Blogmas 2025 ⛄️ Day 16: Christmas Lights Switch on βœ¨οΈπŸŽ„

Hi guys πŸ‘‹πŸ»

Welcome to Blogmas Day 16!

A few weeks ago me and my husband went to our town Christmas lights switch on. It was a nice little Sunday evening festive activity and it made me feel very Christmassy in November.

Here are some pictures from the evening 😊

I haven’t been able to go to a switch on in our town for years as they’ve been on a Thursday when I’ve been at work so it was nice for it be on a weekend.

Perfect with a mint hot choc in hand.

Have you been to your local lights switch on?

Blogmas 2025 ⛄️ Day 15: My Harry Potter Christmas tree πŸŽ„ βš‘️

Hi guys πŸ‘‹πŸ»

ONLY 10 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!!! WOOHOO!!!

Just like every year, I have a Harry Potter Christmas tree πŸŽ„  it goes up in our bedroom.

So here it is in all its glory! Super happy with it again this year. Loving the addition of the floating candles too 😍

I love the coloured lights and that they are the Hogwarts house colours. I also have some star lights around our curtains (also Hogwarts house colours)

It looks super magical in our room, I love it.

The Sorting Hat works so well as a tree topper too!

Do you have a themed tree?

Hi guys πŸ‘‹πŸ»

Today me and my husband went to London.

We saw a show at Canary Wharf and met up with my Uni friend and her family ar Westfield for dinner.

I thought it would be nice to take some photos of all the lovely festive decorations that I see in London, as they do Christmas lights and decorations so well there.

I love taking festive photos and I thought it would make a nice festive blog post for Blogmas.

Blogmas 2025 ⛄️ Day 10: New Christmas decorations

Hi guys πŸ‘‹πŸ»

Welcome to day 10 of Blogmas! 15 days to go!

Here are some of the new Christmas decorations I have bought this year 😊

Christmas lights ✨️

I love these retro style lights, the colours, the shape are so nostalgic from my childhood.

I love a coloured Christmas light.

This set of three lights us trees were so reasonable and I love how pretty and effective they are.

Our theme is a traditional vibe so I went for the red and gold ones.

I also picked up these twi cute little window lights. These are probably one of my fave are purchases. Also from Aldi.

I had to get this tradional style standing Santa as he just looks so jolly.

Perfect for our traditional theme.

And also got us some new bedding πŸ›Œ

I got us the one pictured above which is festive Guinea Pig bedding as well as a cute Capybara festive bedding. Love it.

And finally, I have bought some new baubles for our tree. I picked these up from Flying Tiger.Β  I love to buy a couple of new baubles each year (which is probably a bad idea as we have loads haha)

Have you bought any new decorations this year?

Blogmas 2025 ⛄️ Day 8: A Christmas Roast πŸŽ„

Hi guys πŸ‘‹πŸ»

Happy Monday!

I had a thoroughly festive weekend that was rounded off yesterday with a delicious roast for lunch with my friend.

We met up for a last meet up before Christmas and to exchange our Christmas presents/cards with each other.

We went for a proper, traditional Sunday lunch at a lovely pub. It was so cosy and festive in there and the food was delicious.

We both went for the turkey roast dinner that came with Pigs in Blankets. I also got some Cauliflower cheese. The turkey and the pig in blanket was my favourite part but it was all really tasty.

For dessert I went for the Chocolate Fondant served with white chocolate ice cream and crumbled shortbread biscuit. I love a chocolate dessert and this really hit the spot.

We had a lovely time, a great pre Christmas catch up with some tasty food. A great way to round off a fun, festive weekend.

Did you get up to anything festive this weekend?

Blogmas 2025 ⛄️ Day 3: Christmas light trail

Hi guys πŸ‘‹πŸ»

I love Christmas lights so when my mother in law invited us along to our local light trail with herself and some of her friends, how could we say no!

And it was brilliant.

We actually went to this display last year for its inaugural year but it was in a different park in my hometown and it was very expensive. This year the trail was set up in a different park and the layout of the park worked much better for this event. It had a more natural trail with paths as apposed to last year when the lights were in big open areas, which wasn’t quite as effective. They have also made it much more affordable which is great!

There were loads more lights, lovely atmospheric music and smoke to add to the magical vibe. There was also a nice little food court in the middle which served delicious hot chocolates. My mint one was so yummy I had two πŸ˜‹ 🀣

I also liked that you could go around the trail more than once, so we did!

The only annoying thing was the torrential rain haha – not ideal! But it was so wet you kinda just had to get on with it by the end haha. It was still a lovely, festive evening.

So, without further ado, let’s take a look at the trail!

Have you been to a Christmas light trail?
