Where it all began… 11.06 16 πŸ’—βœ¨οΈπŸ’

Hi guys πŸ‘‹πŸ»

It’s our 8 year wedding anniversary today! πŸ’—πŸ’

In August 2015, we started planning our wedding, and that is when I began ‘Roseanne’s blog’ to document our wedding planning & the big day!

So, heres a little look at our wonderful day πŸ₯Ή

Some of my favourite things about our wedding day that we planned were:

β€’The venue – it was a converted barn that was beautiful, and we both fell in love with it the first time we visited. We just got this feeling that this was the place β™‘ I loved the incorporation of all the old features of the barn in the venue, as well as the two separate rooms for the ceremony and reception. It was just perfect.

β€’The Colour scheme. My two favourite colours and I just love how they look together in all aspects from the flowers, centrepieces and decorations.

β€’The people involved in our day. It was so lovely spending the day with so many loved ones. We really enjoyed having some of our favourite people for both the bride & groom parties, that we chose together, as well as those doing the readings, photos/videos (which were family & friends) It all added to the day and made it so special.

β€’Our geeky touches that made the wedding ‘us’ from a Middle Earth wedding breakfast to Harry Potter wedding programs and a Honeydukes sweet shop at the Reception. I just loved adding all these little personal details to our day.

β€’Our Italian inspired food (Pizza & antipast!!) including our cake with authentic Italian decorations from Venice 😍

Blogiversary no2 πŸŽ‰

So Sunday (the 8th October) marked two years since I started my blog, TWO!! Where has that time gone?!?
As most of you who have followed my blog from the beginning will know I started my blog to document our wedding planning, wahhhh it seems so long ago now!! (if your new, Hey! πŸ‘‹πŸΌ)

I never thought I would be someone who wrote a blog, I thought it was something other people did, ‘cool’ people (whatever cool is these days)

My twin sister Sarah had her blog and she really enjoyed it, I was sceptical but I gave it a go and it turned out to be a hobby I would come to really enjoy. I love that I can look back at moments in my life, recipes I’ve made, shopping sprees I’ve been on and just the things that I’ve been loving over the years, many of which I might have forgotten if it wasnt for them being documented in my own little space.

I’m especially pleased that I documented our wedding planning, as anyone who has got married will know, it all goes very quickly so I will always have that to look back on and remind me of that v.stressful, but fun process, the decisions we made that got us to that special day and just little things that I may not remember forever but will make me smile when I read them back.

A blog has such potential, so if your thinking of doing it, do! Just go for it. Don’t be afraid of what others will think of your writing, it’s yours to make of it what you wish and you’ll never please everyone (Why would you want to anyway, some people are d**ks) + It’s good fun πŸ‘πŸ»

Here’s to many more years here at Roseanne’s s Blog!

Wedding update no 13!

Just a quick update for last week’s wedding planning progress…

Flowers

Yesterday, my Mum & sister went and ordered the flowers for the tables and to decorate around the venue for me.

We’ve ordered them from the local market in the town centre. They have a great variety and are a bargin. In total the flowers for all 11 guest tables and 5 other tables it cost Β£50! Happy with that.

Tables & Seating plan

This week we reviewed our seating plan and decided that now we have 94 guest (instead of just over 100) we would cut the tables down to 11 guest tables.

This made the tables much more even and we managed to work out good places to move guests to in order to do this.

This has also saved me making one more centrepiece which is good as they I have already made 11, something else to tick of the list!

Hen do no 3!

Now I know 3 is a bit excessive, but I’m not complaining.

My older sister, who works at the same school as me, and a few other people had organised a suprise work hen do for me.

They dressed me up in all my finery again and off we went for dinner and drinks (lots of drinks!!) at Isaacs on the Waterfront.

The pulled pork nachos I had were delicious.

It was a really fun night and it was lovely that so many people from work came along to celebrate with me.

2 WEEKS TO GO TODAY!!!

Until next time,
