Blogmas 2025 ⛄️ Day 23: Festive Cinema 🎥

Hi guys 👋🏻

Happy Christmas Eve, Eve

Me and my twin sister LOVE going to the cinema, its literally one of our most favourite things to do and we’ve had our Unlimited cards since we were 18/19! Love that thing.

My husband even got himself an Unlimited card when we got together because I liked going so much so he thought he might as well too haha.

There have been a couple of festive films out this season as well as their usual showings of old classics and family faves.

I’ll leave a link here to Blogmas Day 9 , where I reviewed ‘Christmas Karma’ the new Christmas themed musical comedy – drama based on ‘A Christmas Carol’ by Charles Dickens. I watched that with my nephews and niece at the end of November and it was really good.

Christmas Karma

Blogmas 2025 ⛄️ Day 9: Christmas Karma

I’ve also watched two other Christmas films at the cinema…

Silent Night, Deadly Night

I actually really enjoyed this film. I know in the grand scheme of horror films it was a bit random and less highly publicised but it was enjoyable to watch. They didn’t drag it out like some films do, it had a good flow. It was an interesting story idea that I haven’t seen before and it had quite a few surprising moments that kept it interesting.

My husband isn’t a horror fan so it was just me and my twin sister for this one.

I’d give this a solid 7/10.

It’s a wonderful life

This is my favourite Christmas film, I love it. I will never forget the first time I watched this film, it was so far from what I expected and it blew my mind at how lovely and brilliant it is.

I love how cleverly the story us weaved and portrayed to us. The characters are very likeable and its just so lovely to watch.

I love the message of the film… at the heart of it, it just makes you, the ordinary man or woman, want to squeeze out every bit of life you are given.

I love it and they usually show it at the cinema so I try and go if I can. My twin sister and husband came along to this one too.

It’s a wonderful life gets an 11/10

My favourite Christmas films are:

  1. It’s a wonderful life
  2. Elf
  3. Deck the Halls
  4. The Snowman
  5. The Grinch
  6. Love Actually
  7. Last Christmas
  8. That Christmas
  9. Jack Frost
  10. The Holiday

Have you been to the cinema to see a festive film?

What have you been to see?

Until Next Time,

Roseanne 🙂

Blogmas 2025 ⛄️ Day 9: Christmas Karma

Hi guys 👋🏻

Welcome to Blogmas Day Nine.

Me and my husband took our nephews and niece to see a new Christmas film, recently released in the cinema – Christmas Karma.

It’s got lots of famous faces you’ll recognise, some catchy songs, a story you’ll recognise (but with a fun, interesting twist on the classic) A Christmas Carol, and a lovely message.

I thoroughly enjoyed the film and would go back and watch it again, I’m hoping my sister will want to go haha.

I always love it when we have a new christmas film to watch during the festive period and in the last few years there have been some brilliant ones.

What’s your favourite ‘modern’ christmas film from the 2010’s/2020’s?

Mine is probably ‘Last Christmas’ from 2019.

16 Days until Christmas!

Until Next Time,

Roseanne 🙂

Blogmas 2024: Day 13 A festive film night

Hi guys 👋🏻

This time of year is perfect for a cosy film night, and there are plenty to choose from, who doesn’t love a Christmas film!

Now, one of my favourite Christmas films of all time is ‘It’s a wonderful life’. Now I know this is a bit of a rogue choice for come people but I think it is a brilliant Christmas film. It’s a classic and if you’ve never seen it watch it, give it a chance because it’s lovely and it had a lovely message. I was always very sceptical, but I am so glad I gave it a chance. I honestly think it’s one of the best films I’ve ever seen.

I introduced my twin sister to it last year, and she also loved it, so we thought we would watch it together one evening last week.

Once we’d had dinner, we settled down with our snacks to enjoy the film!

It’s definitely worth a go! Let me know if you watch it and what you think.

12 days to go!!

Until Next Time,

Roseanne 🙂

Blogmas 2024: Day 11 A festive ‘cinema’ showing with Nephews 🎅🏻🎞🍿

Hi guys 👋🏻

Now, who doesn’t love a good Christmas film! And I was really excited to hear about the new animated one by Richard Curtis!!

I first heard about it because Ed Sheeran has written and sung a song for it, and I knew that alone would make it a hit with my nephews. Plus, Richard Curtis! Come on.

So, last weekend I opened up ‘RoRo’s  Cinema’ for an exclusive festive showing. My nephews love it when I do this, and it’s such a simple, fun, inexpensive activity.

We had special festive snack boxes, and we settled down with our hot chocolates and blankets to enjoy the film.

We all really enjoyed it. I thought it was really sweet and very poignant. Ed Sheerans song made me want to cry, and there were some really lovely, likeable characters. I loved it.

I would 100% recommend going this a watch on Netflix.

Have you seen it yet? What did you think?

14 days to go!! 2 weeks!!

Until Next Time,

Roseanne 🙂

July Highlights ✨️

Hi guys 👋🏻

Here are my July Highlights…

Lots of fun cinema trips! A Quiet Place Day One was a highlight for sure!

We celebrated my husbands 33rd birthday!

We had some birthday treats including listening to Rome Historian Mary Beard and A trip to the theatre to watch ‘Come from away’ both of which were brilliant.

We celebrated my nieces 7th birthday! 🎈🎀💜

Lots of book buying this month, which is also a highlight. My reading in general has also been great, and I managed to read 7 again this month!! (I’m sure that won’t last into the busy last part of the year 🤣)

Fun with my favourite two 😍

And a bit of pre season watching ✌🏼🚜

Roll on the Summer Hols ☀️

How was your July?

Until Next Time,

Roseanne 🙂

May Highlights ✨️

Hi guys 👋🏻

Here are my May highlights…

Promotion to the Premier League…

An absolutely unbelievable weekend, one we’ll never forget.

I can’t wait for the football season to start up again!

Our Birthday!

We had a fun birthday weekend celebrating together. We grabbed lunch and spent the day hanging out together on Saturday. Delicious picky bits at Revs in the sunshine, mini golf, cocktails, and the cinema.

On our birthday, on the Sunday we had a delicious brunch together, exchanged our presents, spent time with family and had a birthday meal with cake to round off the weekend.

Oh… and we may have got a matching tattoo on our birthday as well 👀

(See the blog post below for the inspiration)

Celebrating special birthdays with friends.

We enjoyed a bottomless brunch in the sunshine 🌞 followed by some fun and games at a local bar, including interactive darts & karaoke.

A lovely family holiday to Norfolk.

We stayed in a lovely air bnb cottage in Norfolk. We went along with my mother in law, brother in law, my husbands Auntie, Cousin, and Grandad. We had a lovely time chilling out, cooking together, exploring nearby towns and Norwich City, walks  (weather permitting), and we even hired a boat, which was a highlight!

& I saw some bats, which was epic.

Going to see Take That live!

I will always love seeing Take That live! No one does it better. I can’t believe that this was the 7th time I’ve seen them love!!

Another fun month! And we are almost halfway through the year!!! Madness.

Until Next Time,

Roseanne 🙂

March highlights ✨️

Hi guys 👋🏻

Here are my March highlights…

We celebrated ‘World Book Day’ at work – I dressed up as Harry Potter ⚡️

We celebrated my Uni friends’ baby shower this month, too!! It was lovely to celebrate and catch up.
WE FINALLY HAVE NEW FLOORING AND WERE ABLE TO MOVE BACK INTO OUR HOME !!

& finally,

We watched Mark Watson, the comedian in our hometown. I bought these tickets for my husband, for Christmas! He has seen Mark Watson a few times and really enjoys his comedy. I myself hadn’t seen him live before but he was very funny and I would definitely watch him live again. We got to meet him afterwards, too, and get a signed copy of his book.

What’s been your February Highlight?

✨️

Here’s to a good April!

🌈

Until Next Time,

Roseanne 🙂
