous blush hue in the shade ‘Rose Spritz’. Highlighter and blush and two of my favorite make up products so this product is perfect for me.

    fdaeedbb9ef54b98e2dc80707a2170e6

Mac Lipstick in the shade ‘Velvet Teddy’. This is a lovely nude lipstick, I’m more of a pink toned lipstick kinda girl but my sister loves this shade so I gave it a go recently and it grew on me.  Its a matte lipstick but it is really moisturizing as you apply it and not drying on your lips. This nude would be a great addition to my lipstick collection.

    posie-k_lipkit

Kylie Jenner Lipkit in the shade ‘Posie-K’. As I said I love pink toned lip products and I would love to try one of her lip kits as I have only heard  good things about them. In her kits you get a matte liquid lipstick and a matching lip liner. I’ve recently discovered lip liner and it makes lip application so much easier and neater and I just adore this colour.

    sleek-power-plump-lip-crayons-2

Sleek Make up ‘Power Plump lip crayons’. I really like Sleek products and they are super affordable. I love that these come in a wide variety of shades, a nude, a pink, a dark pink, a coral, a berry, and a red. They aim to make your lips shine and look fuller. I cant wait to try these out, but which one to choose haha!!

    On to brushes…

    2-buffing-brush-1

The Real techniques ‘Buffing brush’. After watching some of Sam & Nic’s tutorials over on their channel ‘Pixiwoo’ I really want to purchase one of their buffing brushes. They use this to apply foundation and “Buff” it into the skin to get a flawless look. I usually use a beauty blender but it would be good to have this brush too to get the best finish.

    real-techniques-retractable-bronzer-brush-kabuki-brush-3

The Real Techniques ‘bronzer brush’. I love this large brush and would like to use this to apply my powder (when I get one!) So these will be a joint purchase. I love the size of this brush too.

    and finally…

    realtechniques_boldmetals001

The Real Techniques ‘Bold Metals’ collection. These brushes are BEAUTIFUL!  The silver, gold and copper/rose gold colours are so pretty. I love these and I already really like the Real Techniques brushes, the quality is super, so these would make a lovely addition to my make up brush collection.

I hope you enjoyed this post! I’ll let you know when I get my hands on some of these, and of they love up to my expectations! Maybe I will do a blog post when I have acquired a few of these items πŸ‘

    Whats on your wishlist?
