The penultimate wedding update! (14)
The more I get sorted for the wedding the more mixed feelings I get, on the one hand its so good to tick things off the list and be at a point when most things are now done, but on the other hand I’m sad that the organisation and prep is coming to an end!
You only do this once and I have loved organising a day that we will love and that represents me, Tim and us as a couple β‘ I can’t wait to share our special day with all our family and friends.
Final make up trial
Demi came round last Tuesday evening to do my final make up trial before the big day. We went through all the pieces of make up I’d previously chosen and decided on a few more finishing touches.
Once we’d decided on everything Demi did my make up as it would be done on the day, I loved it and can’t wait to have it done again on Saturday! Exciting.
Wedding shopping- buying the last few bits
On the bank holiday Monday I did some serious wedding shopping! I had so many bags I was aching by the time I got home, but I managed to tick lots off the list.
I brought a few more gifts for people who have helped us or will be helping us on the big day.
I also found some lovely green gerberas (fake ones) in wilkos home department. They will look fab along with the white and pink flowers we’ve already got for the ceremony room.
I also brought a few little bits and bobs like string to hang up photos in the venue and pins etc, very important all the same as these will make decorating on the Friday before much less stressful!!
Final catering arrangements
On Saturday evening me and Tim spoke to our caterers (Mobile pizzeria) about our final numbers and pizza allocations for each table.
It was good to speak to Tim (confusingly our caterer is also a Tim) about the food and service as apart from a few emails Tim has done most of the corresponding with him.
Once all this had been sorted and the final invoice had been sent over we were able to pay! That’s the last big thing we needed to pay for so we are pretty much done!!
The only thing left are:
β My hair
β Me nails
β The hotel for the wedding night
These are all being paid for on the day!
5 days to go!!!
Until next time,
Roseanne π
Eating out: Cult Cafe
Me and my friend when for a chilled out dinner at a little cafe/bar called Cult. It’s right around the corner from me and is so lovely. I’ve mentioned it in a previous blog as they also do amazing tea and homemade cake.
For dinner I had one of their yummy ‘Bento boxes’. The bento box is a combo platter that includes a mound of white rice with a mai-kee sauce, miso noodle soup,Β a house salad and djanga pickles.
You then get to choose two accompaniments, I chose the Nakatomi Scrampi flies which is mashed up prawns with ginger and spring onion that are balled up and fried, and the Holly momos which are three pork and shrimp dumplings sautΓ©ed and fried. So delicious!
There’s so many different flavours and textures, a really tasty meal.
The ‘Bento Box’ is Β£10 which is a bit pricier than some of the other options but the fact that it’s super yummy and customisable is great.
A diet coke was only Β£2 which was great to wash down my meal, refreshingly served on a glass with ice.
The decor is wicked and it has lots of unique pieces.
Give it a try!
Until next time,
Roseanne π
Busted are back!
Yesterday me, my twin sister Sarah, mum & Dad went to London to see Busted live in concert at the 02 arena.
We drove to Westfield, Stratford and parked there. We arrived with plenty of time for lunch and a spot of shopping!
For lunch we decided to go to Wagamamas. I’ve never been before and it was super delicious. I had the Yaki Soba with prawn and chicken.
And a side of crispy chilli squid…
After that we headed to the shops, first stop John Lewis. I really wanted to spend my birthday money, I’ve saved it up in order to buy myself a ‘Fitbit’.
I’m looking forward to getting my new gadget set up!
We also spent some time in Primark (suprise, suprise!!) Check out my blog over the next few days for a Primark beauty haul blog post.
We made our way to the 02 after this ready for the concert! So exciting, I can’t believe it’s been 12 years since Busted split up. I was also looking forward to Wheatus who were one of the support acts.
Here are some pictures of Busted:
I can’t believe that Busted have been split up for 12 years, I was 13 years old! At 25 it’s crazy to look back and see how much has changed/been achieved in those 12 years…
β Achieved 9 & half GCSEs.
β Went abroad for the first time.
β Achieved 3 A levels.
β Got my first job.
β Met the love of my life.
β Discovered my favourite country/place in the world.
β Graduated from university.
β Got a morgage and moved into our first home.
β Started my career as a Teaching assistants.
β Became an Auntie.
β Got engaged.
And in just under two weeks time we’ll be married!!!
It was really awesome to watch them live again, 13 year old Roseanne and 25 year old Roseanne were very happy! It was great to hear some of the classics and some of their songs I loved that they havnt performed live before.
It was a really fun day and I’m looking forward to seeing them again at Newmarket nights.
Until next time,
Roseanne π
Wedding update no 13!
Just a quick update for last week’s wedding planning progress…
Flowers
Yesterday, my Mum & sister went and ordered the flowers for the tables and to decorate around the venue for me.
We’ve ordered them from the local market in the town centre. They have a great variety and are a bargin. In total the flowers for all 11 guest tables and 5 other tables it cost Β£50! Happy with that.
Tables & Seating plan
This week we reviewed our seating plan and decided that now we have 94 guest (instead of just over 100) we would cut the tables down to 11 guest tables.
This made the tables much more even and we managed to work out good places to move guests to in order to do this.
This has also saved me making one more centrepiece which is good as they I have already made 11, something else to tick of the list!
Hen do no 3!
Now I know 3 is a bit excessive, but I’m not complaining.
My older sister, who works at the same school as me, and a few other people had organised a suprise work hen do for me.
They dressed me up in all my finery again and off we went for dinner and drinks (lots of drinks!!) at Isaacs on the Waterfront.
The pulled pork nachos I had were delicious.
It was a really fun night and it was lovely that so many people from work came along to celebrate with me.
2 WEEKS TO GO TODAY!!!
Until next time,

Wedding update no 12!
24 days to go!
So, as I said I’m going to do a blog each week leading up to the wedding! And this week has been a busy week for making arrangements.
Flowers
The picture above isn’t my bouquet but is similar in its style and the flowers in it. I don’t want to give too much away before the big day incase anyone attending is reading my blog.
The ladies from ‘my silk flowers‘ came over and showed us the completed bouquets, buttonholes and corsages, we were both really happy with the final products. So pretty!
I can’t wait to walk down the aisle with my beautiful bouquet.
The DJ
Last night the DJ we’ve hired came over to discuss music. It was good to get an idea of how the night would go in terms of the first dance and the order of the music being played.
We talked about what we did and didn’t like as well as the requests we already had from our guests.
Videographer
Me and Livy (our Videographer) visited Wantisden Valley on Saturday so that she could get a feel for the venue and where to set herself up.
We checked out the ceremony room and tested out how well our voices recorded, stage set up and where all the plug sockets were etc.
It was wierd being there knowing that the next time I’d be there would probably be the day before the big day!!
It’s coming around so quickly β
Until next time,
Roseanne π
My Harry Potter Hen do β
This time last week I was en route to my Hen do. It was such an awesome weekend, here’s what we got up to!
Saturday 7th May
My auntie picked me and Tims mum up and we set off for the hen do around 1pm. My sisters, who organised the hen do kept the location a secret from me so I kept a look out for sign posts as we were on our way.
At 3pm we arrived in Watford, found our car park, checked into the travelodge where we were staying and waited for everyone to arrive.
Me, Sarah & Charlotte shared a room.
‘The chamber of secrets has been opened, enemies of the heir beware.’
We all had Hogwarts house bunting in our rooms (We were Gryffindor of course!) And a Golden Snitch chocolate on our pillows.
After a trip to the shops and a quick Krispy Kreme we went back to our rooms and got ready for dinner and drinks.
A table was booked for us at GBK and Sarah & Charlotte had decorated the table to a Harry Potter theme…
So cool.
We also had goodie bags with House ties to wear, chocolate frogs, Bertie Botts beans and wand biscuits!!
The food was delicious. For a review of GBK check out my blog post from a few weeks ago here.
Me, Kerry & Cherisse.

Hannah, Me & Livy.
Me & Charlotte D.
After dinner we walked along the town centre to find a bar and decided on a Australian bar called Walkabout. We had a sticker for a free shot so why not!
They did really yummy cocktails and some interesting shots. We stayed here until gone midnight drinking our cocktails and dancing the night away.
We made our way back to the hotel just after 12 ready for the next days events. I still didn’t know what we were doing or why we were in Watford!!!
Sunday 8th May
Sunday started off with breakfast in the hotel resturant.
After breakfast Sarah & Charlotte got me changed ready for the days events…
In keeping with the Harry Potter theme… Can you guess who I am??
Hedwig the owl.
This is when they revealed that WE WERE OFF TO THE WARNER BROS HARRY POTTER STUDIO TOUR!!!
Some of the others had dressed up too…
Charlotte was Prof Mcgonagall & Sarah was Luna Lovegood.
Kerry was Bellatrix Lestrange & Cherisse was dressed as a Gryffindor witch.
Roxy also dressed as Bellatrix Lestrange.
Livy dressed as Hermione.
And now for the best moment of my life, to date.
I GOT TO OPEN THE DOORS TO THE GREAT HALL The actual real doors, AMAZING. #emotional
I had that smile on my face for a while!
The tour is amazing. Here are just a few snaps…
It was fantastic and so much fun.
And of course there was time for a quick refreshment break in between…
Butterbeer and Butterbeer ice cream!!
BEST. HEN DO. EVER.
Until next time,
Roseanne π

I’m going to do an update every week for the last month to document it all coming together, plus the more I blog about what is done and ready the less ill stress about what isn’t haha.

The big day will be here before we know it!
Until next time,

Wedding update no 10 β‘
Excuse the long post but I haven’t done a wedding update for a little while as I’ve been so busy!! Here’s what we’ve been busy with…
Flowers
On Monday 18th (April) the ladies who are creating my wedding flowers came round. They brought along my bouquet for me to haveΒ a look at as well Tims buttonhole and two options for the bridesmaids bouquets.
It was great to see all my flower choices together in the bouquet and they were arranged beautifully! I’m really pleased with them, so much so I didn’t want to give them back!!
We will meet up at the end of May with the final bouquets and buttonholes finished. I can’t wait to see them once they are done.
We have finally decided on all our readings and music for the ceremony and signing of the register.
We sat down together and chose our vows, we picked some that are the same and some that are different.Β Yesterday I sent off our choices to the registry office so that they can start writing the script for our big day. It’s getting very real now!!
The wedding dress
I had my final dress fitting on Wednesday 20th (April). They had taken it in at the back as there was a bit of a gape and they replaced the hook & eye at the back with a popper to ensure that it stayed done up
I’m so pleased with how it looks, I was a little unsure with the shape last time but because they’ve taken it in at the back it’s pulled it in and made it a lovely shape on me. I can’t wait to wear it on the big day with my shoes, veil & tiara, with my hair and make up done nicely! Exciting!!
Gifts
At the moment we are in the process of buying the gifts and things for the wedding party, I’m really pleased with what we’ve got so far. I likelovebuying gifts for people, getting something you know they’ll like.
We’re trying to get all the gifts sorted now as in May (ahh it’s here already!!) the final payments are due.
On Sunday 24th (April) me, mum and my three bridesmaids went shopping in Norwich
We thought it would be nice to make a day of it and go somewhere a bit different.
There are lots of shoe shops in Norwich so we had plenty of choice, which is great as the bridesmaids were all looking for something a little different from one another. Charlotte and Sarah were looking for sandals as Charlotte is quite tall already and Sarah will be heavily pregnant therefore comfort is essential! Roxy on the other hand was looking for heels
Once we’d looked around a few shops we stopped for lunch at GBK and met Auntie Frances.
Once we were refuelled we looked around some more shops!
Sarah picked up some lovely sandals in Primark for Β£8 they are really pretty and a bargin at that price. They are cream with lovely jems and pearls up the strap. I fancied getting a pair myself haha. Charlotte found some lovely nudey/pink sparkly sandals in Shoe zone for only Β£7.99 and Roxy found some nice patent, cream strappy heels in Mr shoe outlet for Β£15!
I’m so glad everyone has found some shoes that they are happy with! That’s one more thing ticked off the list.
Payments
we’ve now paid off a few of the final things as a lot are due this month and some don’t require numbers of guests etc.
Paid
βDecorations
βCar
βDJ
βVenue
It’s going to be an expensive month!!
The final guest list
We have now gone past the RSVP deadline so last night me and Tim put together the final guest list. We went through to make sure we had first and surnames for everyone as we need to write place cards sooner rather than later. It’s all coming together now.
I think that’s covered everything! I’m super excited for this weekend as it’s my Hen do!! It’s been kept as a complete suprise from me so I can’t wait to find out what we are doing. I will do a separate blog post on this when I get back.
37 days to go β‘β
Until next time,
Roseanne π
