Blogmas 2025 ⛄️ Day 24: Homemade Christmas Cards

Hi guys πŸ‘‹πŸ»

IT’S CHRISTMAS EVE!!! WOOHOO

The penultimate Blogmas Day 😱

Each year I love to have a go at making my own Christmas cards and I try out lots of different designs and techniques.

I thought I would share a few designs with you from this years collection. I have predominantly gone for a hand drawn vibe.

Let’s take a look.

I love the hand drawn vibes, especially of the baubles, with the little gems to add a bit of detail and sparkle.

I love having a go at writing in different fonts too, I need to do a calligraphy course or something. That would be cool.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVE!!!

Blogmas 2024: Day 16 Christmas Market & craft fun βœ¨οΈ

Hi guys πŸ‘‹πŸ»

We are in to single figures for our Christmas countdown now!! Whoop whoop.Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β                         One excellent way to get you into the festive spirit is a Christmas market! A few weeks ago, I went to one with my sisters, nephews, and niece.

We started off with some much needed sustenance in the form of hot chocolates and mince pies, both of which were delicious.

We then had a little wander around the Christmas market.

Very festive!

I picked myself and my older sister up a pair of these earrings each.  I love them! They are handmade and super colourful.

I had booked my nephews and niece onto their craft afternoon as we went to their Halloween craft event, and it was brilliant. Such great value and only Β£5 each (per child)

They had a great time, and once again, there were loads for them to do. They could decorate their own little bag to put their creations in, make Christmas cards with a variety of festive resources, Christmas Colouring, DIY fridge magnets and badges, make your own jewellery and garlands as well as design your own wooden tree decorations. It was fab!

We all had a really fun time dressed up in our festive jumpers, and we stayed for the whole 2 hours. The kids were engrossed!

All in all, it was a fun, festive way to spend a Saturday!

Have you been to a Christmas market yet?

9 days to go!!

Blogmas 2024: Day 10 πŸŽ„ Christmas Wreath Making

Hi guys πŸ‘‹πŸ»

Welcome to day 10 of Blogmas!

A few weekends ago me and my husband and I attended a Wreath Making workshop organised by some of his work colleagues, just a fun little Christmassy get together. Tim invited me along, too, because he knew this would be right up my street.

It was really fun, and although I got pricked by Holly several times, I really enjoyed creating my Wreath.

Here’s how it went…

As you can see from the final pictures just above, we went for very different themes. They both came out really well, and we now have two lovely, festive, homemade wreaths to decorate our home. We’ve popped Tim’s on the front foot and mine on the lounge door.

Have you ever made a homemade Wreath?

Blogmas 2023 Day Thirteen: Homemade Christmas Cards

Hi Guys πŸ‘‹πŸ»

I always try and make some time to create some homemade Christmas cards, especially at Christmas.

I feel like this year has been a bit hectic! And time has run away with me a little towards the end of term, at work.

However, I have found the time (and thankfully some supplies from last year) to make a few cards for people.

I’ve gone for a couple of different themes from traditional colours to icy/snowy themed ones. I haven’t finished my cards for my immediate family & friends yet, but here is a little look at a few I’ve made to send off.

Have you ever had a go at making your own cards?

Blogmas Day Fifteen: A christmas booklover diy gift πŸ“š

Hi guys πŸ‘‹πŸΌ

So this week we are having our last Book Club meeting before Christmas and the New Year, and I saw a really cute idea online that I thought was perfect to make everyone.

They are book baubles!

So I bought some clear baubles on Amazon, I then set about printing, cutting (lots of cutting) and laminating the tiny pictures of all of the books that we have read at Book Club this year.

I did them double sided so that they looked good inside the bauble from all angles. This did take a little while but I made them in an evening so it isn’t as time consuming as it looks.

These would make a great present for a book lover friend. If you know what they have read this year or maybe just make one with their favourite books in.

They are relatively easy and super effective.

I finished them off by writing ‘2022’ in a silver pen and adding a red ribbon to hang them up.

I know not everyone has a laminater but they looked really effective this way and I was really pleased with the finish.

I can’t wait to pop mine on my tree – what a great year for book club books it has been.

What have you read this year?

Blogmas Day Fourteen: Christmas Card Craft

Hi guys πŸ‘‹πŸ»

11 days until Christmas!

I enjoy making cards and have been doing so for like 12 years now, maybe longer.

I wish I had more time to do it to be honest and the last few years its been hard to make them for both birthdays and Christmas….

…For birthday’s I have opted for the assistance of a certain Funky Pidgeon but I like to make sure that I hand make my Christmas ones.

(Why? when it’s the busiest time of year I don’t know 🀣😬)

But its a good activity to make you feel festive, so here we are again!

Let’s take a look!

Until Next Time,
