So last September I joined Slimming World. I have never had a problem with my weight throughout my life, quite the opposite in fact, yet into my 20s it all went a bit down hill…
My older sister Charlotte joined a group at the school where we work and, reluctantly I went along a couple of weeks later, I knew I needed to do something and it was so much better and easier than I though.
I had a perception of those sort of meetings, Fat fighters of Little Britain was the image that came into my head, but I was pleasantly surprised and really got into the extra easy plan…you can eat so much!!
2 stone later however, I seem to have lost my way a bit. The wedding is a massive motivation to me and I know that I need to get back on track because I will be gutted if I look back at my pictures and don’t love them.
when I got to my 2 stone award
I loved how I felt when I got to my 2 stone award, it was awesome!
I Read this in the slimming world magazine and it really struck a cord with me. My lovely fiance Tim always tells me I look beautiful and that he loves me how I am, it doesn’t make a difference to him how much I weigh, the problem, I never believe him.
If you don’t love yourself, it’s hard to accept that someone else loves you.
I would love to agree with him and be comfortable with my body, he always looks so sad when I say; ‘no I’m not’.
So I’m back on it with full force and determination!! Tim and my sister have been really helpful so fingers crossed I can get that stone off by Christmas.
I will be giving Michelle, our slimming world consultant, my 2 stone award back until I’ve earnt it again.
Here are my rules, that I set for myself, to succeed now that I know where I went wrong:
1. Stick to the plan properly.
2. Dont have fizzy or crisps.
2. Have SW hi fi bars to satisfy my chocolate cravings.
3. No treat after SW unless I lose or stay the same.
I am back in control! #choicepower
I’d love to hear about anyone else weight loss journeys!! Talking about your weight can be quite hard for some people and its quite a personal thing but, if it’s what you want never give up.
Until next time,
Roseanne 🙂
